My boyfriend's father bought single day passes in the 90s (with no expiration date) with the intention of passing then on when his kids were old enough to go on their own. I was just wondering if they would be good for a whole day at a park or they would only be worth face value that he paid for in the 90s. For instance if he paid $50 each he would need 2 to go the a park for one day now. Had anyone ever used old passes or know the policy for using them? All I could find was that you could contact Disney directly and they could look up the serial numbers but they are in a safe deposit box and didn't want to have to get them unless they were going to turn them in.

NO expiration should be could for 1:1 day pass. I have some water park add on that were from 2000 that I just used up a few months ago. There was no problem at all. You will have to exchange them for current tickets.

I used old passes a few years ago and had no problem using them. You may have to visit guest services outside, especially with the magic bands that are in use now, but you should be able to use them and not pay anything extra. However, you will not be able to upgrade these tickets, just use them as is. It is also possible that these tickets will be good to park hop. I would ask at guest services with the ticket and see.

Most passes back then were hoppers. Recommendation to look at the passes, be fully aware of what they included at the time, then when converting them to current media be sure that the CM exchanges them for tickets with the proper entitlements. And to not hesitate to escalate to management if the CM does not do it correctly.

I recently used an old park pass from the 80s. Just bring it to the ticket counter and they will exchange it for a new pass. I sort of hated to give up the 80s pass, but I did given that I was just doing a one day visit and $100 is $100 (nice that the old pass could get me in).
