Passes for Sea World and Busch Gardens

Does anyone know how their passport system works? Would I get a plastic card? Do they do a finger scan like WDW? The reason I ask is that I'll be purchasing a pass for my Mom ,she'll use it twice, and I'll be back later in the year and may use it myself. Since I am the person who purchased it, would this work?I know I'm trying to get around the system, but since I'm the one paying the big bucks, I thought this might work.

Don't know how it works at the FL parks, but we have BG Williamsburg passports and it is a cardboard card (not plastic) in a plastic sleeve. They do use hand scanners - I guess it is the biometric thing where you put your hand in and squeeze your fingers on the little knob. We have to do that whenever we enter the park.

At BG Florida they do have the biometric finger scan for their passport members.

Thanks so much for the replies. Guess I'll have to buy Mom the best value ticket for the time she'll be there. That's part of the fun of planning-trying to find the greatest deal!

If she plans on going to both parks they have a fun card that allows her to for 109.00 plus tax. We just got ours and can not wait to use them.

The ones we have (platinum from 2 years ago) doesnt have your picture on it but does have a hand scan to use with the tickets also ocassionally you have to show your pic id if for some reason the ticket scanner is acting up. So I wouldnt chance letting someone use my passports.

Thanks for all your posts! I think the best deal for her will be the Silver Passport (50+) for $134.00 which is good for BG and SW for 1 year from activation. She'll use it 4 times this trip so it will pay for itself right away, and if she returns, its even more of of a bargain! It includes free parking and dining and gft shop discounts. Also, 50% off for Busch parks outside of Florida. We plan to go to Williamsburg in Sept., so that will work out great for us.
