Party of the Senses... need help please!!!

I really need your help. SIL and I are going to the "Party of the Senses" dinner on Oct. 24th and we do not know what the dress attire is for this event. When I booked it they said NO shorts, tube tops, or swimsuits. What we would like to know is it casual or dressy? Would pants and a shirt be OK or do we need to wear slacks and blouses or dresses or pantsuits?

Any and all help please!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

You will be dressed appropriately in almost anything from business dress casual to 'slightly' dressy. Nice slacks and top, sundress, or even a little dressier is okay. You can also be okay in dressy capri's w/a nice top. This event used to be much dressier than it is now. Last year I saw a little bit of all kinds of dress, except very casual shorts and tops. It's a wonderful event and as long as you're not in cut-off's and t-shirts, IMO you will be okay.

Hubby and I are going to be there on 10/24 also...we can't wait.

My wife and I were excited about attending the event (also 10/24), but are concerned that the time allotted, 6:30-8:30 if I recall, is too short. Can anyone who has attending a POTS in the past discuss whether they felt like they had to rush, or whether they ran out of time at the end?

We attended a Bon Appetit-sponsored Food & Wine event that lasted three hours, and found that to be just enough time to sample almost everything. Is two hours enough time? Thanks in advance!

Last year most people were leaving by 8:30. There was more than enough time.
