PVB Tower Charts, Sales Date and more!!!

Really want to find a way to get my Apple Watch and my MB on one strap together.

Oh wow, just realized this is the Poly Tower thread, sorry everbody!
Like @Tatebeck above, I put my MB+ puck in a slider on my Apple Watch band. The Mickey is on the side, so I don't have to twist my arm to touch the tapstyle, and the watch face is in the normal position for use.

The slider I use is a bit of a pain, because I have to remove the slider from the watch and pop the puck out of the slider in order to charge it, but it's much more convenient than wearing both a watch band and a MB.
Yeah you can even get little cases and put them on retractable badge clips if you want to use them that way instead of on your wrist
This sounds attractive too - pre-2014, before MB, I kept my ticket in a lanyard so it was easy to scan. Do you have a link, please?

Also Riv studios with firework viewing dont have luminous music on the TV channel synced whereas I believe poly tpv does have the music synced. These little details are important to a most magical stay for me. I thought the iPad situation at PIT would annoy the hell out of me and it didnt, communication between them and the GCH happened rapidly
ETA: Nvm I read this wrong so deleted an unhelpful response lol 🤷🏼‍♀️

They had some old ones called magic keepers.

But really you can use any puck holder and put it on any retractable badge clip you like

Use the app to make sure your magicbands and/or magicbands+ are working properly to grant access to the elevators and your room. Essentially you can do the same thing the employees checking people in do, but just do it through the app.

You cannot do the same thing CMs do with iPads and computers in your own My Disney Experience app.

Activating a band on the guests end does not encode it to a room like a CM can when assisting guests. It just turns the access back on for that specific band.

(Sorry for extending the OT conversation here)

This is going to sound a little crazy and I even question my own sanity here as it seemed too good to be true, but on a trip several months ago on check-in day the "View MagicBand" icon on the resort screen took me to a totally new set of features that did allow me to do things like check bands and other typical CM band actions. I was like "oh wow, this is new and cool, I need to come back and screen shot this to post about it" but upon trying it again later in the trip could no longer get to the same options. I have no idea if some sort of test environment had accidentally been turned on or why I saw what I saw - but it would certainly be helpful for those of us with consistent band issues if it's something they ever do intend to roll out!

That would be great!

IIRC that icon usually redirects you to the website to manage bands, not even the app, right? Must be some hidden functionality. I wonder if the app the CMs use is secretly built on the same app and they just have expanded access and you somehow got into it 🤔

We just got back from a DVC 1-night stay at VGF over the weekend. On the day of check-in, I received the usual welcome e-mails. For the one that said our room was ready, there was a little blurb I never noticed before. It said to click here to make sure your Magic Bands were enabled to open the door. Because of my earlier experience with my MB not working at PIT a couple of months ago, I clicked on it. It then had me set my MB at the top of my iPhone, and it enabled the band. When I got to the room, it worked! Can't say for certain that this was the difference that made it work, but I was unaware of this function.

Actually was looking back just now and I did take a couple of screen shots at the time and the functionality was similar to what @Xalthon notes above. This was January, FWIW. I’ve been meaning to check this on subsequent trips this year to see if it’s a check in day thing or what but I’ve either not been able to replicate it or get distracted in the check in day travel chaos and forget to mess with it.

This page in the app said “Magic Band Room Access”…

And it took you to a page in the app that looked like this:
