We have a party of 8 and when I made my ADR's this morning all they had available for our party size were 2 tables of 4 (Le Cellier and Coral Reef). She said the reservations are linked together but I was wondering for those of you that have been split into two tables how good are they at putting you next to each other? I was wondering if it will be likely that we will be seated at opposite sides of the restaurant. (If we are at least we got into the restaurants!) Thanks in advance.

We're a party of seven and we've always (almost exclusively) had a reservation for two tables. We have been very lucky and have always been seated together (for all two weeks back in October)

We've never booked that many together until this year. We tried for 8 @ Chef Mickey's for weeks, couldn't get it, so finally we just decided to also take the 2 tables of 4. My sister kept calling back daily (several times a day) for a while and finally something came up. We did get one table of 8! I would keep calling, you never know what might come up. If it doesn't happen, as you said, at least you'll all be there. I would also make sure you get there well prior to your ADR time, that way if a party of 4 also came along, they would mostly likely do their best to give you tables close to one another.

We are a party of 9 in August and had the same problem at CP, WCC & LeCellier. They told me that had to reserve the 2 tables and try their best to accommodate us all together once we arrived. Kona & Chef Mickey's were available for a party of 9 together.

Hoping for the best, hope it works out well for everyone here :wizard:

You are more likely to get the two tables together (or even merged) if your reservation is for either the fist half hour after opening or the last half hour before closing.

In 2006 all but 1 of our 8 meals was listed as "party of 8- 2 tables of 4 each" but...we were not split up - ever. We did have to ask at sci fi, and waited maybe 8 extra minutes to get one car. At Coral Reef they didn't ask if we wanted to wait for one table...they just made us wait. It was almost an extra hour!!!

If you want to sit together tell them, if you don't want to risk an hour wait tell them that too. They were great to seat us together everywhere, but in the future I will ask about how long extra my wait would be...the extra hour made the experience a memorable one- but not in a good way!!!
