With having a party of 7, it definitely limits our choices. Our dates are not flexible either. The choices available are a 2 bedroom villa at SSR, OKW, Copper Creek Villas or Boulder Ridge. The kids range in age from 13-17, so not little. They might use the pool a little bit. Which resort/rooms do you like best?

I would do CCR or BRV if you are doing parks. It is closer to MK and Epcot even though it is a bus ride. If you think you will spend more time in the room and.or Disney Springs I would say OKW first then SSR. The balcony's at OKW are huge and really nice to relax on and watch the world pass by.

Copper Creek Villas or Boulder Ridge
Based on location I would vote for either of these since they same the same resort, the Wilderness Lodge.

The CCV units have been refreshed very recently (finished October 2025) but the exterior of the building is still being refreshed. BRV is right next door, and was last refreshed in 2023.

Note: From April 13 through late July 2026, the boat dock at Disney’s Wilderness Lodge will undergo routine maintenance. The dock will be closed and boat transportation temporarily suspended from April 13–May 1.

Will the kids be spending all their time with the adults or will they be off on their own some of the time? As a teen, being close to DS would have been my first choice, so I would agree that OKW then SSR would be my suggestion. I love WL/BRV/CCV, but I love it more as an adult who just wants to relax and enjoy resort time, not for trips where I spend a lot of time in the parks or at DS.

We will be there the last week in September, so we should be good to go. Thanks for the information!

They will be off on their own some of the time. They love the parks and DS. There is a boat from OKW to Magic Kingdom, correct?

No boat to MK from OKW, but there is a boat to DS.

OKW is bus only to parks, but I think there is a ton for kids that age to do around the resort.

Do they have a preference for a park; MK, HS, Epcot, or AK? How much time would they spend on their own at DS?
