Party of 6 using different dining discounts

We will be a party of 6 in early December dining at Yachtsman Steakhouse. My husband and I have TIW card and our DS is there on his CP and has a cast member special 40% discount but it is only good for 4 people. Has anyone had experience with splitting up checks and applying separate discounts? I would like to obviously take advantage of the 40% discount for 4 of us and then cover the remaining 2 using TIW.

Should be no problem. Just tell the CM who is on which check. The automatic gratuity will still be charged since there are 6 at the table, but separate checks happen all the time.

Tell the waiter/waitress before you order that you would like separate checks

Just be aware that the holder of the TIW card will be required to pay for those two meals. And your CM son may be required to pay for the four meals under his discount.

Your CM son will be required to pay for the four meals and show his badge. They are not allowed to accept payment from anyone other than the CM.
