Party of 6 FP?

I have seen a few posts on here about splitting up large parties. Like selecting a group of 3 for FP rides and then another group of 3-4, with larger groups. We will be a family of 6 and I am wondering if it is doable to just attempt, 6 FP at a time? Is this likely to be a problem at 60 days out for the major rides? I have never done FP on MDE before. I would prefer to make all the FP ressies myself as I am fine with getting up early to do it and understand this is the best chance for Tier 1's. The thing is I don't want to screw it up for my family.

We did party of 6 for all of our FP's during a New Year's Eve week trip (super busy). We had FPs for Slinky, Toy Story Midway Mania, 7 Dwarfs, Flight of Passage etc. No problems at all. I did have to use later in the week days to get the really hard ones.
Getting 4th FPs the day of, was impossible with 6. We split those up into parties of 2.

I have not had to split up our party of 8-10 who I book for, but I always put the most popular rides later in the trip for the best chances of being together.

For our upcoming trip I was booking for 8. I got us all together for everything. Flight of Passage at 60+3, SDMT at 60+4 and Slinky Dog at 60+5. These are all FP that are morning or early afternoon, too. We had many time options available on these days.

Also, as a PP mentioned - it can be harder to get additional same day FP together with a group that large so we do sometimes have to split up the group then. But, our group also naturally splits up at some points so some may book at 4th FP for one thing, others choose another ride.

6 is NOT a large party. You should have no more trouble getting FP for 6 as you would for 3. SDD, FOP & 7DMT will be problematic regardless of the size of your party on days 60-64, but after that, you won't have a problem at all.

If you can't get FP for 6, then and only then would I bother to break the team up into smaller groups. Don't waste time doing it if you don't have to. And you must likely won't.

Agreed, I first put in 6 FP, then if the time (7:30pm) is not what you want or the ride is not available then split up the group. If you have to split, as others have said make sure you get overlapping times (1-2 & 1:15-2:15). Then you can all ride together, you will just have to make sure you are in the window for all 6 the day of FP.

I always make FP and dining reservations for a party of 6 or 7. Never had a problem getting what we needed including SDD, 7DMT, and FOP.
