My TA helped us grab a CRT dinner reservation but unfortunately could not find a party of 5 but was able to get a party of 4 and a party of 1 for the exact same times. She said they would most likely just sit us together and she would keep looking for a reservation for a party of 5. Has anyone done this before? Will it be an issue? Do you think they would make us sit separately?

It's likely they'll be able to seat you together, but it's possible they'll make you sit separately. That wouldn't make me feel satisfied with my chances, so keep checking.

We did the exact same thing. I keep looking for table for 5 in the mean time. I figure that our seat for 1, will mostly likely be a table for 2, so worst come worst my husband and I can split up 2-3. Good luck in finding what you need.

Thanks! Good Luck to you too! Our worst case scenario we would put our 1 year old in one of our laps instead of having his own chair.

I'm in the same boat. One ressie for 4 and one for 1. If I cannot get a single ressie for 5, then we'll split 2 and 3.

Since you have one person in a high chair, I wouldn't even worry about it. They can combine your reservations into one once you arrive. They won't sit your 1 year old on your lap regardless, because under the fire code they need a seat for everyone in the restaurant.

I really hope so! Technically we have the reservations for the amount of people in our party. So fire code wise it should still be ok, accounting for space for all 5 of us in the restaurant.

We have had split reservations a handful of times.

We have never not all been seated at the same table.

I would keep looking for the 5, but more likely than not you are all set.
