I am going to CBR this October with my dh, dd, ds, db and his dw, 2 ds's and my dm and dd. My dd is treating us all for my dm's 60th b'day. (hope you can keep up with me) How hard will it be for us to make ADR for our party of 10? Wwill we all be able to sit together? We are all on the dining plan.

My other question is what is the difference between ADR and ps.

Many many thanks for all of your help, Maria

We're a party of 11 and had to make ressies with separate tables. However, some restaurants can accomodate.

CA Grill
Wolfgang Puck
Jiko
Citrico
Spoodles
Whispering Canyons

to name a few.

Restaurants that will have us split:

50's Prime Time
Sci Fi
Yachtsman
Flying Fish

hope that helps. :teeth:

We usually travel with large groups too, you may want to try the group dining # 1-407-939-7707. We haven't ever had any trouble being seated together, especially if you have your ADR's for "off peak" times of day. ADR is just another name for ps, the process hasn't changed, just now you can book 180 days out instead of 90. Hope you guys have a wonderful time and happy planning!

No difference between ADR/AR/PS. You can now make an Advance Reservation for dining 180 days out.

You should call Group dining and talk to them.

On our trip in October we had the 10 of us sit together at a large table at O'hanas. It was very comfortable, and since it's a one price deal it would probably be easier on your dd's wallet.

ETA: oops didn't see you're on the dining plan.

We had no problem with 10 people at either Chef Mickey's or 50's Prime
Time. We were seated together at both.

Thanks for sharing this info. I'm sooooo excited, I think I'll start planning my ADR's now. Maria :cheer2:

So far, we have not had a problem with our party of 10.

Some other options for you are almost any of the restaurants around the world showcase. Raglan road, Big River Brewery.

Make your reservations as far in advance as possible. If they tell you you may be seated at two tables, just take it, try to check in at the restaurant a bit early and they usually do everything they can to get you together.

You can also register as a Grand Gathering and possibly take one or more of the special event meals. Also, as a Grand Gathering Group sometimes it is easier to get the larger reservations.

We had no problems with family of 10 last May with our ADR's.

We registered as a Grand Gathering from the very beginning (party of 10), and I made all our ADR's through Grand Gatherings. We were either at the same table or at two tables VERY close together (might as well have been same one) every night.

Thanks for all your reply's. How do I register for grand gatherings and what is it?

Thanks again, maria :cheer2:

10 of us went in early December of 2004 and I don't think we were ever split for a meal. I did have to take a couple later dining times though and I was told when I made the ADR's that they might need to split us, but they never did. We ate at........

Crystal Palace
50's Prime Time Cafe
Cinderella's Royal Table at Grand Floridian
Chef Mickey's
Askerhaus in Norway
Rain Forest Cafe in DTD
O'Hana's at Polynesian

To register as a Grand Gathering (a group of 8 or more) all you have to do is mention it when you're making your resort reservations. If you've already done that, just call CRO back and let them know. They'll give you a Magical Gathering number. This will "link" everyone's reservations together, so that if you are staying at the same resort, they will put your rooms as close together as possible. It's also a way to track how many people you have in your group in case you want to do any of the special Grand Gatherings Experiences. If there are some in your group who haven't booked yet, just tell them the gathering number and they need to tell CRO when they book that they're with that gathering. For those who have already booked, all you have to do is tell CRO that you're the planner for the group and ask that they add the number to the reservations already made. Hope that helps!

We are going in June with 11, and I had no problem making adr's. I am not sure about how we will be seated but when I made the adr's they didn't say anything.
We have adr's at Chef Mickey's, LTT, CP, PSB, 50's, donald's breakfast, and sci fi. Although if they start the new hero meal at mgm, I am going to try and and into that for my three sons.

Glad to read this thread...for the first time, we are also going this time as a large group (10 people so far and possibly more). Happy to hear that we may all get to sit together at dinner.
