Party for the Senses Question

Is this definitely worth the money??? I have reservations for Party for the Senses, Sweet Sundays and the lunch with Iron Chef Cat Cora.

I am wondering if Party for the Senses is worth $125.00 (around that). We are not huge eaters or drinkers, and I wonder if we will really get our money's worth. We are not "pick at your food" eaters, just kind of average. Not the "can eat a whole pizza" type.

Party for the senses is always on our list of things to do at F&W fest. Only you can determine if it is worth the money to you, but you would have to attend one first to see. Hubby and I have always felt it was a good value, and every one we introduce to the party has felt the same. They say it is the one thing they would definately return to over and over again.

Many people attend who don't drink, just for the food. The food is sample sized. You can eat as much or as little as you like. You can run up a much bigger bill just trying the food around the world showcase.

Do you enjoy sampling the foods and wines from the Kiosks around World Showcase during the Festival? Party of the Senses is like a more upscale Kicked Up version of this, with samples from some of the great chefs around the World and wonderful complementary wines. When you add in the entertainment, it is really a very special event.

It is definitely pricey, but I consider it one of those special things we do a couple of times a year, like going to a concert or a sporting event. I figured out it costs me over $200 for 2 just to attend a Bruins game here in Boston by the time I purchase a couple of decent tickets, pay to park and throw in a couple of hotdogs and Sam Adams. It can be well over $300 to attend a big name concert. Given the choice, I would MUCH rather go to Party of the Senses! There is a reason that most of the reviews you see of the Party are highly complimentary!

Theres a great review of this year's party on the DIS home page. That might help.

Thanks for all the input. Yes, you're right. We LOVE tasting all the food around the Food and Wine Festival. It's our favorite festival. This year we finally have time to try some of the "extras" and I think I'm just going to keep my ressie.

And webray, that's such a cute answer also. That's what I always tell people when they ask about the restaurants. We've been so disappointed in the "biggies" and many times so "surprised" by the "hidden gems", that I always say you gotta try them first!!! So that's what we'll do. We'll be there for 9 days this time and it will be a nice "evening out" for DH and myself. Thanks again.

What's the attire for the POTS? I know that it can be either or, but what do you wear? Does anyone have any pics to post? We will be trying it for the first time this year. We are always looking to discover a new gem while we are there. Looking forward to this one. ;)

Very typically,

"While "resort casual" is the requested dress for this event, looking around, it ran the gamut from typical theme park attire to dressy. I can't say that one style was pre-dominant, it was a fairly even mix."

Check out Regina's review:

Although the price went up this year, I would say it's definitely worth it to the OP!

Have fun!
