Especially in recent years given the price increases? We're definitely going - will be there 10/27 - but I'd like to wait a few weeks (better cash flow) to purchase the tickets.

So has anyone ever wanted to go and not been able to? and haw far ahead did it sell out?

Can't wait for F&W!!

Anne

This is a good question - I'd like to hear the answer, too.

And also - are kids (say, a 2 1/2 year old) allowed as well or is it adults-only?

Kids are allowed, but at $135 PP that's a bit much to pay for a child's meal. You would have to pay for the child. We're actually taking DD (12) this year. She really enjoys trying food and loves Cirque du Soleil, so although she won't get the full $$'S worth (she'd have to abe able to drink for us to consider it a "good deal" for her) we figure she's ready. I have never seen any really young children there.

Party for the Sense is the BEST EVENT EVER. Sorry we are a little partial:cool1:

This is from Allears.net
Party for the Senses – Eat, Drink and Celebrate
Hosted by Vanity Fair
World ShowPlace

Feast on this tribute to the sensory arts! Begin your evening with a reserved seat at the Eat to the Beat concert series at the America Gardens Theatre. Following the show, World ShowPlace becomes the setting for an amazing evening showcasing the talents of more than 25 eminent chefs and over 70 wines and beers. Wander amongst various tasting stations in the midst of imaginative décor and awe-inspiring acts from Cirque du Soleil, La Nouba

My husband and I try and do two a year. If you love wine and love food this is a great event!

It usually doesn't sell out but we have seen it do so depending. So most likely you will be OK to wait. Just don't hunt me down if it does! :goodvibes

We have seen children at the event but there is A LOT of drinking and the food is NOT kid friendly to most childrens palate. It would be a parents call!

It holds about 350 people so unless it is a really popular night/guest chef you will probably be fine. I am waiting to book 11/3 till the end of September. You can always call and ask them how many spots are still left. I have only seen a child once at PFTS and he was around 10 and seemed to be having a good time. I have never seen a toddler there.

Every Saturday during the Food and Wine Festival!

I sooo want to do this on 9/29. But, no one in my party is willing to join my. Is this something I would enjoy at all by myself?

See if there are any other Dis-ers going on your night. I think a few threads are going about meets and holding tables.

Going to F&W 10/27-10/29 with DH for our 10th anniversary:hug: . No kids this trip:banana: will miss them:sad2: but will also get over it fast:rotfl2: . Want to go to Party for the Senses. IT IS SOLD OUT FOR 10/27  . Does anyone know if they do walk ups:scratchin ? Would really love to go someone please send me some good news pixiedust:. Thank You, Michele

They don't take walk ups. I'm amazed that everyone on these Boards in August was talking about how easy it would be to get in. It ALWAYS sells out! Some dates sell out from three days after the reservations are available.

Thanks I was up there two weeks ago for a quick weekend and I think on that night they where taking walk ups. Didn't go because we will be going on 10/27-10/29 the disney website reads as if you could get them at the Festival Welcome center. We will be at the Polynesian to bad they don't have tickets at the resort for the resort guests to buy. I guess may next year. Thanks mikesmom

Does anyone have photos from past Party for the senses and is it worth the money and sadness when you can't get tickets? This years entertainment is what I would love to see. DH has never gotten to see LaNouba I got to see with DS we always talk about it. Maybe they will be there next year.
