Party Day or Xmas Parade Filming Day MK

Right now we are planning on doing MK on Sunday 11/9 of our three day weekend. They are filming the Xmas parade that’s day and the 8th for the tv special. We could switch and do MK on Friday 11/7, but that is a party day and the park closes at 6pm.

What would you do? Risk the heavier crowds and congestion on Sunday, or go on Friday but have a shorter day? We will be buying LL.

I would do Sunday if they had LL in this case… even with the ABC related crowds. This is where LL would be worth it with an event like this.

Party day Friday as long as you are okay missing evening entertainment.

Party day if you don't mind missing fireworks. Crowds will be much lighter. Do you have park hoppers? You could hop somewhere when the park closes to non party guests. And potentially hop back just for fireworks another day, if you really want to see them.

I would suggest you just play it by ear since Sunday is just a backup to the main recording date of 11/8. Watch the weather for rain of clouds on Saturday. For reference last year they only needed the Saturday for recording the segments.
