I ran across a thread on another board that mentioned partner hotels. I wasn't aware that Universal had partner hotels. When I look at the website it states that if you stay at a partner hotel you are able to get early access to IOA. When I go to the website of any of these hotels, it does not mention this at all. Is there anything special I have to do to book a partner hotel and obtain the benefit of early entry? Thanks!!

You have to book a *package* through the Universal Orlando website. You can't go through the hotel's website, or book a room-only.

Staying at the Loews hotels onsite, you can book room-only and get benefits, even if you book directly through Loews. But NOT the partner hotels. Those require the package, through the Universal website.

It is still true, you just have to book it through the Universal Orlando website and get your tickets there as well as part of a package. There are great deals to be found.

We booked through Universal at a partner hotel and got a great deal. We stayed at the Holiday Inn at the entrance to Universal. It is actually walking distance to Universal. (But a long walk and you have to cross a very busy intersection)

Anyway - the hotel was very nice and there was a restaurant on site as well as a nice pool and a shuttle to Universal as well.

With our package we got early admission to IOA and a breakfast at the Three Broomsticks.

We opted to take a cab back our last evening and it was only $5.

If you were to book a one night stay package at a partner resort could you add days on to your tickets once you get there without having to book extra nights?

once you have a 4 day pass, you would probably need to go with a power pass if you needed a 5th park day ticket.

if you were only staying 2 nights with a package, and wanted to upgrade to a 3 day pass, i really don't know.

the park tickets you receive wouldn't be any different than other park passes.

guess you could check with guest services on adding on days.

Thanks for the quick reply. We would only be booking a one night package as we will be staying in a condo. I would want addition days for tickets thought as we would like to go back to Universal. I thought it would be nice to stay one night and get early admission into the parks.
