Hi... i just got back from WDW and i know we have some hopper days left and some plus days left....how can i find out exactly how many are left on each ticket? thanks

I believe you can only find out how many days are left by bringing them to a guest services window at WDW.

I also believe it can only be done at a guest services window at the parks. We always seem to have various tickets with days. Our last trip on our last day I went to guest services at MK and painstakingly had the CM go through each ticket and tell me how many days and how many pluses were left. then on a separate piece of paper, I would write the ticket number and what he told me. wouldn't you know it, I lost the paper! LOL! So now our first day I'll have to repeat the whole process again!

You can also find out at your resort front desk. They have access to that system as well :)

Rpsemont : That stinks... next time use a sharpie marker and write it on the ticket ;) ;) it won't mess the ticket up :earsgirl:

I remember they USED to tell you over the phone. Now they don't because they say their computers are not equipped to do so. I was shocked that Disney computers would go backwards in technology....then someone admitted it was so nobody would sell the extra days on ebay. I guess it is a problem for them?:confused3

First Beastlover I wanted to say I LOVE that picture. I have seen them setting that picture up on Main Street and have been told that they add Tinkerbell to it but I have never seen the finished product :)

Now on to the comment :) It used to be easy to check the ticket over the phone, it was just read the long number that starts with 0. But now there are so many tickets that are all different and you have to physically see it to be able to get the correct number. (Resort tickets are still the same, but if you purchased them at the Disney Store or Guest relations they are crazy) there are letters that need to be converted and then numbers that have to be transposed, to get an accurate reading you have to have the ticket in hand. I guess it is a safety so they are not sold elsewhere, but...I know for myself even when I have them in hand it still takes me a minute to figure out the actual number without having to try and have the person on the other end of the phone try and read it... :)

ooohh.....I see......obviously you are a CM!! Anyway, thanks for the explanation...makes sense!::yes::

Thanks! I love that pic of us, too!! Tink is just the cutest!!

Wow, thanks, For some reason I didn't think they did. We will arrive around 10PM. So that means can check it that evening and not have to scoot out to the park in the morning.

Never done this either, always tried to write with a pen or pencil and it never worked. I'll be sure to pick up a fine tipped sharpie before we go. Thanks

What about The Disney Store....you can buy tickets there, so can they let you know whats left on the tickets if you bring them there? I must mention that i didnt purchase them from a Disney Store though....thanks

I used a sharpie and wrote P P P P P P P ++++
on the back of our 7 day park hopper plusses. Each day we used a day and I marked thru a P (for park day) or a + (for + options). We had a group of 9 but all the passes belonged to us, so even if everyone didn't do the same things, I marked their ticket when they gave it back to me. It worked great!

Dsiney Store CMs have posted in the past that they don't have access to the computer that has that information.

I use the "P +" system, too. Best thing. Be sure to use a Sharpie, though; the ink will smear if you use a regular pen.

I used to use the separate sheet of paper thing, and I still do keep my photocopies in case the actual passes get lost, but marking the passes themselves is so much easier.

BTW, if you have a safe deposit box, be sure to take the time to go down and put your partially-used Hoppers in it when you return from your trip. They are absolutely safe there, and easy to find for next time.

I'm sure this is part of it. I think it's also that disney recognizes that the harder they make it for people to find out about unused days on hoppers the greater the chance that the extra days will not be used.

Even making it one percent less likely means millions of dollars. There was a report not too long ago -- perhaps in the wall street journal -- about the massive amounts of money that companies make from unused gift certificates. It's well into the billions and part of the business plan for companies like Pottery Barn and Williams and Sonoma, because it's "free" money. Disney is no different, and the profits from unused hoppers and disney dollars is a massive amount (although minor percentage) of their revenue.

The bottom line is that for those who faithfully keep track of their hoppers, it works to your advantage. If disney could not count heavily on people not using unused days on hoppers, it would raise the price of tickets for all of us or give the tickets expiration dates as they do at Disneyland.

I love the idea of writing Ps and pluses on the back of tickets.
