After our fabulous lunch at Cindy's, we headed back to the GF to see if our room was ready. I went to the front desk while Mom & Dad relaxed in the lobby.
The wonderful CM asked if I would like an upgrade with one King sized bed instead of two queens. I replied that would be wonderful, but I am "waiting for my prince to come and as I am traveling with my parents we need two queens". I politley asked him for our only room request on the reservation was to be in quiet area of the GF.
He smiled at me and said "let's see what I can do for you". He played with his computer for a awhile and changed what was our assigned standard room to a different room with a water view. He had to cut us new passes/ room keys. We were in Conch Key fourth floor.
We could view a small portion of the lagoon, most of the marina and the monorial line. We couldn't view the castle. The room had a large balcany, where my parents and I could sit comfortable. I can't say enough about how great the GF is. If you can swing it financially, go for it !!!!!!!!
We settled in our room then headed over to EPCOT for the first showing of the CP. We had the CP dinner package and we did not need to be in line as early as we did. I misjudged the time and thought we had 45 minutes to show time when we had 1 1/2 hour. There were still plenty of people in CP dinner package line ahead of us. I was slightly bummed because we could have seen the American Adventure, but when I realized it, it was too late to leave the growing line.
Our seats at the CP were the best in the house. The CP was outstanding. The choir, Voices of Liberty, the Orchestra was all phenonemal. The CP really puts you in the spirit of Christmas.
After the CP we headed over to Teppanyacki. The Teppan chief was OK. The meal was OK There were two other couples at the table with us and a vacant chair. After we had ordered one of the ladies asked the male host if she could remove the extra chair and give her more elbow room. The male host very abruptly, rudely, and loudly said "NO, LEAVE THERE".
Everyone at the table just kinda looked at eachother. My dad being who he is, pretended he didn't hear this and about ten minutes latter, picked up the chiar and moved it. He then winked at the lady and pointed to his hearing aid. She and her husband smiled back. This is the only restaurant out of many we visited that we will not return to.
Illuminations, as always was amazing.
Tomorrow we take Keys to the Kingdom Tour.
