It is entirely possible that I just bought a pin trading starter set. Ha! I'm not very outgoing, but it would be nice to have some physical memories of my WDW trips going forward, since I don't really buy many souvenirs.

Also, how have I never seen these shirts from Threadless before?

Nice!! I just checked and my flight down has gone up $50 and the return flight has gone up $76. :scared1: Glad I booked when I did!!!!

After reading your post, I had to see how much of an increase there's been since we booked our flights. We got our flight down for $131 and the return for $110. Round trip is now $189 each way! Boy am I glad we booked it when we did!

This is my 3000th post!! There's no other place on the Dis I would want it to be!!

Just counted and in 11 weeks from today, I will be watching my daughter get her first haircut at Harmony and then heading over to BoG for dinner and then MVMCP!!
:banana::banana::banana::banana::banana:

You made me count my weeks and guess what? 11 weeks from today we will be heading to BoG for dinner and then MVMCP.:banana:

Congratulations on your 3000th post. :thumbsup2

Possibly, huh? :lmao: I think pins would be a good souvenir. Easy to pack, not too pricey. I have heard people say they use the pins as push pins on a cork board.

Yay for 3000 posts!! :dance3:

That sounds like a magical day. :cloud9:

The Halloween stuff was over near the card section at our WalMart, all the Christmas stuff was in the Lawn & Garden section, hehe. My youngest was all about the trees that were up & lit! I'm definitely taking window clings if nothing else!

Doh! I did not think about that. I just wasnt even thinking they would be out yet. Will head over one day at lunch.

I did join Touring Plans, I am going Dec. 26-Jan 2nd!!!:scared1:

Do you need to pay to join to get the most out of that site? I'm not sure how involved I will get with the touring plans....although it is totally my nature to plan ever single minute of our trip. I'm trying really hard to keep this trip more relaxed!

Its $12. I joined but really only because it is fun to play with LOL. One thing I have found handy though - I do not 'plan' rides etc but with TP it allows me to work out what we are able to do realistically :)

DS10 is who I'm concerned about the most. He gained almost 10 lbs during the summer and I'm still trying to get him to lose it (he's in husky clothes and has been for a few years now). It's mostly from drinking too much 1/2 iced tea 1/2 lemonade drink mix. I've completely cut him off of the sugary drink mixes. He's been having V8 fusion (8oz per day), a little diet iced tea or diet soda and water. He's just got to be more active to help him lose all that extra weight. He'll get a lot of walking in at Disney, but we have to help him portion out his meals now that he's on the adult DDP. This is going to be interesting

:offtopic: When my son was in grade school he was on the heavier side. He hates looking back at those pictures because he says he had "man ****s". The pediatrician told me not to worry, that he would outgrow it. He still played sports throughout it all. It wasn't until the summer between 8th and 9th grade that he lost a ton of the weight. It wasn't that he grew that much taller. Now he's 20 years old, is 5'8" and the little twirp weights about 135! The pediatrician told me not to worry and she was right! I think eliminating the soft drinks is a really good start....and maybe encouraging more water than any other beverage. I know I'm counting on all that Disney walking to help me keep from gaining a ton of poundage :cool1:

If any of you booked through Southwest, you should see if the fares on your flights went down. I now have $190 Southwest credit because the prices of both of our flights went down since we purchased our tickets.

Ours are the same......which is kind of why I'm waiting a few more weeks.

I know, right?! I will just keep planning and tweaking the schedule and not talk to him about it. :rotfl2:

Some things are just best left unsaid ;) I think the planning is 50% of the trip. So you suppose they just think a perfect trip happens like magic? :wizard: Clearly we would have no sit down meals if I left it up to dh ;)

Just thought I'd point this out...

Has anyone noticed the date? We are exactly 3 months from Christmas. :santa:

Also, on the Decorated Windows thread, someone posted this:

"I work at Target and not only do we have lots of Halloween decorations out, we have the Christmas lights out too! (Including the Mickey head lights! As well as Cars, Toy Story and Princess snowflake strings)"

I can start getting my replacement strings.

So many lights......so few trees. :) I may have to check out the Princess snowflake strings. My dh already thinks I've lost my mind...why not make it irrefutable?

OMgosh.....you are right! 11 weeks from right now I will be in line anxiously awaiting character photos! This just now gave me butterflies in my stomach. I don't think my dh has any idea how awesome this trip is going to be. He's never been at Christmas-time.....I'm just hoping he'll "get it" while we are there so we can book a bounce back ;)

Congrats on your 3000th post! Wow......how exciting!

(Its not much off for a $12 subscription... but a dollar saved is a dollar earned towards WDW right? :thumbsup2)

their app is pretty cool... tracks all the times you could ever need.

Ok before I post a new thread about this I am going to ask you guys. Well mostly because you all rock!

So friends of ours have a 3 yo who is going to Disney - she has tree nut allergies and Disney can not guarantee a "safe" birthday cake. Does anyone know of anywhere near WDW that can do that? Maybe a baker that uses King Arthur Flour. Treats are so hard for her and if anyone has any suggestions you could help add some pixie dust on her vacation!

WOW congrats!! :cool1:

The good thing is the walking helps - I ate like they were about to issue a ban on food and I only gained 3lbs :teeth:

I always say the walking helps too. Would be interesting in getting one of those step counters to see how many miles are clocked.

Wow. Congrats! I have a few more to lose and it is so hard. How are you doing it? A special program or a good old fashioned eat- less move- more system?

I am following the 17 day diet (it's really 4 cycles of 17 days) I am not following it as close as I should though. It is pretty much common sense eating, but it does help you stay on track. I can PM a sample of my daily eating habbits if you like.

That's awesome! Congrats!!:cool1:

Thanks!!

Awesome job!! I know I'm semi scared for this trip! I'm trying to figure out how to squeeze in some workouts. I've lost 75lbs in the past year and right now my weight is all over the place. I just have a horrible sweet tooth!!

Thanks! Congrats to you!! I cheat like every weekend :rotfl: but then get right back on track Monday - Friday.

Congrats to both of you! I would love to lose 30 lbs again (last time was when I was pregnant with DS10). I've lost almost 20 lbs in 2 years, but gained a little back, lost it, then last April gained 4 lbs back and still have not lost it yet.

Our trip is in 2 months and I know I'm gonna gain a few pounds while we are away for 10 days. This is what I'm worried about - gaining everything back. I'm really gonna have to try and watch the amount of food I'm eating and drink a lot of water and unsweetened iced-tea.

DS10 is who I'm concerned about the most. He gained almost 10 lbs during the summer and I'm still trying to get him to lose it (he's in husky clothes and has been for a few years now). I hate how easy weight can come on but not come off. So frustrating! I cut pop out completely and only drink coffee, water and diet green tea. Lipton makes a diet green tea that is carbonated, so it makes me feel like I am still drinking pop which I love.

You could try Babycakes in DTD. They can't say they don't use nuts because of coconut & their flour is made on machines that package some nuts but it says they powerwash & discard in between batches. It can't hurt to look into them. It may not help, but you don't know unless you try!
