DH and I are planning a date night while in Disney. All the restaurants we wanted to dine at in Epcot are booked :/

What do you all think of Portobello in DTD?

Tonight is a great night ... As I sit here and type on my phone my final trip payment is processing on the computer!! I love seeing that zero balance along with my countdown. 68 days till we leave and 69 days until we check in. Yikes it will be here before we know it!! Time to start packing lists and to do lists.

I wish I'd be able to see it say zero balance. Since I booked through a TA, my online reservation doesn't show how much I have left to pay/when I've paid in full :/

Portobello was nice. We went for lunch last year. The food was good and no complaints!

I was talking to DH last night about changing the schedule now that it is just the two of us. He says I dont think we need a schedule now. We can just do what we want. :scared1: Umm honey, the crowds didnt just disappear because DB isnt going and we will still have ADRs and nighttime events I want to see. So then he says-"ok here's the plan-We go to DHS every morning and ride TSMM and Star Tours. Then we go play mini golf. Then we go to whichever park that we are eating at or seeing the nighttime stuff." So my planning is done, what do I do for the next 81 days? :lmao:
:rotfl:Your DH sounds like a hoot! At least he has input, and doesn't just say "whatever you think we should do, honey, I'll just show up" ...
Are the mini-golf courses at DisneyWorld really that great or is he just a mini-golf fan? Or somewhere in the middle.
Do you need to pay to join to get the most out of that site? I'm not sure how involved I will get with the touring plans....although it is totally my nature to plan ever single minute of our trip. I'm trying really hard to keep this trip more relaxed!
I'm wondering this too. I plan on buying it whenever I get around to upgrading my phone (an original Galaxy S) for the sake of the wait times app, but it'd be nice to know whether or not I should be spending a ton of time on it prior to the trip.
I bought my partner and I pearl cage carriage necklaces from eBay. I think it'll be nice to surprise her with picking a pearl.
Aww. That's so sweet.

Because I only get to log onto the DIS after work, I've been noticing that this thread is averaging 5 pages per day (that's how far back I have to go to read the posts I hadn't read the day before), although today was more like 7 .... at that rate you'll hit the 3rd version of this thread in about 40 days. ;)

Still no roll callers arriving on the 30th though!

I read great things about it, but we booked Raglan Road instead

I am getting one :teeth: Doing research at the moment - for instance, I have read a lot of reviews that say the New Balance ones are inaccurate so still making my choices.

Ooh if you get one we can compare mileage :teeth:

Yes a lot of the step counters don't work so well. At one point I had a few and noticed that the one that worked best was from McDonalds!

We booked Kouzzina for our only date night. Anyone else get a date night in and where??

Well our kids are adults now so they are staying home......we've waited 20 years for this trip so every night is date-night for us

We have two official date nights. California Grill and MVMCP. Hoping for a couple more but we will see how things pan out!

I agree with ksromack (kind of, our kids are 2 & 6). But we are kidless this trip so we are having a weeklong date. Our anniversary dinner is at Via Napoli for CP

Two years ago DH and I left the kids home for our trip. We had meals at Sanaa, Via Napoli, Yachtsman Steakhouse and Rose & Crown. All were great :-)

MNSSHP was our treat to ourselves - that was much fun too!

We've waited a long time to be able to have a child to take with us (5 years of TTC and infertility) so I'm GLAD we have no date nights this trip hehe :) BUT I am sad we can't go to Jelly Rolls. That place is awesome and we only just discovered it the trip we took a few months before we finally got pregnant. Oh well. Next trip we will have some friends with us and we've already discussed taking turns going there :)

Is anyone planning on trying Sorcerer's of the Magic Kingdom during their trip? If so, how have you scheduled that into your plans?

It sounds cool but I don't know how time consuming it will be. It's not a priority for us, but I'd like to fit a few portals in.

I want to take a try at that and agent p in Epcot. We will see how time works out :)

We are but more for the cards - we are a family of collectors, if it can be collected we'll collect it :rotfl:

Not sure how we will fit it in yet - I just figured on picking the cards up at Main Street when we enter then seeing if we can visit the portals as we pass them.

We've never been to Jellyrolls, what's it like? We loved walking DTD last year and listening to the outdoor musicians. Wonder if we should check Jellyrolls out.

Another question. Would it be off for two rather large kids (DH loves Phinneas & Ferb) to do the Agent P adventure. How long does it take?

Best thing about WDW... We can all be big kids!

He is a mini golf (and real golf) fan. We played at a course on I-4 last year and it was pretty bad, just not maintained at all. So I said this year we are playing a Disney course. And then somehow that morphed into buying the WP&M so we could play multiple times. It will be interesting to see how often we actually do it. I am guessing twice. :)
