PART TWO *December 2012 Roll Call* Holidays, FLE & MVMCP!! A very, merry thread!

I hope everyone's week is getting better. It seems like this thread has been having a rough couple of weeks. But...better to get it out of the way now, instead of having it happen while everyone is on vacation.

I had a rough week, too. I failed an anatomy + physiology lab test...first time I failed a test in my college career (both when I went through for my paramedic school, and now that I'm back in for nursing). But, strangely enough, I had the high grade in the class on the lecture test.

Random question: do the cabs at WDW take credit cards? I know cabs in some cities do, some don't. I think it's just about the only thing I might need cash for (I'm planning on putting everything else on my KTTW).

I saw a thread on TPAS talking about the amount of cash people carry, so I realized I hadn't thought about it yet (majority say they carry $20, but don't even use that much due to putting everything on their KTTW).

Aww sorry to hear that I'm wondering if you were maybe studying for Disney instead of studying for your test we all know how distracting Disney can be Congrats on the high grade

$20 cash is what we carry mainly for drinks, the rest is on gift cards etc. I don't like charging to my KTTW card, only because its too easy and I'm a spendamaniac in the World

Been MIA too since school started. Trying to get all my lesson plans ready until x-mas and working on my university classes (in the middle of a second b.a. Well actually my first one is a b.f.a. but oh well).

So anytime that's free I try to clean or sleep lol

Going in for my MRI tomorrow. Been reading up on scooter rentals and such incase I need one come Dec. Kinda bummed because this is now more expenses we were not counting on. Probably looking at around $200 more added to the vacay for the scooter rental and upgrading our car rental to full size to fit said scooter. I just am hoping that is it just the menscius and not a torn ACL as well.

Oh no!! So sorry about the test. Hopefully you do well on the rest of the semester to bring that grade up.

I dont know why I feel the need to respond to something that I have no personal knowledge of, but I do. I bet the cabs take credit cards. You would think they would be prepared for that since they deal with tourists all day long.

I saw that thread too and agree with it. We used all credit cards and gift cards last year and will use KTTW this year. Will probably each carry $20 just in case.

Still, I doubt I will be 100% by the time we go to Disney..... *whines* Might as well throw out all my beautiful plans. ( Okay, I am feeling like a sorry sap for myself. Things will be fine. I will probably have to take things at a slower pace and plans may have to change, but we will be in DIsney and it will be fun no matter what!!)

I just got off the phone booking POP for 12/8-12/12!! This will be our first on site stay and our first visit with all the holiday decorations!!

YAY!! I am staying at POP for our first onsite stay too! Should be fun! The holiday decorations everywhere are AMAZING!!!

@Wedgiesock--DH did not love the sneakers. I know, shocking. He said he wanted us to blend in with the crowd and not stand out. Which is typical for him, but hilarious to me when I think about the shirt I wore to MK last year. You will see it when it is my turn on post #3. Definitely did not blend in.

Your 3 sentence biography: Born and raised in the burbs of Philadelphia. Currently working as a Case Manager RN at the Children's Hospital of Philadelphia. Lover of everything Disney.

I'm a Philly burbs kid too.. Over the bridge on the Jersey side. I work right in center city now though. I'll be there the 8-16th with my girlfriend so if you're looking to meet up with anyone for a few drinks let me know. (I'll probably be watching eagles games at ESPN Zone... Assuming they are worth watching at that point).

How you might be able to find me while at Disney: (i.e. Resting in a hammock at CSR, tipsy at WS in EPCOT, 'that couple' in matching outfits, inquiring about the time of the 3 o'clock parade) Tipsy? More like stumbling at WS in EPCOT.

My girlfriend and I will be doing this on the 14th... We have ADRs at Le Cellier to start it off at 1:35. But then we'll just be wandering around. If you're interested we could make it a team competition

I just wanted to update, we're on the roll call for December 9 but we're now going to be at Boardwalk Villas instead of BLT. I'm really excited to try this resort.

Also, DH said last night that he is actually excited about going this year which is a big thing in our household. He said its because we are going at Christmastime again and because its just the four of us this time. We had my mom and my niece with us last year.

So I'm getting more excited by the day. We haven't been in December since 2008 and I'm really looking forward to it. But I'm jealous of everyone that's going this fall for F&W and MNSSHP which is what we have done the last few years and I love that too. DH has already said he wants to do December again next year. I told him that would be okay if he would go down for a long weekend in the fall at least for F&W festival.

I told him you said your family wouldn't lose you. And he said, not even if they wanted to. I am still thinking about the shoes. The problem is, I do wear sneakers a lot on the weekends and I am not sure I am brave enough to wear those anywhere but WDW. But for $30, I could consider getting them just for the trip. He did approve the other ones on that page--the black with the hot pink trim.
