We're going! I love that movie :) When it first came out my DD (3 I think) watched it over and over. We went to our local grocery store and there were these cool little signs that said 'looking for Nemo? Follow us' and you had to hunt around the store for the signs. When my daughter saw it she was so excited, hunting down the signs with its pretty Nemo pictures, clapping everytime she found one. It was really fun, the anticipation ... we came to the end and found a huge colourful cutout. We had found Nemo!! There was a huge arrow .... pointing at .... the fish counter!!!!

I kid you not. My daughter cried. I think about it now and its hilarious :rotfl:

That's aweful and hilarious at the same time. :rotfl2:

That's exactly what I was thinking! I mean, who at the grocery store thought that was a good idea? LOL

Has anyone seen (or is anyone planning to go see) Finding Nemo in 3D? I'm planning on going Thursday evening...hopefully my schoolwork will cooperate with me.
I really want to go, but DS5 isn't excited about it when I asked him, and neither is DH. I can indulge myself when I'm on the Pixar cruise in 3 weeks since its included in the fare, apparently every Pixar movie will be played including the shorts, on the big screen.:hyper:
Can't see spending $13.50 for a movie in 3D that only I want to see here at home. Nemo is still my favorite Disney movie though ... when it came out I had a friend that worked for LucasArts so he invited me to see it at the Lucas Ranch, then we went and saw it in the theaters about 4 more times that summer we loved it so.

That's a fantastic story. I wonder if the person who came up with that promotion had seen the movie or had any concept of its plot?

I am surprised by how small the menu is. I do love cornish game hens though.

I felt the same way. I was impressed when the chef gave that interview, less impressed when I saw the actual dinner menu.

You can take me off the list - due to other pressing matters we are having to cancel our trip :(

The thing about Nemo 3D that appeals to me is that since Nemo was computer animated originally, they can add 3D much easier than something animated by hand (Lion King) or something shot with film but not with 3D cameras originally (The Avengers). And, the 3D that they add to Nemo should appear to be much more natural, since they aren't manipulating images post-production (they're rerendering the whole movie).

The best analogy I can think of: think of a recipe that doesn't come out right...you can try and add seasoning after the meal is cooked (but still doesn't always come out as if it was seasoned correctly from the start), or you can start over and make it again from scratch.

Ok that makes sense I guess. Thanks for the explanation. :thumbsup2

I just snagged a 1:30 reservation for Le Cellier on 12/12/12. I had a 2:25 reservation but it was too close to my BOG dinner......

....so the good news is there should be a 2:25 Le Cellier opening for 2 on 12/12/12

Yay for an extra hour to get hungry!! LOL

Yahoo! I didn't realize that I made it to the double digit dance! 96 days to go! I have been passing the time helping others plan for their trip. 3 friends are there now, so my text messages have helped me relive my own trip:):cool1:

Panic mode :scared: I'm 81 days out, all plans locked in so now all I have to do is stare and stare and state at my plans. No tweaking left.

But now I'm looking and I want to change everything! Suddenly, if I switch this, swap that it will be better. Must. Step. Away.

Tell me this is a great plan (lie if you have to) :rotfl2:

7th arrive around noon. Explore resort (POR RR's) hop on ferry to DTD to shop and snack. 5pm head to Epcot. 5.45pm Via Napoli 8.15 CP 9.30 Illuminations head to FW and spend EMH there.

8th MK day - 8.10am CRT reservation, hit Fantastyland before big crowds get there. 4.25pm Be Our Guest 6.15 (approx) Castle lights up Electric Parade & Wishes.

9th HS day EMH night - 12.30 50's Prime Time Cafe Fantasmic 6.30 (hoping they add a second one, if so then I'll tweak) 7.50pm Hollywood Brown Derby

10th Epcot day - finish off FW and the concentrate on WS. 12.30 Biergarten 6.20pm Rose & Crown

11th MK day - Early go to GF to see Gingerbread House, then follow on to MK. 12.30pm Liberty Tree Tavern 4.55pm Crystal Palace ***Christmas Party!!!***

12th AK day - Tuskers 1pm Leave AK at closing head to DTD 6pm T-Rex and build a dinosaur yay! La Nouba 9pm

13th - home *blows raspberry* :(

I think it looks fine and matches our touring style - long but slow-paced days.

Hows it look - you can be honest really :p

Yay!!! That gives me hope one may come up for around 12 for 3 of us on the same day.

I feel the same way about aquariums that have seafood restaurants attached to them. I can only imagine what the fish are thinking:

"I guess Skippy didn't do the routines right yesterday. He's now part of the fish n chips combo platter."

@Tofubeast

Your link for historical park hours in December on TP says that MSEP is twice some nights. Typically, what are the times of both parades? Do you know?

Looks good to me. We have a VERY similar 1st 3 days. The only difference is our MK/MGM days are filp flopped (and our MVMCP is on the 9th). But we check into the POR on the 7th with RGR too and that is also our CP night and are looking forward to having EMH after the Illuminations.

Speaking of CP on the 7th, I know WDWinfo has put Blair Underwood in for the 5th-7th (which I am excited for), but the official site and allears still have it as "TBA". I'm starting to get a little antsy about putting my faith that he will be the narrator. Am I being paranoid? PLEASE someone say I'm being paranoid... :crazy2:

You are being paranoid. :lmao: Isnt the official site always the last one to update??

Happy Monday everyone!

Over the weekend I managed to book some ADR's we really wanted. Remember, I only just got this trip about a week ago and we're 75 days out - for the planner in me this is too long away because EVERY SINGLE DAY I will look at the schedule and over analyze ALL. OF. IT.

We booked Liberty Tree Tavern for dinner on 12/3 @ 7:50. This was our fave meal of the trip back in June. Yes, I know - it's not gourmet by any means but I loved basically all of it. It was comfort food to the max!

Also, I'd been stuck on where to book with our dinner Candlelight package. Our options were Coral Reef, Nine Dragons or San Angel. Looked again over the weekend and found Via Napoli so instantly booked it. Coral Reef was our original choice but the cost combined with the mixed reviews wasn't doing it for me. I've heard great things about Via Napoli so I'm much better now. :thumbsup2

I'm hoping to convince manfriend we need to do Kona Cafe for breakfast. He's not a big breakfast person but I LOVE all breakfast - all the time. Only problem is its at the Poly and too close to O'hana...

We did O'hana back in June and no one in my party liked it like I thought they would. I think I had talked it up so much based on reviews I'd read that it left us flat. Parts of the meal were enjoyed - like the noodles and wings but the majority of the meal was too different for their liking... remember though these were teenagers and pre-teens - zero appreciation. :confused3

anyway... back to the list of food!

QS places I'm hoping to try this time around:
Pecos Bill's at MK
Restaurantosaurus (sp?) at AK
Kringla Bakery at Epcot

and still missing one for DHS...

any ideas?

I'm sad we won't get Mickey Mail this trip... we're staying at the Hilton at DTD so no ME or luggage tags for us... but we get EMH and transportation to the parks - still a win
