I will! You came up with great combos - really wonderful ideas. Makes me all :goodvibes

Aww, thanks! Hope you will stop by my PTR and say :wave2:

That sounds like so much fun!! I need to go read your PTR later

Thank you! We have such a great time with these. Stop by my PTR and say :wave2:

Wow!! Great meals! We did brats and apple/onion sauerkraut, soft pretzels and apple pie, for Snow White. Then movie night turned into pizza, popcorn and a treat. Just not enough time right now. :D

They are a bit time consuming, but I try to come up with ideas based on stuff I might already make and then just switch it up some or add a "cutesy" name to it. I got lots of great ideas off the web, including an awesome thread here on Dis. If I wasnt a stay at home mom, I dont know that we would be doing 2-3 of these a month. We have fun, but its really more about the family bonding time. :)

What an awesome idea, I'm going to have to borrow this one!

I got a lot of the great ideas from a thread here on the Dis, others I have come up with on my own. Definately feel free to borrow the ideas and I hope you have as much fun with them as we have. We are going to continue to do them even after this trip is over.

Good morning!

Is everybody doing 'stuff'?

I just got up  didn't go to bed til 3am so I have a VERY big cup of coffee :teeth:

Debra- I have seen that thread- it has great ideas! I only work 15 hrs a week but my husbands work schedule is insane. However like you said it's more about bonding which is why I'm sticking to pizza - however I am hoping to start at least making one themed treat. :)

Wedgiesock- yep! Lots of stuff but not so much fun stuff.... Installing flooring and hoping my husband fixes the dishwasher. :( I sweat my house knows I want to sell it and is being vengeful!!

On a side note I found a Evil Queen Apron and oven mitt from 06 that my mom got me on a trip to WDW - pretty excited about it since my 3 year old is LOVING Halloween- and what is Halloween with out a Disney Villian or two!!!

Okay has anyone seen the mini fondant cakes you can get at WDW? Well my husband and I are planning date nights and I have an ADR at California Grill at 9:40 during wishes.... Idea - get a mini cake to celebrate anniversary/being together because since having kids we have been unable to do so. Also, we didn't have a wedding cake at our wedding (small gathering at Niagara Falls and everyone picked their own dinner and dessert at the inn afterwards) Good surprise or not?

I think it's a great idea! It'll make for a super special evening.

Isn't that always the way! A bit like in our family - either the dishwasher, washing machine, cooker etc will die right before Christmas!

My 'stuff' today has consisted of going to Party City for balloons (couldn't preorder them due to the helium shortage so the line was LOnG), picking up cupcakes an presents. Now we wait for the party to start. My baby boy will be 6 tomorrow. Where does the time go. I'm giving his his birthday pin from our last WDW trip to school tomorrow.

Disney cakes are amazing, you should totally go for it. For our anniversary one year we got a full Disney cake and it was stunning. Most overpriced cake I've eaten but worth every penny.

Okay, planning question. On the 3rd we're planing on an Epcot morning and lunch at Chefs de France, then heading back to BLT for a nap before heading to MK to take advantage of the evening EMH. If we want to catch the Electrical Light Parade at 7p, what time do we need to snag a spot by/head into the MK/send the DHs to reserve a spot (assuming there's no FP+ testing, which would be awesome but unlikely).

Thats good stuff to be doing! Happy Birthday to your boy and Happy "Birth" day to you too :goodvibes

Posted on my PTR a little review of shoes for Disney in case you are interested. Can't blame you if you are not. :rotfl2:

I am ALWAYS interested in shoes but I've bought mine already. They are shocking pink and I am in love with them. Found a really nice cross-body bag in matching shocking pink aswell ... my family will never lose me, even if they want to :rotfl:

I am about to make some really easy peasy hair clips for Disney and will post pics when I'm done. Super easy, super cheap & super fun :teeth:

I'm gonna read your shoe piece anyway cuz I love shoes ... and sparkly stuff

I love that idea. This trip is really my 50th belated birthday but our 12th anniversary is dec 29th. Since we leave Orlando on the 17th, this will be our anniversary celebration too. We dine at Cali Grill on the 16th but I'm afraid we'll be too full for a cake :(

I saw that sale on Keens, and now I really wish I had grabbed them! Those Mary Janes are super cute! I bought a pair of Crocs sandals on sale last month. I wore them to work Friday, and they were comfy. I usually think that tennis shoes are uncomfortable to wear all day, but I wore them to Busch Gardens today and did fine, so I guess they're coming with me to WDW!

Beautiful cake! Tell me again how to order one? Also, is there anywhere to get Cinderella's slipper dessert besides CRT?

I'm all about reading about good shoes...esp for the cooler months! I'm off to read.

I agree with previous posters - this sounds like a wonderful surprise.

I'm planning a similar surprise for my sister since we'll be celebrating her birthday while we're there. My plans are to have it delivered for dessert at our Be Our Guest ADR. I've been stalking the cake thread for weeks, getting tips and ideas. Just need to come up with a design. I'd love for it to be Mulan-themed since that's my sister's favorite Disney movie.

woooooo i get to go in 89 days! i'll be in orlando/florida/disney from dec 21 - january 12!

dec 21 - 26 in the swan
