I have the opportunity to get a part time job in F&B. I was hoping to move my way up from there. But I'm wondering which route would be the best way to go. Part time employment or College program? Does anyone have any thoughts or experience on this?

Thank you!

Part time is always a much better option. You won't get the university credit, but you also won't be worked at their whims. You'll be able to control your schedule and have first dibs on any full-time spots that open up. And can always drop down to seasonal if you're moving away from the area. But as a CP you can't always move to seasonal, and aren't guaranteed a position afterward.

Also you'll be eligible for transfers to other departments, have more benefits as well as pay. CP is great if you're not already in the Orlando area, but if you are there isn't really any benefit. Unless you're a student at Rosen and need the internship credit.
