Hi Rho! So excited that its your first trip .... OMG, you're gonna love it!

:woohoo:

There was a good article on John Taylor in People a couple of weeks ago - he was my fav :goodvibes I actually went to school with his first wife, Amanda, we hung out a few times she was very wild so it was no surprise to us when she hooked up with him :rotfl:

Oh .... and btw everyone .... I GOT MY MICKEY MAIL TODAY :cool1:

Thanks! I think I will, I mean I'm nothing but a large kid!

I had the biggest crush on Simon Lebon as a teen (and Andrew McCarthy, who I finally met about a month ago)

Squee!!!! If you got Mickey mail maybe mine will be here too!!! :yay::cheer2:

We are staying at Shades of Green - we've stayed there on 2 previous trips, and we've stayed twice at the Contemporary. My husband and I honeymooned at WDW & then we took 3 trips in 6 years when our girls were much younger. We finally have the money to take another trip and we're so excited to experience it all again with teenagers!!!

We are doing a 4 day park hopper, one day in each park, and 1 day with Harry Potter.

Our musts are just to have fun - honestly, we have no expectations except to ride each ride we want to at least once. We are not looking for dining experiences, so I've read reviews of counter service restaurants and hopefully we'll be fed and happy. We'd like to catch a few shows as we go too.

We're from MN, so any Florida weather should be warmer than us...fingers crossed!!

I have loved reading here & reading about everyones dates, plans, etc. I'll be spending quite a bit of time here in the next month and a half, I'm sure!!! ;)

:offtopic: Went to WW today. We didnt have a meeting last week, so for 2 weeks I lost 3.4 pounds. Total for 5 weeks is 10.6 pounds. :cool1::cool1:
That's fabulous. :thumbsup2

Congrats!!! That is so awesome!! I have never done WW but hear it is an excellent program especially from the support standpoints. Great job! Speaking of working out with DD1 not feeling so great I haven't exercised this week... So got on the treadmill and did 6.25 miles... I'm exhausted!! But if I keep it up for 4 days I will hit my 25 mile a week goal!

And I am so excited to say I am going to Disney THIS MONTH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
My sis loves WW so much she now works for them setting up corporate programs. Which is a great incentive to keep off the weight, because I think they can put her on leave if she gains it back! Of course, she's great advertising for them, too.
Just got an email that my new Disney Visa is on its way. And my Disney Store order that I placed on Monday is on its way and will be here on Friday. That was quick!!!! They must love me there. :rotfl2:
I'm sure they are VERY nice to one of their best customers. :) CC companies can be real stinkers but if they like you, they will go to great lengths to keep you. Once I got into a tiff with Delta and Amex regarding my Skymiles account and ended up with 20,000 free miles. Now, when you get that card, hurry up and make sure it works okay. You never know. ;)

And, totally unrelated but kind of Disney-ish-

I just saw Bambi's daddy in my back yard, swinging his antlers and looking very annoyed. I hope all the little bucks steer clear of that bad boy today.

That sounds like an awesome trip - our trip last year was a 'go with the flow' trip and it was amazing. Any trip to Disney is amazing!

I read a really cool report in the Dining Reviews about a family that did QS and never once ate a burger - there are so many great places to eat at Disney.

Happy Thursday all! I have had a busy day so far, but I think I'm all caught up now!

Exactly 4 weeks from today, at this time, I will have already landed at MCO, taken DME to POP Century, checked in and should be in AK by now!:cheer2::woohoo: Now, to get done everything I need to still do before then!!! :scared1:

Same here! DS has a project for school where he has to do his own time line and pick one picture from each year. So we all went onto two computers and pulled up the Disney photos from 2006. You know it's very hard to pick just ONE photo from our last Disney trip from when DS was 4. They're all good! Looking at those pics again was really getting me excited for our trip this month! Can't believe it's this month already!

Ok, I'm so jealous on both these counts! While I like all of the band members, Simon has always been my fave

We haven't had mail for 2 days until today. I was hoping our Mickey Mail was in there, but not yet. This is driving me !

How far in advance are we supposed to get our Mickey Mail? Do you still get it if it's a room-only reservation? Last time we went, I traded a week at our condo for OKW, and the exchange company never sent us anything.

I am sure you will be all well fed with QS dining :) DH and my first trip we didn't have any sit down meals and still had a great time.

What are your dates? I am from Minnesota as well and am staying 12/1 - 12/8.

Guess what was in my mail today!! That is some awesome customer service. Less than 24 hours for my new cc. :thumbsup2

I read that dining report too.
DH and I did all QS last year. The flexibility is really nice. This year I wanted to try some TS, so we will see how it goes.

So, I can't find my wallet... ;) Seriously at the grocery store getting ready to pay and poof it's gone! So I hope it's in the other car or on the table at home. Thankfully I had my checkbook :) however at my moment of weakness I thought of you Valgoof!!!

Also on a none Disney but travel related issue- my daughter used a public potty! It wasn't automatic but we gave her the post it's to make the toilet a "no flush" and I told her Mickey thinks she's awesome and is going to send her something later ;) it took two tries and is helping putting me at ease!!

Oh no!! Hope you find yours.

Yay!! With Mickey and post it notes, you can take on the world. :goodvibes

Wanna help me with my touring plan since DH won't let me subscribe to Touring Plans?

Here is what I was thinking for AK (it doesn't match up with the Unofficial Guide, which is why I need your opinion. As a recap, our dates are 12/8-12/14. AK is our first day. Asterisks mark must-do's.

We have an 8:20 ADR for Tusker House
It would make the most sense to go on the safari, since we'll be right next to it. DH can run for EE FP while I am settling the bill at TH.
Then I was pretty much going to go clockwise around the park:
Pangani Forest
Planet Watch train (depending on EE FP return time)
Do the stuff at Planet Watch*
Flights of Wonder *
Maharajah Jungle Trek
EE if FP hasn't been used yet*
Snack at ice cream cart
Finding Nemo*
Boneyard
Primeval Whirl for DS, Triceratops Spin for DD and niece
CS lunch
Camp Minnie Mickey*
FotLK*

If we decided to take a break for lunch back at the house instead of in the park, we would probably go after Finding Nemo, then start in Camp Minnie Mickey when we return and then head toward Dinoland.
We will not be doing Dinosaur or It's Tough to Be a Bug.

You know you're a Disney fanatic when you are going to go see Wreck It Ralph at the midnight showing tonight, despite the fact that you have to get up at 7am tomorrow for work! :happytv:
