Oooh!!! We love those who haven't told the kids yet! Adds to the excitment. You do realise from now on its how do WE tell the kids, not how do YOU tell the kids

So, in 2011 I decided nothing would keep us from going in 2012, which prompted the beginning of that thread a year ago but, under very different circumstances. I had been dating a new guy for about 6 months and was still planning on a 2012 for just the girls and I. BUT...the year has been full of ups and downs...the biggest one being that DBF and his DS have moved in...we have a LONG list of things we are looking so forward to doing together...but, decided that starting with a family trip...as a family of 6...would be our first priority! It was supposed to be a surprize but, he is so excited that HE is the one who had to spill the beans last night! I love that he is so excited and I am so exited to start the planning!!!

I know, big state, right?I have 31 items in my shopping cart at the Disney Store but will probably end up buying less than half of them. It just makes me feel happy to see them there (I think those Tinkerbell pjs would look better under my pillow, though)!

I had my appointment on tuesday. I HAD to get my color (was starting to look like a skunk). I went a couple shades lighter over the summer so I returned to my natural color this time.....and boy does it look dark!I should have gotten a more stylish cut but I opted for just getting 2 inches cut off the ends and a few long layers, like I had previously. I wish I had style.
I already warned hubby we were getting the PP+ and that we would be stopping for photos at many icons during our trip. He's used to it and knows how important photos are to me. He'll roll his eyes and pretend he hates it but truthfully, he doesn't mind. I've gotten pretty good at the "self portraits" but they aren't the most flattering so he'll be happy to have some pictures where his head doesn't take up the entire frame.
I like to think of it as "supporting".....not "enabling".
We're at 41 days.....and if I let myself do it, I could tend to go into panic mode. I still need to tie-dye my shirts, make my wreath, figure out my tree, and visualize christmas decorations. I really want a santa mickey and minnie too........and a million other things at the disney store. Oh, and I still have to get my house in order and get it all decorated too!I won't do that until Thanksgiving weekend...but shoot, then we're at less than 2 weeks!
I think your dad wanted YOU to pay for the meal.

Thank you! So happy to permanently be here. Yes, that was probably me! I have been a single mom for almost 4 years and had HOPED beyond hope that nothing would get in the way of trip for my girls and I in 2011...and that didn't happen.

Tonight is our family movie night and DH actually wants to plan some of our Dec trip!! Woo!
