Both the rain and the wind are picking up. We're in the back of the building and kind of sheltered, but looking around the wind is getting there. FDR drive is closed in places, which isn't far from us. Not looking forward to getting hit by the worst of it.

WALK radio is already reporting some downed trees, flooding and some street signs down over in both Nassau and Suffolk counties. We're in Suffolk county. There are also 21,000 Long Island residents without power. Thankfully, we're not one of them and I hope we won't be.

DH and I have noticed that there has been a pressure change within the last hour b/c both of us started getting headaches and my sinuses are feeling the pressure Not good.

There was someone who posted their excel spreadsheet (might have been on either Part 1 or 2 of this thread) for others to use if they wanted. So I used that and tailored it to us. Our whole itinerary is now on that including our confirmations numbers for ADRs. Makes it so much easier.

I'll probably start printing out our Mousekeeping envelopes as early as next week. I still have to buy the envelopes yet to put into our printer.

Ohhh..I need to look for that. That would be soo helpful to me I think. What are mousekeeping envelopes?? thanks

Apparently the storm is a hybrid hurricane-nor'easter now. Meaning that by Tuesday ( when we have no power) we could see snow. Seriously, snow from a tropical storm?!!?

Off to run my errands.

When we were in West Virginia a few days ago the weather man said the mountains of West Virginia could get 2' of snow! We were happy to get the heck outa there!

I've got a smallish spreadsheet too - park hours, any ADR info with Conf #'s, and then times for shows like Wishes, Fantasmic, etc... I'm also loading my iphone with tons of info for the different parks like different QS places for at each park, snacks and then also a shopping list for things I HAVE to bring back... I don't want to bust out the paper list when we're there, so much easier just to bring it up on the phone.

We have a shared Google calendar for that. We put in the ADR and in the notes put the Conf#s. We both have that synched to our phones.

I put the spreadsheets in Dropbox so we can share them. I also did one of DDP approved snacks from that thread. This way we can see them in the parks. I did sign up for Touring Plans and installed that app.

I make a lot of lists in the Notes App in my iPhone. I'll do that for things I HAVE to bring back. Like the shampoo from Basin and gingerbread for a friend.

Like the idea of the attraction list and marking what you want to do. I just assume DH will follow me. There are a couple rides, I know he won't ride like EE and RnRC. But he knows he is going to wait for me to ride.

The dining spreadsheet is a great idea too, so you know for your next trip. I plan to save receipts, but that always seems to last the first 2 days for me.

DBF will just follow me. He won't go on EE or RnRC either. But he may wait in the queue with me and take the chicken exit or he might just hit the gift shops. He already agreed to hold my Vera Bradley backpack..

But this is as much his vacation as it is mine, so I'll make sure we will do things we both want. We made our ADRs together (except CRT that was all me!).

We'll have a laptop with us so it'll be easy enough to edit the spreadsheet at the end of each day. Or even in an app on his Droid.

I used to be an event planner. I tend to over plan everything.

I've started noticing the pressure difference too. DBF's parents are in Nassau County. Thankfully they are pretty much inland, if they need to get out they can go to his grandmothers who lives on the 3rd floor in an elevated area anyway.

I just worry about us all losing power for an extended period.

Mousekeeping envelopes are envelopes with a Disney design on it that you leave with your tip for housekeeping (or Mousekeeping in this case). You can print them out from the www.themouseforless.com web site. Once there, click on Downloads. It's under the sub-heading "For Your Trip".

We are staying at the Drury Inn and suites. There are 4 of us. Me,hubby,and our sons age 17 and 9.

I LOVE DRURY!!! I was hoping to book at least one day there during our trip for the early admission they give for Universal!

There are a bunch of people on here that are staying at POR. A lot of them have stayed there before too. I havent been there, but those Royal rooms look so cool!! I think that is a good upgrade because your week is Pop Warner and they stay at the All Star resorts. And you can take the boat to DTD.

Ok I have a car rental reservation with Enterprise right now, one for a full size and one for a premium. The difference is about 40-50 dollars. What is everyone's thought on the difference in car class?

Didn't I just say last week to keep me off Disney Store online?! Today is free shipping. And if you spend $25, you get a cute Mickey and Minnie ornament for $10. Better safe than sorry is good. I'd much rather be safe than see something terrible happen.

We have had a few "earthquakes" around here... We had one originate in our town and it was like a 3 and I was home alone with a newborn. It scared the junk out of me- my husband wasn't home and I think he thought it was some post partum delusions! Thankfully I've never experienced a real earthquake and just a few shakes and shutters (one just a week or two ago) the worst part is it just catching you off guard.

I sent my travel agent an email, letting her know that Abby and I had dropped 1900 Park Fare and replaced it with California Grill for our Monday dinner. She replied that she liked the idea, but really liked 1900 Park Fare - she said she thinks it's one of the best meals on site.

She recommended dropping 'Ohana and replacing it with 1900 Park Fare, because 1900 Park Fare is a "can't miss". I've never heard anyone else say that...thoughts?

Is Ohana breakfast or dinner? I'd it was dinner I would not drop it....but that's just me. I the Cali Grill is a smart move if you ask me!
