Didn't I just say last week to keep me off Disney Store online?! :scared1: Today is free shipping. And if you spend $25, you get a cute Mickey and Minnie ornament for $10. I have two cute M&M shirts in my bag for 2 for $30. I currently only have one shirt with M&M both on it. I need to add days to my trip so I can justify buying more shirts. I swear I dont shop like this normally!!!

NOOOOOOOO!!!!!!! Don't do it!!!!! Think of all the shirts AT WDW you won't be able to take home with you if you keep buying shirts now - and they will have way more and way cuter ornaments at WDW too. You've got less than 50 days to wait for your trip - YOU CAN HOLD OUT ON DISNEY SHOPPING UNTIL THEN!!!!!! :rotfl:

Doing a HUGE happy dance!!!!

I had a brainstorm today that since we have to book our Westie at doggy daycare till Saturday anyway...we might as well just come back on Saturday vs. late Friday afternoon. Since we have a DVC studio we are renting, we couldn't add a day (too much hassle plus prob no availability), so we decided to just go with a value for a night. Found me a Little Mermaid room at AoA!!! :cool1::cool1::cool1::cool1::cool1:

Super excited that we get to check out this new resort, and hopefully enjoy the Nemo pool! Now I have a wide open night to book an ADR!! hmmmm

I kick myself for not booking 6 nights back in January, so now we get 6 nights. yay yay yay!

Woot! Score.

Hello Dis-ers. Can I ask you to keep my hubby in your thoughts and prayers. He is a truck driver. He has to deliver a load from southern NJ to Mass tonight into tomorrow. We aren't expected to get the worst of the storm tomorrow night so HOPEFULLY he'll be home before that happens. But if there is a tractor trailer ban he could get stuck out during the worst of the storm. Crossing my fingers and praying he gets home safe. Thanks for your positive thoughts and prayers.

I hope he's safe and sound with you now! :grouphug:

My ticker FINALLY says ONE MONTH! :cool1:  :woohoo:
OMG that sounds SUPER close now. It really is! Wow! This makes it all the more real!

I tried searching for Disney outletswhile we're driving home from Ohio. Where are all the Disney outlets? We're driving up to Chicago on Friday.......

Gurnee Mills

Disney Store Outlet

6170 West Grand Avenue
Suite 563
GURNEE, IL 60031
Phone: (847) 856-8233
Distance: 39.38 miles

It looks pretty far north - however go to disneystore.com and do a location search and the outlets show up in orange!:surfweb:

Do you guys right stuff down? Do touring plans on websites? How do you keep track of everything once you start planning? I plan to follow easywdw for their crowd plan/schedule.

I use a spreadsheet for my schedules, ADRs, etc. I use Touring Plans personalized plans for the parks. I keep everything stored in Evernote. But Im pretty much an uber-planner among planners. ;)

Perhaps we can start a new thread for Shopaholics. After I saw someone's comment about Old Navy having a cute Mikey shirt and 25% off, I got on there and ordered 2 Minnie shirts for my dd's (and a couple of sweaters for myself) and now I have several things in my cart at the Disney store. I am leaving them in my cart for now and see if I still really want them in a couple of hours!

Do any of you know whether there is a new suggested touring plan for MK now that FLE is in soft-opening?

How is it in NYC? Right now we just have the winds and rain, which is probably what you have as well. A few of DH's friends from high school are already going out by the water and taking pictures to post on FB. One of them actually rode her bike down to the water, which is about a 15 minute bike ride since she only lives a few doors down from us. Someone else went down to Smithpoint beach and posted a video on DH's FB page. Right now there is no beach.

I was up till about 1/1:30 last night making sure the last of the laundry and dishes were done before going to bed. Didn't want to be in the situation where we had no clothes or dishes should the power go out. Which thankfully, we still have.

Oh, and DS10 made pancakes for us this morning and coffee for DH. I think this is the first time he did it without any supervision. Usually DS and I do it together.

I wish my DS10 would make pancakes. We had a big breakfast too, while we still can. I've been finishing up dishes this morning. I had a sink full if dirty dishes during the last outage. (No power = no water.) Yuck. Hoping to squeeze in another load of laundry but I think I used all the hot water.

Wind is definitely picking up. We're supposed to get the worst starting around 6pm.

I have a .pdf I created via power point. I will print one hard copy and mail the other to my phone. I want to get a little coupon holder thingamajig to hold boarding passes and hard copy of my car rental reservation. I have a folder in my apple email for all my electronic copies of ADR's and room reservations. I really need to update my .pdf and then I could potentially post it!

When we were in West Virginia a few days ago the weather man said the mountains of West Virginia could get 2' of snow! We were happy to get the heck outa there!

Yeah, they're saying we could see flurries here but no accumulation.

The last thing I want with the power out and no heat is freezing temps. I wonder if all this water will freeze?

I've got a smallish spreadsheet too - park hours, any ADR info with Conf #'s, and then times for shows like Wishes, Fantasmic, etc... I'm also loading my iphone with tons of info for the different parks like different QS places for at each park, snacks and then also a shopping list for things I HAVE to bring back... I don't want to bust out the paper list when we're there, so much easier just to bring it up on the phone.

I use notes on my iPhone to list park hours, ADRs, parade times, etc. I save the TA calendar in iBooks, and I bookmark pages in safari with things like Robo's maps in case I need to get to them quickly.

I still have 7 pages to read (serves me right for doing housework ... boring *yawns* ) but just a quick message for SAT887 before I do the school run ....

How about telling your daughter that Mickey (or whoever her favourite character is) has heard she is now using 'big' toilets and they are proud .... maybe send her a letter from them before you go, and when you're there, the day she uses a big toilet, sneak a gift in your room for her to 'find' from the Disney character of your choice.

If someone else has already said this then cool - that someone else has awesome ideas aswell :rotfl:

Reading through some of these planning posts, doesn't make me feel so crazy for planning out each day now. My parents think I am nuts for saying oh we are going go here for dinner on this day and so on. ;) The last trip we argued about where we would eat, why go through all that again. :confused3

Yes :(
I have family & friends all along the coast from Cape May up to Asbury Park. Have seen pics of the huge waves, street flooding and pieces of the boardwalk floating away. And the center of the storm is still pretty far south off VA. I'm still crossing my fingers it changes direction and goes out to sea. Otherwise it's going to be a long night for many people.

Hello all! I hope everyone else who is in the path of Sandy is staying safe! It is pretty windy now and raining harder, but the worst isn't expected here until 5-6pm, and will last about 12 hours. Winds of 60 mph, gusts up to 110 mph possible, and extremely heavy, flash-flood causing, rains. I'm safe and sound inside now, and don't have any reason to leave until Wednesday!

I'm even heavy one extra cat. Actually, a 4 week old kitten! :goodvibes A woman found him in a box in her apartment complex late last night, and no one knew where he came from. She can't keep him (absolutely no pets of any type allowed there) so she took him to the local vet this morning to ask if they knew where she could take him. They happen to be my vet and know I foster, so they called. Picked him up around 10:30am and decided his name is Hurricane! :lmao: He is sweet as can be, not afraid of the dog or other cats, though he is being kept separated from them for now since he is itty bitty (fits in my hand) and needs kitten food only. Here is a pic of him!

He has a slight limp in his front right leg that the vet thinks is just a minor pulled muscle, but otherwise seems completely healthy. And he is eating great already. So glad he was found and is not out in this horrible weather!

Stay safe everyone on the East Coast, and everyone else, happy Monday to you!

That's a good idea. We have this little talks when I sit her on the toilet at home. We don't have a potty around the house and I try to tell her the toilet at home is just like going out... But maybe if it recieved the Mickey/Princess seal of approval.....

Last year the boardwalk near my sisters house got completly washed away from Irene... I really want this storm to calm down....
