Update on new hairstyle ....

So, after a few mornings of doing it myself I can say that, with a bit of styling gel my hair looks like it did when the hairdresser did it; it takes 3 minutes to blow dry (no brush needed) and 1 minute with the flat irons for the bangs.

Best hair ever :cool1:

Oh and did I tell you I was going to Disney? :dance3:

You are so lucky. i can't imagine doing my hair so quickly because a)it is so curly and getting worse as I age and 2)I have a lot of it so I have to straighten it in layers with a clip. Florida is:earsgirl: a complete joke for me because it just frizzes. I'll be wearing a cap thank-you-very-much!:earsgirl:

So I opened an envelope from my mortgage company this week and the envelope contained a check. My property taxes had dropped and apparently they had withheld to much for escrow. So not only did my mortgage payment go down by $100/ month. But I have a check for $1900 that I was not expecting. That makes the trip budget a lot less tight. :)

Holy cow! Congrats! Did you husband tell you that it doesn't go into the Disney account or did you tell him about it? ;)

That is so incredibly awesome!!!!!! It's like Disney Magic before you even get to the parks :dance3:

Umm.......the general consensus on this board seems to be that working while at work is NOT an excuse to stay off the roll call :rotfl: Indeed some people merely use work as an excuse to stay on on roll call for 8 hours straight every day. :rolleyes1

Hahaha!

Wow, didn't hear that. It was in the 90's here last week, cold now and it's suppose to be 87 by the weekend, what the heck! I would imagine you will be having rain? I think there is a good amount of snow in Tahoe?

Nice to see someone else from Cali. :cool1:

Rained all day yesterday for the first time which means snow in Tahoe. Also up to 80 again by this weekend. Which means everyone gets sick with the weather change!

I know - before it took anywhere from 40mins to an hour depending on whether it wanted to co-operate or not.

What are you having done tonight?

Mine currently takes 30 minutes just to blow dry, so I'm having at least 4 or 5 inches hacked off the ends. I let my bangs grow out over the past year, so now I've got one chunk of hair that's down to my chin while the rest goes down past my shoulders, which looks really weird, so I'm hoping she can layer that in so it doesn't look odd anymore. If not, then the bangs are coming back! Other than that, my stylist can decide what she wants to do. I've been going to this gal for over 10 years and I trust her!

Okay I finally made it to the end of the posts, for now. :grouphug:

We are staying in Marriott Harbour Lake timeshare. I read somewhere that we probably won't need the front of the line passes, because we will be going the first week of December.

The Harry Potter area will most likely be crowded. My DS read all the books, he's a self proclaimed nerd and IOA is the big deal for him, this trip. I've already told him I know there are rides DH and I will not be going on and he's good with going on his own. Of course we will stand in line with him.

I will ride everything at Disney, but I don't like the rides that could hurt my poor ole neck. :rotfl:

Gotta go, have a great day everyone! pixiedust:

I got DH's stomach bug. WAH. Thank goodness for Zofran. Staying home today. If you see me on here later, remind me to keep hydrated! :thumbsup2

Sorry to hear about the stomach bug. Hope you recover quickly :goodvibes

I saw on your trip report that you have an Elf on the Shelf. We had one for our DGD (named Elfie) when she was 2 and she has loved him ever since - she is now 10 and I don't know if she will believe this year or not. We had so much fun with Elfie playing tricks every night until Christmas. One morning he had lined up all her stuffed animals and they were all watching a Disney video with popcorn spilled all over. My favorite: He painted DH's toes with bright red polish. :lmao: Have you seen this thread for Elfie tricks: http://blossombunkhouse.com/2011/11/08/101-elf-on-the-shelf-ideas-2/. We used a lot of these - also DH built a special sized door so Elfie could come and go as he pleased. So much fun! By the way your DD is adorable.

Guilty.. :guilty: I've planned almost all of my ADRs while at work..

If we're being completely honest, I booked my whole vacation package, my air, my rental car and about 1/2 of my ADRs while at work, oh, and the travel insurance.

It's our slow time of year, I have my own office, and the powers that be pretty much think I work magic and have no actual concept of the amount of time anything I do actually takes me. Mind you, I don't exactly do anything do dissuade them of this notion. Job security's a good thing, right? :rotfl2:

We've never done MVMCP, but we did do MNSSHP last year, and this time we don't really care about rides. We did the fireworks and then the later parade on Main Street, which worked really well.:thumbsup2 My main goal is to meet Belle in her Christmas dress. If we can catch the Celebrate the Season show, that's cool too. Mostly we plan to enjoy the atmosphere and possibly meet some other characters.:santa:

Belle is my second priority, after the 7 Dwarfs. I actually got pictures with my camera with her in her Christmas dress, with Beast, at MVMCP in 2010, then accidentally deleted them :( That's actually part of the reason I'm definitely doing PP this year, no worries about deleted pics!

Can't get better than that! I love escrow checks!

Friends of mine went to IOA for HP in July (needless to say it was busy). They said everyone mobbed the HP area first thing in the morning and throughout the early afternoon, but that by 2 hours before park closing the HP area was totally deserted and they walked onto the ride 3 times in a row. Since everyone else in the park had seen it first thing in the morning when it cleared out the land was deserted. You might focus on riding everything ELSE in the morning (and the Spiderman ride is FANTASTIC) and heading to HP later in the day.

We went in Oct. 2010 when HP hadn't been open very long. If you do not like thrill rides the Universal parks are kind of a bust. If you're Pooh sized AND a ride wimp, they are almost a waste of money. Sissy and I enjoyed our day at IOA, but until we go back to Orlando with our parents (who LOVE HP) we won't be going back there. On the other hand, my BIL and my nieces and nephew LOVE thrill rides and they actually liked Universal better than WDW.

This is me too! My whole office is just me (very small company), so I can do whatever I want when its slow, like now. The owners of the company actually each have their own full time job outside of owning this company, and 2 kids, so they only stop in one hour a week, to sign paychecks and checks for bills that need to be paid that week. I do everything else to run the company pretty much. The other 3 employees are strictly on the road/at clients houses at all times (it's an in-home pet sitting company). So my whole trip is booked at work, DIS at work, work on my trip binder at work, etc :goodvibes

I practially planned my whole wedding at work 13 years ago when I had a State job and a boss who barely gave me any work even when I asked for projects. I also spent a lot of time on a wedding message board.

Online check in is convenient. Our room was always ready on arrival.

We went through a TA this time. Can we do online check in and if so how do we do it (besides the obvious of online)?

Do be careful with the sealants. They are great, but what my dentist didn't tell my Mom when I was a kid and had them done was that over time they break down and crack. Food gets in the cracks, you can't brush the food out, and that leads to lots of little cavities. So when I was in my mid-20s all of a sudden I had to go in and have the remaining sealant ground off and 6 (small) cavities filled when I had previously never had a cavity in my life thanks to said sealants. NOT fun.

Moral of the story, just be sure to remind DS once he's in college to ask how the sealants are holding up when he's at the dentist.

I'll have DH check on that when they go back for a follow-up. DH and DS have another appointment on the 28th.

Holy cow this thread moves fast! I'm gonna go try and catch up

It sure does! I'm wondering what are we going to do once everyone's had their vacations and the December 2012 Roll Call thread is no more

:rotfl2: Anyone else think of Crush when reading that?

Mine doesn't take too long either. I've got shoulder length hair with a body wave. After washing it, I wrap my hair in a towel for about a 1/2 hour for it to soak up most of the water. Then afterwards add mousse and partially dry it with the hairdryer for less than 5 minutes.

Very small! Too bad we aren't all going the same week. I hope you have a great time! DH and I are hooked :)

Happy 1, 1, 1 day

Thank you! I arranged the CP w/dinner & Illuminations, both never seen. :yay:

Do they have the Osbourne lights at HS every night?

Also do you think my son 12, a tween would like Mickey's Very Merry Christmas Party? I wasn't sure about this?

Again, thank you so much for the help! :littleangel:

Whether your tween son would like the dance parties or the shows or not... He will LOVE the short lines for Pirates of the Carribean, Haunted Mansion and the mountains.
