So I had my little panic attack a couple of weeks ago because Disney was looming and I was feeling a little overwhelmed with all the plans.

Now I am super excited, everything is paid off and I can't wait to try Port Orleans Riverside. They've just finished a complete refurb of the whole property and we're staying in one of the new Royal Guest Rooms .... excited about the fireworks on the headboard!

Ok, I'm thinking of checking out Sears/Kmart, Target and JCPenny for luggage. I've already checked Kohls but they're kinda pricey and Walmart whose selection is very limited. Can anyone think of any other stores for me to look in? I don't want to order online b/c I want to see it personally rather than just a picture. I also don't want to pay an arm and a leg for it either (ex. Samonsite).

Tuesday Mornings, or maybe biglots.

This Summer... In a WORLD full of snakes... ONE man has said "ENOUGH!"...

Samuel L. Jackson stars in: Snakes On A Plane 2: Snakes In My Room

"Hello... Front desk. How may I help you?"

"I'M TIRED OF THESE MICKEY HUGGIN' SNAKES IN MY MINNIE HUGGIN' ROOM!!!!"

This time... He's wearing mouse ears.

:rotfl: :rotfl:

Anyone besides me realize the FLE GO is exactly 7 weeks from today?? I'll be there!! :cool1:

DD and I along with my mom and dad went to get apples at an orchard about an hour away... it was fun and my DD ate two whole apples.

After that we did some shopping and it anyone has a Tuesday Mornings near them the one we went to had a ton of Disney dishes and mugs some were even clearance kitchen ones. I got a mug that I love!! Its Mickey and has saying all over it! If you want a picture I can take one tomorrow.

Hi Everyone! Checking in :) (Joined DISboards a while back but only taking the time now to actually start using it!)

Here's the lowdown on our group/plans so far:
- 6 adults (My in-laws, my husband, my cousin & her husband who are flying in from Australia). Everyone but myself and my cousin's husband has been to WDW before.
- My in-laws, my husband & I have a 5-day park hopper. My cousin & her husband only have a 2-day park hopper.
- We will be staying off-site. At a friend's place 15 minutes from WDW. We have a rental car throughout our stay.
- We will be in Orlando a total of 8 days & have accounted for 3 rest days in between all the WDW happiness :)
- We haven't planned many ADR's. We've got a Cape May Cafe reservation for Christmas Eve breakfast. Trail's End for Christmas Day Lunch. My cousin's husband is a huge Miami Heat fan so we want to be at the ESPN Sports Bar for the Heat vs. Thunder game. And our final ADR is at the Marrakesh for 12/27 Dinner. My husband and I want to do a dinner by ourselves at some point - not sure where to go & who knows if reservations are even available anymore :)
- I am very much a PLANNER but have failed when it comes to WDW. I have a lot of catching up to do and this board is helping A LOT. So THANK YOU!

I guess that's all to say for now. It's so exciting to read all about YOUR plans. I love reading the TR's and getting some really valuable tips from them. I have found planning to be rather overwhelming but then I read the TR's and I realize that it's all do-able and you just have to put things into perspective.

Looking forward to eventually sharing my own tips & tricks one day.

Welcome :cheer2:

Planning WDW can be a bit overwhelming - my first time I didn't do that much planning but it wasn't a problem as we still had an awesome time. But, I got the Disney bug and now I'm hooked and the planning part is really just an excuse to live the Disney Vacation for as long as possible :teeth:

Post #2 has some great tips thanks to our Tofubeast - shes the bomb!

Excited for you ... its your FIRST TRIP :woohoo:

Do you have Ross and Marshalls? We always get luggage their marked down.

Edited to say that I saw all the replys with the same advice.

I recently discovered the sleep in rollers for my hair and I LOVE them! my looks like I spent a fair amount if time on it when I actually just woke up! LOL =) I plan to look good @ Disney in order to replace my fat pictures from last year. I'm going to each my 100 lbs lost and maybe a few extra since I was there last December! Woo hoo!!!!

Welcome!

Thanks everyone for the compliments, you're so sweet :goodvibes I actually get excited when I do bold stuff like this. We had a lot of fun in the salon and the way I see it, hair grows back or you can 'fix' it ..... or get a wig (which I nearly did the other day). This style will be super easy to keep (my hair is very wavy and hard to manage and it was taking 45mins to dry & flatten) I don't have to use a brush, just blow dry it all forward with my fingers for 5 mins, then use the flat irons on the front, 2 strokes each side so a total of about 8 ins - perfect for Disney!

I love that haircut too! I've had my hair on the longer side for a while now.......with the exception of the two times I donated 12" to Locks of Love (within the past 10 years). The last time I donated I got a haircut very similar to the one you pictured. I did like it and hubby never says anything one way or the other......but the last time I threatened to cut it he did let it slip that he likes it longer.....It's actually less work for me since there's no style whatsoever.

Ugh, hate being sick, now I'm so behind on our thread.:crazy2:

Anyway, quick question. Since losing 20lbs my wonderful DH decided he wanted me to get some leggings. So, I got a pair, they actually look pretty good! Got a cute Disney top to go with, now, shoes....

Besides the normal tennis shoes a lot of people wear, which don't look right with leggings, what other kinds of shoes do ladies wear in the parks? I never pay attention to that kind of thing. I had picked out a pair of the Crocs loafer type canvas shoes but they are too big & don't come any smaller. Any advice?

I love me some Birkenstocks, which also happen to look super cute with leggings! They're just not always easy on the wallet. I have multiple pairs, but my current favourites are these (lovingly referred to as "toe thongs" by my brother) Gizeh style:

They have many styles and they are comfortable too!

I actually bought from ebags but we got the 3 piece set in champagne. It looks like it's $179 for a 20", 24", and 28" and all pieces have TSA locks. I have never been happier with luggage ever. It's very nice.

I just ordered these two pairs of shoes. Not sure if socks will work at all so it kind of defeated the purpose of having shoes to keep my feet warmer in case it got chilly. I got the grey ones today and I love them......very comfy but not as much arch support as I would like:

Then I ordered these black ones and I think they will be good to wear in case I needed something a little less "tennis shoe-y"

Oops, the Wishes viewing from the Ferry spot (TTC) was recommended on touringplans, not easywdw. Here's the info. Music is piped in!

Awesome I needed to know where to watch MVMCP fireworks
