I find the menus on disneyworld.com to be accurate, more so than I would expect (they show the "Mexican" menu)! I'm a little wary of allears lately on all aspects-I booked WL based on the photos, and then found out the next day that they had changed the decor in August.

Disney's site generally takes a month or so to update. AllEars sometimes updates quickly; other stuff doesn't but at least they put the date. Pretty much all TS restaurants get a menu change before and after the summer season. So if a menu wasn't posted in the last month, it's probably not up to date. Josh has been doing a lot of menu pics lately too.

A nap or Coffee should do the trick!

Good morning all! I'm off to work. Hubby and I are eating at Mike Shannon's restaurant tonight. He's our Cardinal's radio broadcaster. His restaurant is right across the street from the stadium so we plan to watch the game there and enjoy the pre-game crowd and pep rally.

Happy Thursday!

Happy Thursday!

That sounds like a lot of fun! I wanna come :woohoo:

Hi everyone. We are booked at CSR from 12/14-12/20 celebrating my moms birthday/my college graduation/christmas.
There are 3 adults going and we had decided to do MVMCP, but I'm having second thoughts about spending $200 on it. I know we can get on quite a few rides and the parade is awesome but are those 2 things worth the ***t? Any advice would be great!
I can't wait to get there, this is our 1st time at christmas and when it won't be 100 degrees outside!

When you put it like that, it doesn't sound worth it at all. But, imo, its not about being able to grab a few rides without wait-times and a parade. Its about so much more ..... the atmosphere, the incredibly beautiful parade that will make me feel all warm and fuzzy, the snow on Main Street, tons of characters everywhere, the special Christmas version of Wishes ..... I love Christmas and this is only going to enhance my holidays this year.

There are 5 f us. Thats a lot of money but I couldn't miss it. Further down the line I decided to drop our Park hoppers which paid for our MVMCP tix.

It really is a personal decision and being a tight budget will possibly dictate whether you do the party or not, but if you can, I recommend it. You are creating a memory :goodvibes

Nevermind...I'm too exhausted to think straight let alone post on DIS this morning:scared:

That's how I felt last night. Woke up this morning sick. Not serious - just achy, congestion, miserable enough to stay in bed and take a sick day. Hoping later I'll feel well enough to be productive.

Hope you feel better.

I'll think you'll find its our posts that come off with a different vibe, we're the ones counting on it :lmao:

Aww you ok hun? Good morning :)

Good morning :)

First of all, thank you to everyone who was concerned for me and sent me well wishes...I truly appreciate it:goodvibes

I'm much better now! It's jut that when my Dh is away, I don't sleep well at all and then to top it off I'm usually up way too early. This morning I was wide awake (after a couple of hours of tossing and turning) before 5am. I did eventually decide to catch a nap between 6 and 8am, which has made me feel a lot better!!!

And now that I've had some time to think about it, I'm kind of excited about dinner at POR on the 25th. We have stayed at POR before and love it there (especially the boat ride) so I'm thinking we can head to DTD in the afternoon, then take the boat to Boatwright's for dinner, take the boatride back to DTD (IF we have time) and from there take the bus to either Polynesian or Grand Floridian or we could always take the bus to MK from POR and then take the monorail. The buses do go from DTD to these resorts, right?

Now I do have a quick question...watching the Electrical Water Pageant and Wishes from Poly or Grand Floridian...which one is a better choice?

Hope everyone has a great day today!!!

TLTORREZ - I really hope you feel better!!!

I agree.
We also dropped hopping for the first time for this trip. With our plan we don't really need it. So that savings paid for our party tix also

DH & I went to MNSSHP a couple years ago and loved it! We didn't visit any characters, but the parade, Hallowishes and short ride lines were great. For MVMCP we are looking forward to the parade, fireworks, special shows and hitting some rides. Which characters we see depends on what DD would like to do

:rotfl:This cracked me up. Some people can just plan last minute like that and be totally happy with the trip they end up with. There's a thread on the DVC boards about spontaneous trips, and for people who go all the time, its apparently enjoyable, but for someone who has only gone for conferences before? Wow. I'd love to hear what they end up doing if they do go with a under-2-month-DisneyWorld plan.

I'm in the under-2-Month-DisneyWorld Plan. I haven't been to WDW since 1983. Just started planning last week and we have 52 days left until we leave. So far I have ADRs at CRT (breakfast), Le Cellier (Dinner) and TTDD. I may need one more for breakfast at Kona. I might check out BOG for QS at lunch.

In all I'm happy with what we have. We're staying at BWI. We may try a couple other table service places but as walk-ins. That said, it's just BF and I. No kids. It's probably easier that way. No little one to try to keep happy.

My DisneyStore order shipped last night so I'm excited over that and I'm going to Target on Saturday to do some pre-trip shopping!

I also dropped a hint last night that I'd love the Royal Highness package while we are at CRT. :rolleyes1:blush:

I love watching EWP and Wishes from the Poly beach. But I haven't tried from the GF in a long time. I think EWP would be good from either. For Wishes the view over the castle would be best from the Poly beach; at GF I'm thinking you'd want to be at the dock not on the beach if I'm thinking correctly of the layout of the buildings

We've done a couple "booked and planned in less than 2 months" trips. One was DH & I. We had a general plan same as always and a few ADRs ( Sanaa, Yachtsman, R&C, Via Napoli, HoB). DH, DD & I also did our last trip booked only a couple weeks out - during spring break even. Had ADRs at LC (lunch), CP dinner, RFC @AK. Both were fun and not planned any differently than others where we've known a year or more out about the trip :goodvibes: The main difference was not booking ADRs at 180 days

Thank you so much for the advice! I really want the best possible view of Wishes so I'm leaning towards the Poly beach!

I'm sure I've missed some pages. I'm trying my best to keep up.

WedgieSock, I saw a hot pink furry vest at TJMaxx yesterday. I thought it would add to your ensemble nicely. :teeth:

I just checked at Disney's site and they finally have updated Kona's menu. The menu changed back in either August or September, but Disney Dining didn't know anything about it when I called to verify the change. It took them a while to catch up. I really wish that the restaurants would give Disney Dining a "heads-up" when they are looking at changing the menu. Once it's been finalized, then give it to the dining department with an effective date so the website can be updated. That makes much better sense than the way they are doing it now (more like common sense, IMO).

I think Allears is updated when someone contacts them with an upated menu change for a restaurant, but I could be wrong on that.

If I wear all this I'm gonna look like a hairball brought up by a cat that just drank a bottle of pepto bismol :rotfl:

OMG!! So true!
LOL!! :lmao:

Ok so I ordered luggage from Walmart last week and it was supposed to arrive today or tomorrow.

Val, how is the quality of the luggage you ordered and which ones did you order? I went to Walmart and wasn't too happy with how thin the luggage was as as well as the lack of choices. We need to get two medium size suitcases for our trip but I don't want to pay in the $200+ range for each one.

Aint it the truth!!! :rotfl2:

Well, I'm home again today. I finally am over my illness, and went back to work yesterday. Picked up the kiddos from after school - and have a sick 7 year old. I knew when I saw her she felt bad. And yep, fever. So we are curled up on the couch. Fortunately for her, the kids are out of school today and tomorrow for Fall break. I wanted to take a road trip to the coast to check out the Disney Outlet, but I guess thats out now. :(

So maybe I can keep up with the thread today. :lmao:

Morning all! :coffee:

So, opinions, if you please. Our last night I want to do La Nouba. Planning on going to MK that day. I'm trying to decide between the 6:00 or the 9:00 show. It's not something I can change once I commit, so I'm nervous!

6:00
Pros: Could conceivably catch one last round of fireworks at the TTC if we haul once the show is over.
Cons: Less time at MK, dinner would be late and possibly rushed.

9:00
Pros: Can stay at MK right up to MVMCP starts if we want, or could get some shopping in at DTD. Dinner would be more leisurely.
Cons: Might be uber sleepy, no chance for one more round of fireworks.

Whaddya all think?

And I can't ask Mom, because this is supposed to be a surprise addition to the trip.
