KONA - what is this I read about the menu being changed??? Can someone point me in the right direction to get more info on this? I have 2 breakfast ADR's here as well as a dinner ADR.

okay, I have found the thread with a picture of the new dinner menu and I am NOT happy at all

The one item on the menu that my Dh would be interested in has been taken off the menu

We have an ADR here for Christmas Day dinner with plans to sit on the beach afterwards and watch the Electrical Water Pageant and Wishes.

Now I don't know what to do???

I check for them and snakes I have read two threads on here where people found snakes in their room in one of them it was in their bed. Yikes!

In general, I think snakes are more likely (but still not very common) in ground floor rooms. If this is a problem, just request an upper floor room.

I wasn't going to make a room request at POFQ but now maybe I will!
I will never hear the end of it from my parents for convincing them to stay at a resort with outside corridors if they end up with a snake in the room!

Hi everyone. We are booked at CSR from 12/14-12/20 celebrating my moms birthday/my college graduation/christmas.
There are 3 adults going and we had decided to do MVMCP, but I'm having second thoughts about spending $200 on it. I know we can get on quite a few rides and the parade is awesome but are those 2 things worth the cost? Any advice would be great!
I can't wait to get there, this is our 1st time at christmas and when it won't be 100 degrees outside!

The one thread was at Contemporary in the tower... Just don't leave doors open.

Ugh,...just so frustrated about Kona right now Of course there is not much availability for the evening of the 25th outside of the parks. I found an opening for Maya Grill at CSR...is this any good? Wondering if we could eat there about 6:15 and make it to Poly in time for 9pm for the Electrical Water Pageant and Wishes???

Just wondering how the food is at Maya Grill? The menu looks yummy!

Okay, first of all, I can NOT keep up with this thread, no matter how hard I try. I only have two kids, my husband is away on business and I only have a part time job and there is no way I can keep up with the amount of pages and posts

Neither can I. I wasn't able to get on last night. Today, I cleaned the living room and that took me most of the day. When I was finally able to check this thread I found that we went from 41/42 pages to 58!

A few things I just read about here that are bothering me:

SNAKES??? Am I reading correctly??? I don't think I can handle finding a snake in my LM room

Bedbugs...I have personally experienced them at POR a few years back and it is NO fun. Then again we also experienced the stomach bug during the same trip so now we always bring a huge can of lysol with us and the second we enter the room, I start spraying EVERYTHING in sight!!!

I'm glad you guys don't think I'm being overly cautious. Hey, we're staying at POR too. And I think I have heard about snakes and given the beautiful water view at POR I think that makes it more conducive to snakes too. Makes me think I should add second floor to our room requests......

I don't know how the food is-the restaurant itself isn't very popular and seems to get mediocre reviews. But you should have plenty of time to get to the Poly afterwards. If you don't have a car, take a bus from CSR to MK, then boat/monorail to the Poly. We had very good bus service when we stayed at CSR.

I'm looking at availability for that day, and see that Trail's End at Ft. Wilderness is open. I enjoyed that quite a lot and have another ADR scheduled there this trip. Captain's Grille at YC, Turf Club at SSR, Boatwright's at PORS, and Boma at AKL are all open as well, and they seem to get generally good reviews.

We saw a snake outside near the pool at WL last year. It was black and that's all I remember because I was out of there!

Well, I spoke to soon about the menu looking good...on the Disney site it lists is as a steakhouse/seafood and the menu I originally read matched that description perfectly, but then when I searched Mayan Grill on Dis boards, I find completely different menus resembling a pretty standard Mexican restaurant. (there was a mention of a 'new' menu...not something I want to hear tonight Seriously, are any of the menus for these restaurants correct??? This is so frustrating.

I already have Trail's End reservations for another night (planning on doing the Wagon ride after dinner). I was hoping to find something close to the Poly. The Grand Floridian Cafe menu looked good as well, but there's no availabilty.

Y'all, it's Florida. Of course there are snakes. And big ole palmetto bugs, just be aware, you'll be fine. But do check for bed bugs at any hotel!

I have nothing but great things from Maya Grill! I would want to make sure I was out of there by 7:45. Eat fast. Is Artist Point available? That would be much closer to MK.

I find the menus on disneyworld.com to be accurate, more so than I would expect (they show the "Mexican" menu)! I'm a little wary of allears lately on all aspects-I booked WL based on the photos, and then found out the next day that they had changed the decor in August.
