Nope, debating the bag - I went to look at it yesterday and it was actually pretty big which surprised me ... wondering if its too big.

Definitely getting the hat though!

If you get the hat, you dont need to dye your hair pink. :thumbsup2

Welcome! You've found the right place if you're obsessive/compulsive about Disney planning :cheer2:

TOTALLY understand the packing list panic. I've got a very similar list in Excel that I have saved on my home computer, work computer, and probably half a dozen USB drives!

You'll HAVE to let me know how you like Dive Quest. I told my little cousin (who'll be 10 in January) I'll take the open water classes and get scuba certified with her this summer, and once I have my certification that Dive Quest might be a "must do" on a future trip.

Oh yeah, it would help if I saved the list in more than one spot! I need to put it on my ipad, that's the logical place for it anyway.

I did the Dive Quest years ago, and it was amazing! I've never heard anyone say anything bad about it, even expert divers who've experienced much than I have in their dive careers. The only reason I'm not going this time is that I have one kid who doesn't dive, so he and I will do something else together. It is also an easy way to keep up your dive skills if you're landlocked like we are, and happen to be visiting Disney. :)

OK, fellow December travelers.

I am looking to spread a little Disney holiday magic.pixiedust: If you have NOT yet purchased tickets and you will be entering DHS in the afternoon (for the first time that day) on 12/17 or AK on the morning of 12/19, PM me. First person to respond with corresponding dates and times will get a fabulous surprise! :thumbsup2

Ok, that's DEFINITELY going in the must do list for a future trip :)

Ha ha! I'd like to see the look on your mum's and DD's faces if you did that :-) LOL

Welcome - I think you are going to fit in very nicely here. We are a great fun group. We love to give advice, we're very good at enabling shopping and/or spending money, and all are very friendly and nice. I think it's the best thread I've ever been a part of on the Dis. :thumbsup2
Aw, what a lovely welcome.
And that bit about shopping- what a hoot! :) I might need your help there, I have no problem spending for a big trip to Disney but I'm oddly cheap when it comes to the little things. My family will tell you I'm so tight I squeak! ::yes::

I just read your whole TR. Great pictures!!!!! I love how you rode the safari so many times. That would be a big benefit of a solo trip!!

Wow, you read it all that fast? And thanks, I take a ton of pictures! And KS may be my favorite ride at WDW, or at least top 5 for sure. I ride it multiple times every trip.

Haha, propose before actually dating? I think I might scare her away. Though, we kinda had a mini-date last night. We both watched the same movie at the same time (via Netflix), and Skyped during the movie so we could talk about the movie/whatever else came to mind. It was surprisingly fun!

awwwwwwwww

our little levenhopper had a mini-movie-skype date!!!

good thing this is a family-friendly Disney board or one might wonder what kind of movie :rotfl2:

just kidding!

While we were talking last night, I brought up how I was super excited for our nice night out (California Grill), and thought of it as a mini date night. She laughed, and said "Psh, we both know how we act together. The entire trip will be a date." She then blushed, and had one of the biggest smiles I've ever seen. :cutie:

:yay: So cute! :lovestruc

THEY DO A MATCHING HAT !!!!

LOVE IT!!!!

OH EM GEE

so amazingly cute... like I feel all giddy for you guys... it's kinda a good thing we'll miss you on your trip or I'd be tempted to find you all and just hug the crud out of ya! I feel like the mom on The Proposal... I'd hand you the baby-maker quilt...

Whoa! I haven't checked in since yesterday evening and I come back to find I have about 20+ pages to catch up on!

That is a nice camera - it gets great reviews too :thumbsup2

That's the camera I got DS(almost)10 for his birthday. I had to pay separate for the case but I have Amazon Prime, so no shipping. DS is a budding photographer and his old camera isn't cutting it - it takes AAs and won't take an Eye-Fi card. So I wanted him to have a new one before the trip. Also got him a regular sized carry-on suitcase (instead of the kiddie one he had). It has the embossed Mickey head on it.

Got the binoculars and night vision goggles this week. Haven't tried them out yet. ;)

I realized on Monday we'll be at 6 weeks. Ack! That's serious panic time!

Hi everyone! My name is Jason and I Just signed up and am happy to confirm our dates as 12/2-12/8. I'll be traveling with my wife and 2 girls, ages 6(7 when we're there) and 4. We're taking a family trip for the first time to DW. My wife and I had been there back in 2001, but not since. We're coming all the way from Alaska for my Daughters 7th birthday.

Basically I have no plans except for her birthday dinner. We made ADR for CRT on her birthday. Other then that I'm totally lost on what we need to do without coming home feeling like we missed out.

I'm looking at MVMCP and was strongly considering that. It's probably a dumb question, but is it worth it? I'm assuming it is as I know the kids would love it.

What tips do you guys and gals have that I can make my daughters birthday there one she'll always remember?

Alaska?! My aunt and cousin live in Anchorage, and a friend of DH's from H.S. also moved there. Anyhoo :welcome: to the DISboards and a very fast moving thread!
