Drive to DHS on Tuesday 12/11, be there for rope drop. Spend the day, do the parade at 3??? leave as soon as the parade is over. Go back to our cabin at FW, freshin up, change dd into her Cinderella dress and book it by car to 1900 Park Fare for a 5:15 dinner? Figure after dinner we can do the campfire at FW and watch the fireworks and Water parade from the beach at FW.

Am I cutting it too short between dinner and DHS parade? Should I just bring her costume and change her in the van?

This will get DHS out the way except for the lights.

That's a Great idea! I am not sure what it is called either but I know my mom has some and I have fabric markers... Now I am not sure which I will do.

I know fabric/craft stores have iron on marking tape. I got a couple of rolls (with a pen) at Wal-mart a few years ago when my son went to camp.

I think you can order pre-printed iron-on name tape as well.

It might be cutting it close. Since you have the option, why don't you bring her stuff in the van, and then if you have time, go back to FW, if not, chsbge in the van/a bathroom? That way you'll be less stressed wondering

I think you will be cutting it really, really fine going back to the cabin - I would feel very rushed. If it were me, I would bring the costume with you and change in the van, that way, you will all be a bit more relaxed :)

Good morning, fellow DISers. I'm up early to go donate platelets. I go every 2 weeks. Not a lot of fun being hooked up to a machine for 2 hours but it makes me feel good. And a bonus - each time I go I earn points that I can redeem in their online store. For all of 2011 & 2012 I've earned enough points to get about $130 in Wal-Mart gift cards which will be used (you guessed it) for supplies shopping at the store near WDW on our upcoming trip. Every dollar counts when it comes to WDW!!

Thanks. This helps a lot. I'll choose Raglan or something else. What about the dueling piano bar place. Do they serve dinner?

We are trying Raglan Road this trip for the first time. I've read great things about it so I'm excited.

My only memories of my grandmother on my Italian side is of her cooking in her Manhattan apartment. :)

My husband and son went last trip to the water park and it was in the 60's I think. I stayed back with a friend. This time I will be alone if they do it-I am a wimp when it comes to cold weather.

I couldn't go to the watermark unless it was almost 80*, I'm a wimp too!

Whoohoo. I finally found a breakfast at Whispering Canyon and it was on the day we were scheduled for lunch, so I switched the two. With the menu change I really wanted breakfast anyway. We have a 9:05 breakfast there :cheer2:, I guess we can take the boat from FW?

Now to find an earlier breakfast for 1900 Park Fare and Akershus, and I may cancel Cape May but that leaves us with no meals with Minnie and the gang. :confused3 Are the Characters still at Liberty Tree in MK?

No characters at LTT, would be neat to have a breakfast there with Mickey and the gang in patriot wear.

:rotfl: See! Thats why I love America - much simpler! Of course you call it hem tape because its .... hem tape! When we were just visiting when DD was a baby she had diaper rash so I went to get some cream and it was called butt paste because its butt paste :rotfl: So I HAD to buy it :thumbsup2

I used Butt Paste on my kids, lol. I too had to have it cause of the name (well, that and the recommendation of a friend, lol)

Good morning! As someone who has needed a platelet transfusion, thank you for donating! :goodvibes

Thank you for doing that, it is really appreciated and so important!

I volunteer at Blood Drives (I'm the one who gives you cookies and keeps an eye on you just after for 5 mins) I do this because I cannot donate because I am British .... its all to do with the mad cow disease even though for 30 yrs there is still no evidence that it transfers to humans, so I will never be able to donate here (donated all the time in the UK). It makes me sad because, and even Red Cross nurses will tell you this, there is nothing to indicate it would be a problem. But, because of this ban, people who have spent so much time in Europe are banned aswell so guess what? Thats 400,000 blood donors we have lost from the military. And we have a huge shortage.

Anyway, sorry, off my soap box now and thank you again dnsmills you really are saving lives :)

I was up early because I had to drop DD off for a Girl Scout event at 7am .... thats just wrong!

Good Saturday Morning!!! We had some pretty wicked storms here last night and a tornado touch down a few miles from the house. Around here that's not something that happens every day. I was out with friends about 45 minutes away and DH had the boys home. Luckily all was ok at our house. Tonight's Date Night for DH and I, can't wait!! Hope everyone is enjoying their weekend

There should be a law against that!

Ehh it allows to to keep my 4 weeks paid vacation, kids out of daycare and I only work 13 hours a week... I could quit but then Disney and vacations wouldn't be as often!!

So I turned out to be sicker than I thought. Fortunately I have nothing to so this morning but catch up on a scary number of pages. ;)

Poor you, glad you're feeling better :flower3:

O.K. I just realized, that because of you peeps, that I dreamed last night of shopping for luggage! I have no life. Anyway my husband and I have an ongoing 'discussion' about buying new luggage. He doesn't care about stains and rips and that drives me crazy with luggage. One of the zippers on one of the cheap pieces is breaking. I may have to go into the closet and help it along- cut to visual of me in the closet with some pliers....

Sears is having a great sale right now on a 3 pc luggage set for $38.99. The regular price is $139.99. It comes with an 24" case, an 18" case and a 15" carry on tote. The sale just started yesterday and goes until 10/27 if you need a small set.

Thanks for taking the time. As a mom of a child who is transfusion dependent and has needed platelets, I'm so thankful for those who donate. Have a great day!
