Hi everyone! My name is Jason and I Just signed up and am happy to confirm our dates as 12/2-12/8. I'll be traveling with my wife and 2 girls, ages 6(7 when we're there) and 4. We're taking a family trip for the first time to DW. My wife and I had been there back in 2001, but not since. We're coming all the way from Alaska for my Daughters 7th birthday.

Basically I have no plans except for her birthday dinner. We made ADR for CRT on her birthday. Other then that I'm totally lost on what we need to do without coming home feeling like we missed out.

I'm looking at MVMCP and was strongly considering that. It's probably a dumb question, but is it worth it? I'm assuming it is as I know the kids would love it.

What tips do you guys and gals have that I can make my daughters birthday there one she'll always remember?

CRT will be an amazing dinner. Make sure to get her the birthday button and note on your reservations that it's her birthday. You never know when magic will happen

I can't say whether MVMCP is worth the money yet because it's our first party too but I've heard fantastic things about it

I would stick to the DTD, I wouldn't waste a ticket for 2-3 hours at MK. If you were doing the party it would be worth it, but if no, it's not. That's just me.

I think that depends on how much you're paying for that extra ticket. If its a long trip, the cost can be pretty low.

I haven't received email confirmation of payment from Disney but I can see they have taken the money ... how long did everyone elses take?

She's no fun, i say get them anyways, lol.

I think they say it takes 24/48 hours but I got mine almost instantly. Would it go in your spam folder?

I am thinking of signing up for a tour in January; spent last night reading about the different tours and know I am more confused then before . It's just Jeff and myself going in January what tour would you recommend?

I'm looking on the DisneyStore online for the first time - do their men's sizes usually run big or small? I'm between a medium and a large, and I can't decide which to get.

Thats what it starts with .... just a casual browse in the online store.

We have sucked in another one!!! But, really..how was last night the first time you were on the site???? That is willpower my friend.

And someone already answered this, but I agree the sizes run small.

After staying at the Wilderness Lodge?

I hope it isn't too long.....our MVMCP is just as long as yours. We have a CRT 8:05 am ADR and plan on staying at MK the entire day then the party afterwards.


I would hit the monorail resorts/WL on a day you plan on being at MK.....and Boardwalk/YC/BC on a DHS day.

I would do drastic things for that CRT ADR! We're staying at Boardwalk so that one's easy!


Maybe we'll take some time out on that long MK day and do the monorail resort tour. I just want to see all the pretty decorations.

Keys to the Kingdom or Wild Africa Trek. No experience with either, they are just the two that I want to do. I know Terri has done Wild Africa Trek, not sure if anyone has mentioned any other tours on here.

I am staying at POP and very much want to stay at WL, so I would say yes, you will be disappointed. It would be much easier to stay at a value first and then move up to a deluxe. I think the opposite would be sad.
Is there a different deluxe you could stay at or even a moderate? Or maybe you would be okay with it as long as you know what the difference is going to be and are ready to accept it. Smaller beds, less amenities, probably louder, no TS restaurants, no waterslide. But good food court and fun, giant icons.

Does anyone know what Disney Junior characters are around DHS for autographs? Our TV is always on Disney Jr these days and well I have a request to find and meet Doc McStuffins and Jake and the Pirates.

The last time we were there we saw some of the Little einsteins and Handy Manny. A friend was just there and they met Jake

Good Morning!

Paid off balance yesterday ... still awaiting confirmation from Disney.

Everything is paid now, resort package, MVMCP tix, La Nouba tix, Photopass Plus, Deluxe Dining. So yep, I'm broke

I just got my confirmation this morning for the credit from Friday when I switched back to POP, so it can take a few days.

But congrats on being all paid!!!!
I still need to decide about Photopass. DH is not a big picture poser. I told him I want a pic of us in front of each icon and he agreed to that. But he would rather just ask someone to take a picture of us and not do photopass. I of course want the borders to play with, so for $99 I think I would do that. But then I think about for $70 more I can have the ride photos. I know we will do Dinosaur a couple times and Buzz multiple times. Not sure if he will ride Splash or not. I will probably ride EE alone. Neither of us will ride Space. I can't remember the other rides. I wish there was a picture on TSMM.

That is so cute!!!! Now I want to collect autographs, just so I can have the cute book. I need to rent-a-kid. We stood in line for Aladdin and Jasmine last year because that was DB's favorite movie growing up. This year I want Beast&Belle (if they are at the party) and Mickey&Minnie. I might do the free VISA pic too if I remember.

The VISA pic is at Innoventions West I think, might be east. But definitely one of the Innoventions buildings.

On an unrelated plan note - after we decided we didn't need BOG enough to squeeze it into the plan, DH tells me yesterday he thinks DSis would really like it, and could I squeeze it in? Ummm... BOG ressies now? No problem. I'll get right on that.

What's so hard about that?? Tell him that can be on the plan for the next trip!!

I don't think you will be disappointed - maybe disappointed in the room as it will be smaller and more basic than WL but the value rooms aren't that bad and its only one night. But, POP is so different theme wise you may enjoy the larger than life in your face icons - they are fun.

Morning DIS friends. My poor baby (DS2) woke up with a slight fever this AM and is just laying on my bed watching tv. Hoping it goes away as quick as it came. I hate when my kids are sick but especially DS2 with a fever. He has a history of gentle seizures so I worry he'll spike.

Enough of my pity party, anyone have any good Disney news to share. I checked out the Disney store website last night. Saw some stuff I'd love to have but just don't need. I don't want to eat up my very limited spending budget. lol. Plus I already have something's in mind that I want to get that aren't on the site (a charm for my bracelet, personalized towels (DHS))

Bummer. I didn't think it would close this soon. We're not planning a lot of characters for Plan A but wanted the obligatory first-timer Mickey picture. If you go right when it opens, Character Spot is a fast way to knock those out. Need to rethink.
