Good morning everyone!

I've been MIA for a few days. Super busy with all the last minute wedding stuff.

I can't believe that this time next week I'll be married, and waking up in Disney.

I'm going to go back and read over the last few days activities. I hope everyone's planning is going smoothly. December is only a few days away!

I've been lurking but, too busy to post. This caught my eye, this AM...so excited for you and your bride-to-be!! Looking so forward to keeping up with all of your plans over the next few days!:lovestruc

Looks like ill be heading to Walgreens!!

They've also got them on amazon (and maybe even some that are Prime eligible, if timing is an issue).

One caveat:

If the ears are COMPLETELY plugged, you shouldn't use them. Minor colds, allergies, whatever....you should be fine.

But not if they're so congested they're already feeling ear pain/significant pressure BEFORE you take off.

As with anything...maybe give your pediatrician a call to confirm if you want. :)

We've already started dosing everyone with Airborne (as of this morning). Nobody's showing signs of being sick...we just figure better safe than sorry..

This packing list is great! The kids and I are folding laundry :rotfl: hopefully it will be folded by the end of the morning!! Once I'm done I'm going to start getting all the non essentials packed and then make a checklist to for all the things to pack the morning of.

Sinus update- not looking forward to the plane ride if it doesn't go away. Ok I have a question- I have DD1 (17 months) and DD3. I've been giving them vitamins and feeding them things loaded in nutrients to keep them from getting the sinus infection. Now is there anything safe I can give them in a plane to not make it a painful trip? I am just looking for advice and plan on consulting the pediatrician on Wed when she is in her office...

Can you give the little one a pacifier? I've heard the sucking helps with the ear pressure.

:offtopic: from anything being discussed now:

Victoria and Albert's still has openings almost every day 12/16-12/20. Has anyone eaten there before?

3 or 4 times. It's AMAZING.

My wife and I are foodies...BIG TIME.

V&A's is one of the best meals I've ever had, anywhere. Not the best..but one of them.

I planned on calling pediatrician on Wed, but wanted to look into a few options because we leave early Friday. I've been giving them vitamins and hoping they stay healthy! Also good food, lots of active play and good sleep!

She never took to a pacifier, has had a lot of benefits but has made some things difficult.

Morning, it's Monday!! Time for my daily (sometimes more) post. One week from today we will be about 2 hours from arriving at WDW!! It's haircut day in our house. Luckily no one has asked for a Mohawk. DS6 usually just asks our friend (our neighbor cuts our hair) to spike the from 'like a dragon' after she cuts it. And DS2 just goes with the flow. Me, no big changes. Just a trim and some color to cover the roots and any Greta that have decided to make an appearance.

So Thanksgiving is over. This weekend we were debating with friends on when its ok to start playing Christmas music and put up the tree. Our friends DH thinks you can't do either till the calendar says December. Me, I say now. What about you guys. Do you have a hard line date? Or as long as the Turkey is put away?

After Thanksgiving, definitely.

Although yesterday I gave DS a choice between Christmas music and Disney music. He chose Disney. ;-)

Ditto on all counts. We leave next Wednesday.....so far, so healthy!

I should thank you, because the discussion reminded me of earplanes...which I think we're (and by "we're", I mean my wife, who is out shopping for "trip stuff" right now) going to pick up some for our kids. My son, last time we flew, complained for a day or two about the after effects on his ears (and he was 100% healthy at the time). Didn't even think of it til you mentioned it.

My oldest two go for their annual check ups on Wed...so going to ask our pediatrician about earplanes that day, too. Just to make sure.

Good luck and have a safe trip!

We're arriving the 7th and staying through the 16th!!! Our longest trip yet! It's me, DH, DS (6 months) & MIL. This will be out second trip to WDW with DS & my MIL's first holiday trip!! So excited!!!

After T-day, we go all Christmas out! Tree is up. My DH can't stand most Christmas music (except the ol' classics---swooners/ Motown), so I have to listen sparingly when with him.

Umm Hello!!! Unless I missed it, we never got a full report on the Bach Party!! :sad2:

Thank you, you as well! I never heard of them - so this could be a great option. I have always been the lady with the bag of lollipops :) My husband wonders why I always bring so many but understood when I gave one to a little boy who was sobbing so bad from the pressure on his ears... Even if it just distracted him it was worth it to make it more comfortable. I have a feeling I will be buying sinus meds for DH and I for the flight.

Also - has everyone noticed that MVMCP keep selling out??? Eeek!!!

Haha I was thinking the same thing!! Maybe it had a Vegas vibe to it... What happens here stays here.... Hahahaha

This week I need to figure out our packing list and get whatever we may still need... Anyone have a great packing list??

I've made up my own for each of us based on what we need and will go over it tonight with DH. If I didn't, I can garauntee that we would forget something if I didn't do this.

DH asked me this morning if I could pack his suitcase for him. I then had to remind him of what I've been saying these past few days - each of us have our own suitcase and each of us are responsible for packing it. He looked at me and said with a smile, "So if I forget somthing, I'm screwed.". Um, yep.

EarPlanes are a patented pressure-regulating earplug inserted in the ear to help reduce discomfort often associated with air travel. They were developed by Cirrus Healthcare Products LLC in conjunction with the House Ear Institute in Los Angeles, and have been tested by US Navy aviators at the Miramar Naval Air Station in San Diego.

Looks like they DO still sell them!

I might ask my wife to grab some for OUR kids. :)

Thank you, thank you, thank you!:worship:

I had the same problem 6 years ago with the pressure on the plane ride home. I was fine with take off from NY and landing in FL as well as taking off from FL. But once we started to get closer to NY, the pressure was just too much for me and I was in excrutiating pain that I had tears coming down my face. The pain lasted for about 1-2 weeks before everything returned to normal.

This time I'm not taking any chances with my seasonal allergies and sinus issues. I've read about Earplanes on several threads and forums on these boards and went out and bought them last week at my local Rite Aid. The cost was $8 and change for just one box of 2 and can only be used for one round-trip flight. A bit pricey IMO and I hope worth it.

I've also got my Vick's Sinex nasal spray to use to help with my sinuses right before we go. Because I get sinus headaches due to pressure changes with the seasons (summer to fall and winter to spring) I will have my Excedrin with me as well.
