That would be awesome! :thumbsup2

Can I request a 3:30am wake up call? That's what time we'll need to rise and shine and get on the road... :faint: but it's gonna be soooo worth it!

Plus think of how good we'll look because we skipped Thanksgiving pounds!

gina

I could do with skipping the turkey lbs!

If anyone wakes me up on the day of my wedding at 3:30 am though, I'm likely to be violent.

I'm stressed enough! That's why I booked a nice evening flight the next day. No rushing for this guy.

I can mark one thing off of my to-do list: I talked to my son's teachers today! His homeroom teacher was none-to-thrilled, but at least she was civil about. His math/science teacher was wonderful, asked if she could go with us.

As I've been reading your replies, however, I am finding that I need to add to my to-do list!

I'm sure there's more.

Just curious if anyone has seen any Disney window clings this year. I've been looking since Halloween but so far nothing.

Well it's a good thing you're not doing one of those Magic Kingdom photo shoots for their Fairy Tale weddings... those brides and grooms can only shoot their pics from like 6am to 8am before the park opens so the couples have to get up at around 4am to get ready and get driven into the park... craziness... :crazy2:

For me, that's the start of my vacation is having my nails and toes done! Although I'll be wearing tennis shoes the majority of the time, I'm hopeful the flip flops can make an appearance too ;)

As awesome as the result of that would be, I'm pretty happy to say that the only thing we'll be doing in WDW is relaxing.

And engorging ourselves.

And hugging a ridiculous number of characters.

:D

I have no help for you, but I ran a few errands this afternoon and wore my yoga pants for the first time. Love them!! So comfy!! I kinda feel like I am wearing pajama pants or sweats in public, but hey if these are socially acceptable, sign me up! :thumbsup2

Yay! Aren't they awesome! Soooooo comfortable :thumbsup2

I just stood over an hour waiting for my bus home. It's 38F out. I'm freezing. 2 busses came but had to leave since they were broken.

I just asked DBF to pick up Pillsbury Cinnamon Rolls at the grocery. For some reason I'm craving cinnamon rolls.

I was hoping to get home early to pack up a few more things.

I had some delivered tonight!!!!

A kid in the neighbourhood was selling yummy stuff for a fund raiser for Chorus so of course I bought a bucket load of stuff .... then my neighbour's kid stops by the next day - she's in Chorus too and I didn't know so I bought a bucket load of yummy stuff from her too :rotfl2:

So tonight, the boy dropped off these HUGE cinnamon buns (honestly, they are about 7inches in diameter  ), chocolate dipped chocolate brownies, regular brownies, then these peanut cluster type things. THEN my neighbour comes by with Grandmas Old Fashioned Apple cake, Chocolate chip cookie dough, chocolate covered pretzels and a cheesecake.

:woohoo::woohoo: I'm gonna be so sick tonight :yay::yay:

I'm coming to your house!! I want to eat all the sweets. I love brownies and I have brownie mix but I don't feel like making them.

I would give anything right now for all you can eat desserts, a cup of tea and a cat to snuggle. I have the cup of tea but I'm missing the rest.

Is it December yet?

There's a video I saw on the Travel Channel once (many years ago) that shows them doing it time-lapsed; its insane ... that may have been when I decided we needed to go for Xmas ...

It's 80 degrees right now here in S. Florida. Blue skies, no humidity. PERFECTION. :beach:
Can I have some of that here? We never get no-humidity ...
Well, if you do I apologise in advance. Its hard to convey stuff through words on a screen so I might come off as a <insert your word of choice here> because I'm trying really hard not to say too much and breach the DIS rules.

Trouble with the DIS is you have to be so polite because of the rules it makes you sound like a stuck-up you-know-what .... "with respect, kind sir" "politely agree to disagree" "I totally see your point of view ..." Ummmm, NO I DON'T :lmao: :lmao: :lmao:
This is why I never venture into the Community Boards ... ;)
I went back and read the last few pages. That girl has some issues!! :confused3. Glad the virtual violence helped. :)

My day has been great. Watching tv. Checking menus and figuring out my OOP costs for breakfast and tips. Right around $200 and I tried to overestimate, not the $500 that DH seems to think it will be. But he will still say that is too much. I might tell him it is $300 and then act like I changed something to get it down to $200. :rotfl2: He has no idea how much any of this trip has cost. Fun stuff comes out of my money. :goodvibes
:rotfl:I always underestimate what the totals are when DH asks since I know he'll never do the real math in the end ... :rolleyes1

Can I come to your house? I'll bring wine! ;)

So I quickly read through this afternoon's posts and, out of curiosity, I had to look at the bus thread. Those people are CRAZY!!!!:crazy2: Wow!

I didn't get my Mickey mail but I did get my customized maps that I will use for the scrapbook I'll make sooner or later- like when my kids are in high school! :rotfl2:

I'm going to look on the family board but does anyone have a handy link for suggested projects kids can do related to Disney? Dd7 is in 2nd grade and will miss a week of school. Her teacher and principal have ok'd the absence and, even though they are not requiring it, I would feel better if we did a little work. I'm going to make/buy her a cute journal so she can journal about her trip. Plus, I think it will be cute to look back in ten years and see the magic of Disney through the eyes of a 7 year old!

I dont know how to copy a link on my ipad, but Josh at easywdw did a blog on the Osborne Lights today. :santa: Yay, he is finally doing stuff that we will get to see!! :cool1::banana::yay::dance3:

I saw this. I'm so excited! The Osborne Lights look awesome!

Here's a question: where would be a good place to grab a CS dinner at DHS before the lights? We are not going to Fantasmic (I showed DS a video of Fantasmic on YouTube and he started backing away from the computer. "No, thank you, Mommy.") After reading the post on easywdw, I'm thinking about getting on line for Santa Goofy at 5:45 and then seeing the lights. I know that DD and DS will consider Santa Goofy a"must do". I looked at the menu for Studio Catering, and I don't think there is anything DH will eat there. He does not do salads and likes sandwiches, but plain (I.e. meat, cheese and bread and nothing else). Any other convenient suggestions?

I can't imagine why you're craving cinnamon rolls around here :lmao:

Good morning!!! It is cold here too. Glad I dont have to go anywhere this morning. :rotfl2: Might run some errands later. Plan to work on the food and tips cost this morning. Thanks for the spreadsheet Taaren. :goodvibes

I obsess over my google docs spreadsheet! I also made a little excel spreadsheet with estimated meals costs and tips (we're doing the DxDDP, which really forces you to order the most expensive thing on the menu, thus increasing your tip)! Dh and I went through the menus and picked what we thought we would like to eat.....and at R&C he wanted Fish & Chips.....which are $18 for lunch....and I'm like, "that isn't expensive enough"! :rotfl2: This is a dumb thought on my part, though......people should order what they want to eat, not necessarily the most expensive thing on the menu! Am I alone with this thought process?

*runs in and slams the door*

Ok, someone lock me in here now. I shouldn't be allowed on the other boards

Isn't it amazing how b!^*&y some people are? Can you image being like that irl? Who would want to be around people like that?!? That isn't the point A to point B thread, is it?

I know! I so want to slap some of them across the head with a huge wet smelly fish :teeth:

:lmao: I'm envisioning that ^^^^^ now .... its funny in my head :lmao:

I'm staying in here now. Its nicer HA!

It's funny in my head too.....sort of like: :duck: only that should be a little slimey fish....,,.
