Pretty much everything but the packing. Flights are booked, Hotel Ressies are made, ADRs are made, Tiffany Towncar ressie is made (we're doing our first night at the HRH and doing IOA the next day) Tickets are bought, Packing lists are made, general daily itinerary is done, "paperwork" folder is put together (with everything but boarding passes), parking reservations at the airport are made...

3. What do you have remaining to do?
Pack, make a grocery list for the villa, get to the airport

4. Are you decorating your hotel room?
Maybe. I think we're going to grab some battery powered LED X-mas lights and decorate the stroller. If we can find a cheap, small tree at the grocery store stop, we'll probably pick it up.

5. Any outstanding ADRs you are hoping to snatch up?
Nope, we're good to go. We managed a BOG ressie on "launch day" (what a debacle)..that was the last one we needed.

6. Are there any last minute trip decisions you are still pondering? (i.e. attending MVMCP, ungrading/downgrading).

Nope, not really. We're skipping MVMCP this trip. Only changes might be weather related, and we won't be able to address those til closer.

7. How do you feel right now? (Excited? Overwhelmed? Stressed? All planned out? "Meh"? In a planning frenzy? Festive? Confused? Dorky?)

Excited and strangely zen. More stressed over X-mas shopping and getting it all wrapped and ready before we leave (at least the stuff for our kids). My DW and I really don't want to have to come back with 9 days til X-mas and have to go into wrapping frenzy. We'll see how it all works out....

I saw those at Target. Do you think someone would steal them at night? I need something for the day. I guess some obnoxious ribbon could work.

2. What do you have done? Trip paid in full, airfare booked & paid for, airport shuttle booked, ADR's, Steam train tour booked for MK, park visit for each day set, and I just printed out Mousekeeping envelopes and luggage inserts from The Mouse for Less today.

It is funny...did you also say "cinnamon bun hoo ha?" I laughed about that. They are tasty...and as big as my face...I can see why so many people would want to focus on talking about them. I "liked" a GF board on fb and you would think the world was coming to an end...between the cinnamon buns, the MSB, and the new DVC...not sure how these people will carry on???

2. What do you have done? Paid off trip, booked flights, bought PP+, La Nouba, and MVMCP tickets. Bought TP's holiday guide, had it printed and bound, and sent it to Abby yesterday for her birthday (also included a printed itinerary, and park maps).

3. What do you have remaining to do? Pack, print Mousekeeping envelopes, get cash from the bank for tips, get DME/Mickey Mail from TA.

I know I've done all the planning I can (with great help *winks*), and now it's just a waiting game until the fun begins!

Excited, but trying to stay focus. I don't want to freak out my co-workers with a bunch of Disney talk! One of my co-workers is originally from FL, but doesn't get the "whole Disney World thing". What's wrong with these people!

Checking menus and figuring out my OOP costs for breakfast and tips.

Ack! I completely forgot about that! DH and I have to sit down and figure out a ballpark figure for our tips and OOP expenses as well. Maybe Thanksgiving weekend we can sit down and do that. It's a bit hectic this week with DS having 2 half days b/c of parent/teacher conferences.

Here's my rule of thumb (and keep in mind, we're not big drinkers..so you might need to increase based on your desire for adult beverages):

We figure $40 per adult and $20 per child, per TS. That figures entree, drink, and dessert OR App (we never do both). Then I estimate 20% for a tip. Works out to about $8 per adult and $4 per kid, per meal.

Exact will likely vary...but we've found that to be a pretty good estimate, in sum total (rather than day by day) for our trips.

We are an excited, extended family of 7 looking forward to spending Christmas in sunny Florida We arrive on Dec. 23rd and depart on Jan. 5th. We will be staying off resort in a rental house in Lake Berkley, Kissimmee. We have plans to spend two days in Disney Parks (MK and HS), two days at Universal/IOA, one day at Sea World and a day at Kennedy's Space Center. DH wants this to be a relaxing vacation so I had to keep several days theme park free in order to keep him on board Counting down the days until we arrive. Looking forward to spending our first ever SNOW free Christmas!

2. What do you have done? Crazy big invite project that I'll post pics of soon, Amazon or Disney or someone else has been delivering packages several times a week

5. Any outstanding ADRs you are hoping to snatch up? After Disney moved the EMH to Dec 4 and ruined my pre-park opening ADR, I've been trying to snatch up a CRT I'm happier with. I've got one, but not what I want.

6. Are there any last minute trip decisions you are still pondering? (i.e. attending MVMCP, upgrading/downgrading) Not really. We aren't doing MVMCP, but might change our minds there if the 4th isn't sold out

I know what you guys mean about the fighting threads. There is one poster who makes me nuts too. Whatever the topic, she tells people not to complain. I'm not a big fan of posting just to whine, but if the whining bothers me, I simply move on. I hate people who tell other people what they should and shouldn't care about. Even if they post calm, logical gripes, she tells them not to. I didn't know you could block someone's posts. Maybe I'll have to do that. Of course, I'll be confused when people start arguing back as they seem to do often with her.

YES! We were just there in June!!!

But I have to say, I'm kinda diggin the idea of not getting to MK until dark... Now, that I've come off the ledge, I can see how that would be incredibly romantic... Although if we wait until dark, it'll be incredibly hard to get a good spot for the Castle lighting - I think they're within 30 minutes of each other (dark and lighting)... So I said maybe we get to dinner at LTT and when we come out it'll be dark and we can go get our spot for the lighting?? don't know...

Nope! We are doing MVMCP, a holiday hayride (sshhhhh!) and a whole bunch of other personal little holiday fun.
