FWIW, Accuweather is now showing the forecast for Dec 1.

http://www.accuweather.com/en/us/orlando-fl/32801/december-weather/328169?monyr=12/1/2012

No snow in Disney world. :)

26 Days!!!

Big expected change. Couple of days ago for Nov 28 it said 80/65 now its saying 69/50 for Dec 1.

We were there last week of Nov last year and it was shorts weather. Back in Orlando Christmas day, shorts weather.

I hope it is again!!! I was going to bring jacket for evenings but already bought shorts and t shirts for trip.

Hi, everyone! I'd like to add my name to the list. DH and I will be arriving on 12/10 and leaving on 12/15 - without the kids!!! We're staying at CSR and it will be our first vacation alone since before my oldest was born, over 13 years ago. We're excited!

It's also our first time in December, which is one of the reasons I booked this trip. I've always wanted to see the Christmas decorations and it's my birthday week. Yay!

We're planning to go to MVMCP on the 13th, although I haven't bought the tickets yet. I'm trying to hold off until closer to see what the weather will be like. I just hope it doesn't sell out before I purchase tickets. We're also thinking about doing one of the holiday tours, but we haven't confirmed that yet.

I'm sure we'll see some of y'all there!

Welcome aboard.

You will not be disappointed. Christmas at Disney is mind blowing. If you can find the time, maybe book a meal at 1 of the monorail resorts. Before/after eating, take the time to ride the monorail to see how they are decorated. Especially the Grand Floridian with it's 50' tree and life-sized gingerbread house. Also, see if you can budget some time to walk the World Showcase at EPCOT. So that you can get an earfull of the Candlelight Processional.

And MVMCP is a blast. The shows, the parades, the free hot chocolate and cookies, the special merchandise, seeing it snow on Main St., and the non-existent lines for the rides makes it worth the cost.

Hehe so true! I had a hard time containing my laughter as she tells people about things that are important to her at the moment... You know like buttons, yogurt squeezers...

Okay, this is hilarious. :lmao: And awesome. I wish I could have been a fly on the wall.

Your post reminded me we will be having our first night dinner at Narcoossee's which is in GF! I was trying to figure out how I was going to find time to get there and I already will be! :cheer2:

Squee!!! Does anyone know how late I can buy the gingerbread there? I need to get some to bring back.

I think I would have paid dearly for that... Ran into Walmart tonight and she saw the decorations and this is all I heard " Santa where arrrrrreeeee you! I missssasa yooooouuuuu!" ;)

Aww how cute is this. She misses him! :santa:

Good morning and happy Wednesday!

It was raining last night, and complete dark, by the time I got home. I figured I'd just get the mail today, rather than having to go out in the cold, wet, darkness. Then I remembered I'm nearing the mickey mail window and quickly turned the car around for the mailbox. No mickey mail. But that just means there's an even greater chance it'll come today!:hyper::hyper:

I did the same thing last night. Whoever gets home first, gets the mail. But last night was trash night, so DH gets the mail when he takes the trash out to the street. But then I thought "what if our Mickey mail is in there???" So I got the mail, but no Mickey mail.

Josh tweeted lots of Christmas decorations going up yesterday.

Also this: Hard to believe Disney actually put out a helpful document outlining holiday stuff at the theme parks: http://image.passholder.disneyparks.../m/1/WDW+Holiday+Calendar_download_121105.pdf

That is helpful!! People are always asking when stuff starts and ends.

No snow here, but I still want chocolate and warm jammies. :goodvibes

Disney marketing should call you!!! :thumbsup2

Good morning :goodvibes Its cold and rainy here .... I don't like it - BOO!

I still haven't got my pink flat irons *folds arms* whats up with that???

Welcome!! Don't forget to read post #2 - full of fab info!

It was 18 degrees this morning :(((

Good Wednesday Morning. Yay to no more political ads, I'm still ignoring the political talk on Facebook. Can't wait till that stops. Today we are forecast for another nor'easter and 3-6 inches of snow. Luckily the roads aren't cold enough to really (hopefully) cause to much of an issue. I think we are going to make up for mild temp and no snow from last winter.

I can't believe how busy things are getting around here. This weekend luckily we don't have anything. But starting next week it gets crazy. Mops, Breaking Dawn, Hershey park, thanksgiving at my aunts, thanksgiving here, then the next weekend we are spending with our boys before we leave!!!

I'm mostly ignoring Facebook today too, thanks to a few friends I have of the opposite party of me that have been posting some things that make me reconsider our friendship since last night. :worried: Thankfully here we won't get snow until this afternoon, and my area isn't expected to really get any accumulation, maybe an inch tops. It was already sleet for a bit on my way in to work this morning.

I'm hoping today is a good day, despite slamming my finger in my car door :scared1: Thankfully my finger is mostly fine, with just some light swelling on my knuckle. Unfortunately the reason my finger is okay is because my favorite ring took the brunt of the force and snapped in half :(

Your descriptions always make me so excited:goodvibes

Thank you. I kind of excite myself when I start to reminisce/look forward to the trip. But what really gets me excited, is that it is only 29 days til I board a plane and 30 til we (you, me and our parties) check-in and awe at our POR-Royal Guest Rooms... :goodvibes

I've been in excited mode for a while. But this past weekend really set it in motion. BDLsgal and I watched the non-stop Christmas movie on the Hallmark Channel :santa: (except when I clicked over to check the football scores. Shhhhh... don't tell her). I have the DVR set up to record the Trans-Siberian Orchestra special on Monday (consistently an AWESOME concert to go to). And I full plan to watch the HGTV Behind the Magic atleast 2 more times before my trip

Gingerbread? I love me some gingerbread. Where can I buy it?

Its tough. I am a very vocal person, I have passion about A LOT of things from politics to sparkles. But, I accept everyone for their passions no matter how different they are from own (unless they are being mean/evil etc) because that is what makes the world go around and, sometimes we learn great things from one another if we just shift our perspective for a moment.

And other times, events like this make us realise or understand whether a friendship is actually real or not. Hope you get it sorted, either way x

An inch of snow still requires warm jammies (and chocolate) :goodvibes

I know!!! Can't wait! The rooms look gorgeous. Also, the entire POR resort has been refurbed in the last year so it will be looking nice and fresh :) The lobby looks great :goodvibes

It's not the passionate views that bother me, people can have those and I fully support their right to express them, agreeing with my views or not. It's the vicious name-calling and insults that are making my blood boil. That's not expressing your views, that is attacking other people for their views, in an ignorant, cruel and hateful way. I already deleted one person last night who went on a half-hour, 20 post rant against people who voted for a certain candidate that was nothing but hateful, disgusting remarks.

I'll be nice and warm at home tonight with the light snow falling. :thumbsup2:goodvibes

Hence my second comment about realising whether the friendship is real or worth it. The hatred is just not acceptable  Some people huh, bitter to the core ;) I was actually 'de-friended' during this event because of my different views and I am always respectful. It didn't upset me, I just thought 'Wow, poor girl!'

I want snow ... just a little bit.
