Good morning all! I hope everyone gets out and votes today. Took me 30 minutes this morning with the line at my polling place, but I got it done! :thumbsup2

Still can't get a character meal at all, for any day I'm there. I'll keep trying and hoping someone cancels, but with 23 days until I'm there, it's looking less likely.

I scrapped my plans for the room decorations I was making last night and started new ones. Hoping I get them done tonight so I can post pics of them on here! They won't be as good as Tltorrez's I'm sure, but I like them so far! :rotfl:

Are you booking for 1 or 2 people? I recently scored a crystal palace ADR pre park opening.... I would keep trying and maybe try booking for 2....

Good morning! Slept in this morning as the schools are closed. Off to visit a friend in a bit .... she has a baby - yay yummy baby to play with .... that I can give back ::yes::

I can get CRT for dinner for 2 guests to come up on 11/29, but when I try to book it, the page keeps reloading to picking the right number of guests :confused3

What I have heard people do is book for 2 then call and change it to 1.

I was wondering how old is your DS? We have thought about doing Kids Nite Out, but weren't sure how DD7 (she turns 7 five days before our holiday) would react on her own to a new person in the hotel room. Sounds like your DS does great :) We have her scheduled at the Kids Club right now for our date night. But I completely see the logic and benefit of having her get to bed on time and getting some good sleep! :) I think I might look into Kids Nite Out.

My DS just turned 10 but we've been using a vacation sitter since he was 2. The first one was in Hawaii. We went to a Wine show during a couple of our days there and the sitter took him to the pool and the activity center. He loved it. I used one for a week in St. Pete when he was 3 or 4 and I as on a business trip. We get one every year in VA beach.

A lot of times they get there right before bed, so all they are doing is watching him sleep. But sometimes they'll do activities or feed him or whatever. Last year at the Dolphin I gave the sitter cash for both of them to eat QS. Most of the time they are college age girls and they're usually quite friendly. Our last one was an older woman that handled him really well through a bout of "I want Mom".

And what if you booked the 2nd person as an infant? It won't charge you and you could call dining and reduce it. For some reason the ADR system often doesn't understand a table of "1".

I'm probably telling you to commit ADR blasphemy! However to me a table for 1 is the same size as a table for 2....

I have a new question for everyone: What is the first attraction that you want to do/see on your first day (if it were up to you and not your travel companions)?

Haunted Mansion! I honestly think that if that was the only thing I could ride I'd still be happy, LOL!

I was just thinking of this randomly and...what is your least favorite ride at WDW? Meaning, something you've been on and will be quite happy to never ride again.

Stitch. What a waste of space. :crazy2:

So... I haven't looked at my trip plans in a couple weeks, which feels like madness! I just took a look now and the more I look the more I think we need to add hoppers to our tickets. I'm torn between adding them now or just doing it at the parks.

I would put the money aside now and do it in the parks... What if you don't hop? You can always just add them on when you are ready too...

Won't let me book it at all online, it keeps flipping me back to the main screen when I try. I called and was told that a 2 person table is different from a one person, so I can't book it unless I pay for 2 adults. I asked if I could call back and cancel one person after and she gave me a whole spiel about how they may not be able to keep my reservation then since different size tables are in different locations. :confused3

How is that possible? It's not like you are asking for a party of 4 then dropping it to one. I would think that a 1 person table is just a 2 person table with one setting. I'm not happy about this on your behalf!

:( I hear people complain about making solo ADRs and I honestly doubt there is a difference in tables. I know many go solo but it wouldn't make sense to have a table for one only - just not an effective use of square footage....

I'm calling back to talk to another CM to book it for 2 people, then cancelling to one later. I understand not having tables for one person, but allowing one person to sit at a 2 person table should be allowed! It's a $ thing I know, as that is one less person they get paid for, but it's ridiculous to not allow solo travellers to book a character meal!

I agree. I would go ahead and book for two and try to drop it down later. What's the worst that could happen? If you lose the table you're no worse off than you are now.

That's not cool. :(

I don't see the difference and I would say go for it. Consider it my treat! I'll be paying for a 3 yo who will most like eat her PBJ outside of the castle as opposed to the $35 dinner!! :lmao:
