This is a no-brainer for both my dh and me.......Mission Space! It took me a good 3-4 hours before I felt human again. This girl was green! It was 2004, though.....and I don't remember there being two different lines (orange and green is it)? I have no desire to ride that again.....and I can ride every single roller coaster at Cedar Point.....so I'm not necessarily a sissy!

Everyone is talking about how Mission Space makes them feel a little off. That is one ride that me and my BF will ride at least two or three times!

I can't rally think of any rides that I absolutely hate, although I know ky BF is never happy when I drag him in the CoP. LOL

Btw, has anybody here used in-room sitters at Disney World? We could leave them at the Beach Club but its a lot more reasonable for 3 kids to just get the in-room sitter for the night we adults are going on our IllumiNations cruise, plus we'd rather they were asleep by the time we get back. How far in advance do you have to set it up?

Yes, and ASAP. We use a sitter on every vacation to have at least on adults night out. We've used two different services at Disney. I have a slight preference to Kids Nite Out, but last time they were booked full. They recommend booking a month in advance. We ended up using All about Kids. They were fine too. This time I booked two months out fir our Friday night Epcot EMH just to be sure.

We always consider the Kids Clubs but I would much rather DS have the extra sleep. Our last night is another PM EmH at Epcot. If we decide to do a second night out, then we'll leave DS at AKL Kids Club. But that's assuming we're not all exhausted at that point.

Good morning everyone!
I voted this morning. Need to drive DD to a tennis lesson, DS has a dentist appointment, and I have a parent-teacher conference, all before lunch. Oh, and that work thing...

Let's see, our first ride/attraction... Normally we start off with MK, but it just made sense this trip to mix it up, so we'll be at DHS on arrival day, hopefully around 2:30. My guess is that we'll get a FP for RnRC and then hit the Muppets or something else my mom likes. Honestly, I don't really care what we do first, I'm just excited to be there :-)

Morning everyone.

I'm not even going to attempt to go back and sort through 18 pages of conversation. :lmao:

I was wondering how old is your DS? We have thought about doing Kids Nite Out, but weren't sure how DD7 (she turns 7 five days before our holiday) would react on her own to a new person in the hotel room. Sounds like your DS does great :) We have her scheduled at the Kids Club right now for our date night. But I completely see the logic and benefit of having her get to bed on time and getting some good sleep! :) I think I might look into Kids Nite Out.

On an...indulgent note..

I just realized that Biergarten has shots of apple liquor available..

Between the liters of beer, and the drinking around the world we'll be doing before and after our lunch reservation here, this is going to be quite the day. :thumbsup2

Glug... glug ... glug... Homey :drinking1

We usually have a "Drink around the world" day in Epcot.

We also usually start with Mexico and those amazing Margaritas.

We don't however, usually plan it around a lunch in Germany involving ridiculous amounts of beer. :lmao:

:thumbsup2 I hope everyone gets out there and votes today - no matter who it is for.

My polling place was down the block and around the corner this morning. So I'll vote after work. I have nothing really planned today, except voting and straightening up the apartment for the cleaning lady to get there tomorrow.

Not looking forward to the nor'easter that's headed our way tomorrow. I'll be in the office tomorrow and probably working from home on Thursday.

33 days until we leave!!!

We'll be at POR from the 28th until Jan. 2nd. Then DW has a conference off property but we'll still be going to Disney through the 5th.

Welcome!!!!

I think we might have mentioned this way back in Part 2 of the threads. We have the 4pm at Garden Grille and the 6:45pm candlelight processional. I really can't wait. :cool1:

I can't remember what I wore yesterday so 2 threads ago I'll never remember. lol, I blame 'mommy' brain. We have 330 Via Napoli and 645 CP. My DH is tall and thin, not sure if he'll have glasses or his contacts in, and had a goatee (of course I'll say that and he'll decide to shave it off, lol). I'm tall and have dark hair (for now), with glasses. I'll have a pink under armor backpack.

We also have Askershus that morning at 8:25. Gonna be a long day but DH loved Epcot last year so I'm sure we'll find plenty to do.

Our last trip was with 4 of the kids and we only ate Morocco as a ts, I think. I'm anticipating Le Cellier mushroom fillet as being my favorite, closely followed by "fill-in-the-blank" cupcakes.......many years ago I considered the snow cone things at the Japan pavillion as one of my favorites and get this.......about 20 years ago our hospital cafeteria had a Dole Whip self-serve machine!!!!! I did love that too!

At POR a king bed costs $25 more a night. I paid for that upgrade, which came to $175 extra :(

Welcome! WDW and Christmastime is a magical combination!

Friends of ours requested a king at POP but I don't remember her saying it cost extra. Guess I should ask.

Good morning all! I hope everyone gets out and votes today. Took me 30 minutes this morning with the line at my polling place, but I got it done! :thumbsup2

Still can't get a character meal at all, for any day I'm there. I'll keep trying and hoping someone cancels, but with 23 days until I'm there, it's looking less likely.

I scrapped my plans for the room decorations I was making last night and started new ones. Hoping I get them done tonight so I can post pics of them on here! They won't be as good as Tltorrez's I'm sure, but I like them so far! :rotfl:

It does not cost extra for a King at POP. Only some resorts charge extra, but POP is not one of them. They are not guaranteed at POP though, just a request. They are a booking option at the resorts that charge extra for them so then they are guaranteed (well, mostly). That's the trade off.

A King isn't something we need (we have a full at home) just thought it might be nice since its just the 2 of us. I do want to try an get a higher floor. I don't know. Maybe I'll just leave it up to fate, lol. I'm not picky with it just being us as far as location and DH doesn't care either way. 26 DAYS!!!!

On a side note - I wish the forecasters could get a handle on this possible nor'easter for tomorrow and Thursday. Some say we'll get It and some say it's going out to sea. Some say it will be an inch or two of rain and some say it will be 4 inches of snow. Ahhhhh!!!

Mid 70's is typical for down here, but you really feel the chill in the evening because it drops by up to 40 degrees

Mid 70's is kinda chilly for me, I certainly won't be wearing shorts haha

The high here in KC yesterday was about 41 :( By the middle of December it'll be teens to 20s at night at mid 30s to mid 40s in the day most of the time. So, mid-70s in Florida will DEFINITELY be shorts weather for us! Now, I'll definitely bring jeans or cords for the evenings, but wearing those during the day if it's 75 would be miserable for us!

I'd be happy to pay extra for a guaranteed King bed. We booked BWI and put in the request. With DBF's size we really need the King. When we would sleep in the queen at my apartment it was always a tight squeeze.

I guess I'll suggest we don't do Online check in just to be sure we have a better chance of getting the King.

Same here in PA. I'll be so ecstatic if it's 70!! I'm packing shorts/skirts and a sweater for at night. Will probably bring jeans but hopefully they'll stay in my suitcase

I know how you feel about the nor-easter, we are in the same boat here in MD. Rain, snow, mix, nothing....no one seems to know.

The high here today is the 40s. Normal highs are low 60s here this time of year. Not liking this cold snap at al. I can't wait to be in Florida in a few weeks.
