I was just thinking of this randomly and...what is your least favorite ride at WDW? Meaning, something you've been on and will be quite happy to never ride again.

Mine is the Winnie the Pooh ride at MK. When I rode it last year, I couldn't believe how jerky and weird and disjointed it was. I was so happy to get off, even thought it's only a super short ride. :rotfl2:

Honorable mention goes to Primeval Whirl, which is also jerky.

Unfortunately, my partner likes it, so we'll be going on it again this year. (And will also be riding Test Track and Mission: Space multiple times.)

Mission: SPACE. Hands down. I went on in 2009 on the Orange side and I felt "off" for 2 days after. DH was the same way...

I despise stitch ride and its not a ride but DH loves it so much we do it several times during our trips so I'm sick of it Monster Inc Laugh Floor! Lol

Mission: Space :( I was so sick after riding it that the rest of the day was no fun. I don't think I'll ever go on it again.

Hmmm...maybe I need to try this route with DH. :rotfl2:

Stitch!!!!!! DH loved Alien Encounter. I dont really remember it. Not impressed with Stitch and will be skipping it this year.

A friend's husband was enamored with Merida during their trip this past summer. Maybe you can convince DH some character meets would be right up his alley!

Princess Aurora--You arent allowed to change your avatar. It is throwing me off. Who is this person responding??? :rotfl2:

I forgot to tell you guys!! I made a calendar with pics from last year and I had forgotten to turn the page to November until this weekend. November is the Osborne Lights. DH saw it and said "those were the most amazing thing. We'll have to go 2 nights to see them this year". So at least he is excited about something!!

I am really looking forward to the Osborne lights. Don't know how well known the backstory is but Jennings Osborne was a Little Rock businessman/philanthropist and owned a considerably sized mansion on a very busy LR street. He also owned smaller homes on either side of the mansion and started off with simple decorations after his daughter Breezy asked him to decorate. Over the years, the amount of decorations grew, as did the traffic to see the decoration. Some neighbors, upset over the congestion, filed suit against him to enjoin the decorations. The case made it all the way to the state Supreme Court (where I now work but back then I was just a lowly law student) which sided with the neighbors and permanently enjoined the decorations. After that Jennings found a home for his decorations at DHS, so I guess ultimately it turned out to be a good thing because now millions get to enjoy the lights! On a sad note, Jennings passed away over a year ago and his family was left with significant debt that forced them to auction off most of his possessions and several of his homes. His wife Mitzi and their daughter Breezy have been very strong throughout the ordeal and I admire them for that.

For me, it's gotta be Stitch's Escape. Which is really a shame, because I loved ExtraTERRORestrial.

The one thing my whole family can agree on is that we do not like Stitch's Escape!

I looked at weather.com for next month. They are saying mid-70's. I'm going to pull out the shorts! Yes, I'll need a hoodie at night but OMG that's so warm in December!

I hope that is the kind of weather we will have. I keep thinking about that unseasonably cold winter they had a couple of years ago. I am not a fan of freezing weather or bundling up!

Mine would be Stitch's Great Escape. WORST "ride" (if you can even call it that) EVER.

Honorable mention would be It's Tough to be a Bug. I don't like bugs in real life. I don't need to go watch 3D ones on my vacation!

I'm really looking fwd to Osborne lights as well ive never seen them! I'm also looking fwd to Candle Light P! Oh and new fantasyland and BOG and splitsville ok I better stop or I could go on forever

The evening that my partner went to see the Orsborne Lights, it was raining a bit, so folks were sort of clustered together under various things. Not the best way to view them. Ha! I'm hoping we have better luck this year.

Aack!!! I had NOT planned on it being quite THAT warm. Guess I better go pull a couple pairs of shorts out of the pile of summer clothes that I need to relocate to the basement.

Umm.........in the increasingly likely event that I end up packing so much stuff sissy and I have to check our bags does anyone know if I can slap the ME luggage tags on it for Disney to pick up from baggage claim and deliver even though we're renting a car? I haven't actually gotten around to calling and cancelling ME on our reservation, so I'm assuming we'll get the luggage tags in the mail???

Hmm.......might need to order a few more t-shirts from the Disney Store to wear if it's too warm to wear the thermals during the day :rolleyes1

Hmm...good question.

I loved my whole breakfast at 'Ohana, but if we're talking individually, it would either be the Southwest Black Bean Flatbread (RIP) at Electric Umbrella or the sweet potato fries that I got with my veggie burger at Sci-Fi.

I'll check again the week before but it's looking warmer than I thought it would be.

If we're talking "real" food, the salad we had with dinner at Garden Grill was absolutely to die for.

If we're talking "bad-for-you" food, it would be a tie between my beloved Mickey Ice Cream Bar (is it even a trip to Disney without at least one Mickey bar?) and the ever so delicious Dole Whip Float. Oh, and those SR cupcakes are to die for too! Can you tell I'm more excited about our snack credits than any of our actual meals :goodvibes

What a productive day!!! Just finished making most of our dining ressies...still holding out hope for O'hana but, so far NOTHING...for any meal, on any day. Here is what I did get:

Sun 12/9: Whispering Canyon Cafe 1:05pm
Mon 12/10: Nothing...yet. We're spending the day at MK...hoping for O'hana
Tues 12/11: Nothing...yet. We're spending the day at AK; then MVMCP.
Wed 12/12: Mama Melrose's 3:35pm
Thurs 12/13: Sci Fi Diner 12:15pm
Fri 12/14: San Angel Inn 1:00pm; Rose and Crown or France bakery late night
Sat 12/15: The Crystal Palace 2:20pm

SO excited, especially for CP...however, I had to put a credit card number in and I have no idea how much the lunch buffet is per person.
Also, I want to make Mama Melrose's a Fantasmic package...not sure how to do that??

Pat - if you made ANY special requests for you resort I wouldn't do online check in, if you do a computer will designate your room instead if the room assigner who will look for special requests..

Something I learned as a TA myself today..

Yes, I was told that by another DISer (who happens to work on the Front Desk at Poly) - I have a few special requests on our rooms and I was told not to do online check-in as I would lose those.

Yaaaaay! :) when is she looking to go?

She wants to see the Christmas decorations so, sometime in December :goodvibes

On another sidenote - on another side note on a short treadmill break - and while I am exercising watching Once Upon A Time on Netflix - ugh i am so in love with Ginnifer goodwins hair.... It's a big debate for this thursdays haircut - I almost did it last spring (but mentioned as soon as I seemed settled on it a friend got the same type of haircut) However, I also do not want to be learning a new style for vacation....

*chants* DO IT ~ DO IT ~ DO IT ~ DO IT :teeth: You could so carry that off!

That said, IASW is definitely a once-a-trip ride for me. Ha!

HA! Not my fav either .... it freaks me out. I start imagining getting stuck, then the ride closing and then, all the power goes out .... all those dolls, just still & quiet, staring & staring & staring ..... I can't get out, I need to get out because those dolls are soooooooo going to murder me  *cue creepy horror music*

Do you guys know if having requested connecting rooms counts as a "special request"? I was going to do online check in, but I won't do it if we might jeopardize that. We have one room and my inlaws have another, and we really are hoping for connecting so we can put the kids to bed in one and hang out in the other at night. The request is already on our reservation.

Favorite food, would have to be breakfast food at Kona Cafe. Can't go wrong there.

BUT... If I could compose my perfect meal, it would be as follows:

Soup: Cheddar soup (with pretzel bread), Le Cellier
Appetizer: Crawfish bites, Boatwright's (Port Orleans)
Entree: N.Y. Strip, Le Cellier (I hope they bring back the K.C. coffee rub strip for BDLsgal)
Dessert: 2 handfuls of anything at Karamelle Kuche'

All while having ice cold Budweisers.

Mmmmmmmmmmmmm...

Disney will always try, room availability permitting, to put you in rooms next to one another. When you do online check-in, you can make that request there :) The reason why I have put in requests early is because I need a disabled-friendly room for my Mum (one with a roll-in shower) and there are only 6 rooms total in the POR Royal Guest rooms :)

Geez...11 pages already! :scratchin

Subbing and ONLY 27 more days till we arrive at the BC for the first time!

Running to keep up on this thread again. Has anyone called and gotten the $20 back from the price change for pp+? And I'm at 24 days! I'd better speed up my invites etc if I want to finish. It feels surreal to be so close after planing this trip more than a year.

I called and requested it last week, the girl said I should see it in 3-5 business days
