I have officially reached the point in my countdown where I'm too excited to sleep. Laying there in bed last night, I could barely stop myself from thinking about all the fantastic things that are in store for me in barely over two weeks!! :hourglass

This morning I checked the long range forecast. I know those things change from day to day, but I was thrilled with how it is right now! Looks like shorts and tshirts for us after all. You know, they'll probably be wrong about a lot of it - but just the fact that we're close enough to see any kind of weather predictions got me all excited - especially since they work out so well for me.

Good luck on that day! I want the to be perfect for all our trips! :beach:

Please don't worry about the weather just yet. I live in South Florida and have been LOVING the weather this past month.

Just plan for a mixture of sun, cool weather (sweaters and such) and light rain. It's not humidity season, so the rains aren't really torrential like they are other times of the year. More of a drizzle etc. Keep tabs on the weather right before you go, so you know if you need a warmer coat etc.

It's been beautiful here the last few weeks, even with an occasional rain shower. If you come from snow and sleet, this will be a VAST improvement. Trust. :beach:

See, I'd totally be worry free if I did come from a place of true winterland... but here in TX, at least central/south TX, it's so beautiful this time of year... I think it's in the 80's right now and we hardly see rain so going to FL and getting more winter-ish weather there would be kinda suck-ish... But the flip side is we're at WDW and there's always something that can take your focus off of the weather. :thumbsup2

Just checking in with everyone...too busy with work to post but, lurking daily...hourly, actually! We're getting so close! 19 days here!!! Day off today...need to book doggie daycare, MVMCP tickets, Photopass, look for a new suitcase, stop by TJMaxx to buy Burberry weekend...the perfume I paid $85 in England at Epcot that I found for $24.99 at TJMaxx...it will forever remind me of WDW so, I must restock! The Christmas music is on 24 hours/day...it's a great day! :cloud9:
PS. All of the horrible secret keepers in my house, including DBF have spilled the beans about a midnight proposal on 12/12/12, at MVMCP!!! Shhhh...I'm not supposed to know this!:love::love:

Congratulations!!! :thumbsup2

Don't worry. We won't tell anyone. And if I happen to bump into you, I will look everywhere BUT your left hand.

Just a week and a day away for us! ASMu 11/28-12/3!!:cool1:

Hey guys I would love to join, last min. trip Nov 30- Dec 4th. Still trying to get Sat at AKV or else I am going to throw in the towel and book doubletree. Never stayed at doubletree but the reviews are great. AKV is my second home I love it! Cast ....Me, DH, DIL ( :worship:whose is carrying my first grandbaby!!!!) yes I am excited:rotfl2: DD and SIL, he has not been since he was 5 and after my DD begged him to go still says "but I won't have fun" we will see about that:rotfl: None of them have been at Christmas so I am excited to show them around. My DS is a Marine and deployed to Afgahnistan right now so we are spoiling our DIL as much as we can since this is a very emotional time for her (and us). Just saw that someone posted the weather which affects part of our trip.... all rain:confused3 hope that changes.

Before we know it, one by one we will all be embarking on our trip .... after all the planning, tweaking and stressing it will be the big moment!!!

I have two neighbors who can't make pumpkin pie. I thought that was the law as an American :confused3 :p

I think pumpkin pie is probably the easiest pie to make! You might need to check their birth certificate to verify citizenship. :rotfl:

My step mom has the most spectacular pumpkin pie recipe ever. We stumbled upon it one year baking together, and I think we ate an entire pie between just the two of us. I'll have to post it if I can get her to give it to me for those interested. It's a little different in that it has a candied pecan strussel topping.

It's spectacular.

I am going to make this one tomorrow.....I mentioned it to hubby and he's all iffy just because he likes my pumpkin pie...but shoot, it's just a topping and it's sure to make it better :)

I wish we had a TJMaxx around here. I'm still looking for the perfect perfume. I just wear Bath & Body spray combined with shower gel. I love White Citrus but my favorite is White Tea and Ginger.....but I can't find that one anymore :(

Once people return, I volunteer to start a Roll Call TR in the TR section so we can do features. We can also do teasers to our full TRs for people who are doing TRs. And more polls etc. What say you all?

I have always used those pockets and never had a problem, holding both KTTW and TIW and FPs etc.

Good news on the pouches. I'm off to make yet ANOTHER WDW purchase. :lmao:Oh, and I'm all in for the Roll Call TR. I may try and do a *big girl* TR but I'm such a procrastinator ;)

somewhat of a newbie here!!!!!!!!!!!!!! We leave in 20 days!!!!!! Can I play/join in on the fun :D

Welcome! Jump on in.....the water is fine :)

I've been laying in bed at night and having semi freak-out moments too! I'm just so excited....finding it difficult to get through the day without daydreaming!

Rain
73/58

I'm not digging the rain but the temps are even higher than I expected! Thursday was supposed to be our CP day but I moved that to Monday. I expect we'll get a lot of Epcot done on that evening, all day WEdnesday, then the morning of the 13th. It'll all work out.....which reminds me, I HAVE to get to the $$$ Store for rain ponchos!

Yep! This is the first year in a while that I'm not cooking. I finally get a chance to sit down with DH and DS and watch the Macy's parade!

Hubby told me he read on the Universal Orlando website that some of the
floats/balloons from the Macy parade come to Universal. Can anyone confirm to deny this?

I hope you give it a try! This recipe is from the 40's (it originally used lard, LOL!)Most people just kind of tolerate pie crust because it holds the pie, so a good crust is a real treat. I hate making pie crusts, it's the part of Thanksgiving I just dread because of the rolling-out part (actually, I make the pies Wednesday so my mood has improved by Thursday). So you know this is good crust if I'm willing to do it!

Oh! Looks like my arrival day is your last day- and it's rainy- but I'm SO excited to even see it on the forecast! I've been really blech (no, you won't find that particular mood listed in the DSM-IV but I swear it's real!) about the whole thing since I have quite a lot of non-Disney things to do between now and then, but seeing that cheered me up considerably.

Anyway, the forecast is fine for my new Merrell MJ Circuits I bought since they will be all right in the rain- AND Zappos had them on sale! :thumbsup2

And- a question for you smartphone-owning DIS-ers- besides the TP Lines app, what kinds of Disney apps do you like to use at WDW? I broke down and got a smartphone and it seems like there would be some really great uses for it. Anything else? Thanks!

I think the maps on my iPhone will come in handy as well......I hate to roll out pie crust but I'm willing to try yours (and have a beer in the process) ;) My new Skechers look VERY similar to your new Merrells. I love them, they are so cute....but the top of the shoe rubs on the top of my foot. I bought some moleskin to hopefully alleviate any discomfort.

The 13th is our CP day. I hope they're wrong about that day! The rest looks good!

That was ours too, before I moved it to earlier in the week.

Just a week and a day away for us! ASMu 11/28-12/3!!:cool1:

Yeah! And welcome!

Totally awesome!! I hope you enjoy the moment (and I hope someone else records it!!)

Good morning Roll-Callers. Still over 20 days till Disney for me. :headache: does anyone else listen to some Disney podcasts? I'm listening to WDW Today's recent episode about holiday dining (and have the DFB holiday podcast queued up).

I like WDW Radio and Capturing Magic. Be Our Guest is ok.

WElcome to the group! I hope your DIL has a fabulous time. I'm sure being in this magical place will help divert her attentions, if even for a bit.

ONLINE CHECK-IN .... ITS REALLY HAPPENING!!!:cool1:

Cool!

Realized I will be able to check-in before I know what rooms we're checking into. Ack!

My wife and I are so very envious of you all! We can not vacation at WDW this Christmas--- first time in three years. Both of us have had surgery and are not fully recovered yet. We are beginning to plan a December, 2013, trip and will get on-line to make reservations on Dec 25th as a gift to each other. Anyone have experience eating at WDW after gastric bypass surgery? We enjoy table service restaurants like Tony's in MK, Yak and Yeti in AK, Hollywood Brown Derby in HS, and, of course, Le Cellier in Epcot. Will they let two adults share a meal since we can only eat small portions? Can gastric bypass patients order from kids menus at places that have them? Any experience/advice will be appreciated since eating a leisurely meal is a must for us at WDW.

Will be celebrating but hopefully not coming home with the souvenir! Yesterday, dd7 told me she really wanted a baby brother. Then she quickly added that I was too old to have another baby. I told her I wasn't too old but I was definitely too tired! :rotfl2:

I've got WDWQuest for characters and iSorcerers for SOTMK.

Now that is something to really look forward to! I have read many trip reports where people shared table services so I'm sure it's allowed......i can't speak of the eating off the child's menu, though. That is something I would think you would need to ask someone specifically at WDW dining.

Is SOTMK a card game? Hubby is interested in this and I've not paid attention to the specifics!
