We're BAAAACCCKKK!

But we're already planning our next trip (hopefully, early Jan 2014).

One thing I was disappointed in: It seems, to me, they've scaled back on the X-mas/holiday decorations this year..especially at the resorts (and even, I think, some in the parks). The resort decorations, except for the individual trees (and even a bit there), seemed generic and relatively sparse this year. The exception was the Grand Floridian (because the Gingerbread house is the showstopper).

Welcome Back! We're contemplating going back in 2014 as well (if we can).

ITA with you on the decorations. They did seem kind of scaled back. We thought there would be more. In some spots (like over at Epcot), it didn't even feel like the holiday season as there were no decorations.

Here's a question for you. I was emailed that my PhotoPass+ CD has been shipped (we upgraded from the attractions+ card to PhotoPass+ at DHS). The person I spoke with on the phone said they will send out the CD and she will email me the promo code. So my question is this: is the CD blank for us to transfer our pictures off the site onto it? If not, how does this work ?

You get a stock photo CD and the photopass code was included with ours on that shipment.

When did the monorail break down? Our last day riding was 12/08. We also went to see the GH, 12/06 and there was hardly anyone else there. Just wondering if we were there at the same time aprox?

It was on 12/11 around 12.30

I am sooooo freaking out. We haven't been to Disney World in 14yrs..so this will be like our first time. First time..busiest week of the year..lol..yup we are nuts Just really hoping I understand the FP and hope we get around ok since we don't know where everything is. This is our one and only WDW trip..just want everything to go as good as possible..

Hmmmmmm.

So I haven't really shared any of my trip with you guys yet ..... I'm in this surreal place at the moment, like, if I share my thoughts, it will be like pouring water down the sink - it will just run away ..... I'm having one on one time with my thoughts, possibly fighting off the Disney Downer.

Oops, that was a typo! It's the 27th, not 28th. I'm scheduled 12/22, 12/23, 12/26, and 12/27. I have off/play days on the 21st, 24th,25th, and 28th.

We got a majority of our packing done today! I am so excited!

I can't believe that our magical trip is over and we are back home! But what a trip it was! I was a little disappointed that I didn't run into any DISers while we were there, but I knew y'all were there somewhere!! I am happy to report that we didn't have any problems while we were there. The trip went off without a hitch from beginning to end!

The week we got back was rather hectic and stressful. My Mom was rushed to the hospital 3 days after we got back. My family lives in Texas and I'm in Alabama. She has pulmonary fibrosis, which is a terminal lung disease. I was set to take off to Texas the minute my Dad said the word! I am happy to report, though, that she came home Friday and is continuing to improve. We may never know what caused this episode.

DH and I are already planning our next trip. We'll probably go in January or February of 2014. We'll camp at Fort Wilderness! I hope those of you already there or in the process of leaving have a very magical trip! And I hope all of you have a very Merry Christmas and Happy New Year!!

We leave Friday night after work! We should get to the Polynesian around 10:30pm and hope to get over to Epcot since it is open until 12:30am!
This is our first trip away for Christmas and I couldn't think of a better place to go!

The ticker doesn't recognize your trip as being over, it is counting down to the date you left but in 2013 instead of 2012. You will have to go to "edit my signature" and delete the ticker. Or start a new one for your next trip

I can't believe we are leaving on Friday Lots to do before then...I got our clue cards made and wrapped (each child opens one on Friday after school), my car bag is packed and I have some clothes ready. I will get a ton done Friday as I am off work and can pack when the kids are at school. At first my principal said I could not have Friday off, then yesterday he said he forgot to tell me the request for a day off was approved That will help a ton- I like to have the house really clean before a trip so I can get some of that done too and last minute errands (Dog to kennel, last minute Target, etc). I have let the surprise almost slip a few times- I am really excited to tell the kids in three days

I can't wait to hear how the kids react! Take a video! Keeping the secret is hard, but the pay off is totally worth it!

Me too! I kept a secret trip from DD for a few months once and then told her 2 weeks before because I wanted her to be excited with me I keep saying one time I'm going to make it to the end, wake her up and say "we're going to WDW today!"

Four days four days!! Luckily Im off on Friday so I can do any last minute stuff since we leave VERY early Saturday morning.

We decided to drop the dog off at the puppy hotel early on Friday so we dont have to worry about him Saturday morning as we head to the airport.

THe weather is looking good and we will probably just do jeans and some lightweight ls shirts (which is my favorite way to dress anyways).

Awwww!! I feel the same - I just kinda want to go back. However PP CD and Xmas cards are supposed to be here Thursday! I really want to make photobooks. I am also glad the holidays have me pretty busy to keep away the PDD...

We are planning on Jan 14 as well - going to try for the beginning of the month and maybe catch a few decorations....

We were at the GF that night...and needed to get to the Poly for Ohana's. Took the walkway...which was actually a nice walk (we didn't even know it was there!).

Can't remember which night it was...Monday the 10th,maybe?

The CD they send with the code actually contains a ton of "stock" photos from the resorts and theme parks. Some pretty cool shots!

Then, when you get back, you'll order ANOTHER CD (or download) with all the pics they take of your and put on your photopass(es).
