Our first ADR of the trip is dinner at R&C. TOTALLY have to order that pudding now :goodvibes

Sticky toffee pudding was amazing! I had heard it hyped up so much I was worried but it was completely delish!

I know you liked that one! It was my BIL's favorite too. It is the one that makes me nervous for DH. He would like the short ribs and chocken, just not sure about the sauces. i think I would love it. And I have no mornings in MK, so if we get done with AK on Saturday, we might go to MK on Monday (the day of Sanaa reservation), instead of AK. :confused3

Well I guess we'll have to plan another trip if you can not make it! ;) if you can get to AKL and explore I would try- its such a neat resort!

DH has agreed to go to AKL and WL whether we eat there or not, so I am holding him to that. We saw the monorail resorts last year, so I would like to see the Epcot resorts, but we'll see what happens.

Another question--do we tip the ME driver? Can you tell this part is stressing me out? :rotfl:

There is a sign over their name that says tipping is allowed for exceptional service. I have for a great driver and haven't for a not-so-great one (never had a bad one, just didn't really interact at all). From what I've seen most people don't.

Well..we have 6 days until we leave. I have NO idea what to pack..the weather changes every day..lol. Haven't started to pack..just copied and took cell phone pics of all our tickets. This time next week..we should be in Florida!!!!!! :cool1::dance3:

Phew! Well, I'm kinda of in this really weird place at the moment. Just been immersed in the most magical world for a week totally shut off from the outside world .... now I am sitting at home, everything is exactly the same as I left it, like time had stopped .... the room is silent and all I can hear is the tick tock of the clock .... I feel almost like Alice in Wonderland *sigh*

Anyway, I need to put together some kind of trip report when my head is ready but for now, if you have any questions just ask! I stayed at POR Royal Guest room; delux dining plan; ate at CRT, BOG, LLT, Peco Bills, Hollywood Brown Derby, 50's Prime Time, R&C, Biergarten, Via Napoli, Tucker House; Saw the Gingerbread House and found that the GF is a resort I would definitely not stay at; did MVMCP, Candlelight Processional, Osbourne Lights & La Nouba so ask away about any of the above :goodvibes

So we loved the Xmas decor at GF... However why wouldn't you stay at GF? We don't have the desire either- even with DVC in the works....

I'd always wanted to stay as I love the Victorian/Edwardian period (makes me think of Titanic ... Jack & Rose :goodvibes :rotfl:) and all that fluff is part of my background, I'm British :p so I was excited to go.

But I found the CMs very 'stiff' ... now that may be part of their "character" what with the period etc (I dunno :confused3), but one thing I love about WDW is the warmness of resort CMs and I just didn't get that warm feeling there.

That's one resort where I always feel out of place and under dressed! Love the gingerbread house though! We managed to go see all the different gingerbread displays, and this was one of the best. Although, I'm partial to the one with a big Stitch on the roof! :)

So excited for you. You really deserve this trip after all the to-ing & fro-ing. Have an awesome time!

Thanks! I am just a wee bit excited! :cheer2:

Sitting at the airport gate now. The suitcase that Dh was so sure was overweight was only 37 pounds!! I could have stuffed more in it. :rotfl2:

I fell in love with the GF the minute my mom and I walked in for our afternoon tea. The CM's at the Gardenview Tea Room were so friendly. I would love to stay there, but DS said he didn't like it.

We didn't feel under-dressed at all there. The only time I did was in the YC. As much as I love the outside, the inside made me feel like I was in a very :snooty: high class hotel. When I went to my spa appointment, I saw more guests dressed in suits than in plain clothes. I don't know if there was a business conference there or not, but it made me feel like I just didn't belong.

Thanks!! :thumbsup2

I thought ours were over as well. When it was weighed at the airport it was only about 24-28 pounds.

Enjoy your trip!

I was so busy yesterday I never had a chance to even read any posts. Woke the girls up this morning and told them I couldn't find Zippy (our Elf on the Shelf). He was waiting for them atop their Barbie dream house with Disney balloons and a sign telling them they were going to Disney. They didn't believe it at first, but then started screaming with excitement. After the events of yesterday, it made the moment that much more meaningful.

So, we are currently sitting on the plane, delayed, because one of the seats has to be repaired. It's not looking great for making our connection in St. Louis. (Insert exploding head icon here). But, sooner or later we will make it to the happiest place on Earth.

Does anyone know if I need to notify ME if we are delayed and give them our new flight info?

Yay! A wonderfully played surprise!

I hope the bumps of travel are smoothed out so you can get to WDW as quickly as possible :-)
Have a fantastic trip! :cheer2:
