Parley....Will That Get Me On The Ship Any Faster part 2

So glad this worked out for you guys - I know you'll enjoy it! :thumbsup2

You'll have your own server and plenty of time to chow down.

That sounds good to me (I'm allowed to be a Pounder and a Pooper, right? :confused3)

I believe I'll be needing a Konk Kooler by then :drinking1

I plan on trying to do both, depending on what time our Stingray thing is.

This Konk Kooler sounds wonderful!!

Thanks for the info, Ben. I DID get your PM, but doesn't look like you got my reply. This PM thing has not been working well for me lately. Luckily, you answered both my questions in the info you posted below. I was wondering which cabins the kids were going to be in so that I can get the cabin numbers correct on my FE gifts. Also, was just verifying Jim's Disney character choice. I'm not judging; just wanted to make sure you didn't mix up Jim and Vicky's characters! Ha! Truth be told, I think a lot of guys have a thing for Tink. She's hot, in a tiny, attitudinal, short-skirt kind of way!

***sits back and waits for Dawg's response***

P.S. I notice you didn't pass judgment on the grandparents' looks!

Tanner and Brayden are in room 2071 and Nikia and Mackenzie are in room 2073 with the grandparents. I must tell everyone if you hear bedstemor (mor or Bedstefar (far) form our kids it is danish for grandmother and grandfather

I am pretty sure Disney makes their female characters right in the middle of young children think they are neat and pretty where men think hubba hubba.

Dad's favorite is TInk and mom Pinocchio. I can't get the nerve to ask dad why tink is his favorite as i fear for the answer. but I think you hit the nail on the head.

We just started packing yesterday.
DW made a cool/fumy chart of the family with days and outfits on poster board. She was not happy when I said I could have packed in the same amount of time it took her to make the chart.

I will be running the 5k. Hopefully I can talk my daughter into it. If not I will be running for time even though it is not timed, I/m kinda competitive like that.

Are we bringing our treats to the smoothie meet. i am pretty sure that is what I read.

Busy every night this week and out of town this weekend. Still need haircuts for me and the boys. Who knows how to add some extra time into the day?

Oh yeah Halloween costumes are done. Got one thing done. Hooray for me!

If you mean the chocolate etc. then we are bringing those to the 'All Aboard' meet in the Promenade Lounge at 3pm on the first day :)

very interesting... Does 'Bedste' mean father or mother? I'm taking a SWAG at it because my mother grew up in Norway and they have Mormor and Parmor for mother's mother and father's mother...

Whew glad someone asked... That means we should keep the 'goodies' in our carry-on luggage... As I've fund that trying to dig something out of your checked baggage that early is a pain. :wizard:

Bedste= Best Mor= Mother Far= Father
We are Norwegian also and I think it is very similar.

I have mailed our goodies to DCL, so with fingers crossed it will be in our room when we board the ship.

is it wrong that i like Tinks red "Santas Little Helper" dress?:santa::santa::cloud9::love:

Just looking at the list of meets on the first page and realised we don't have a time for the Parley Pavement Poopers meet at the Conched Out Bar, for those who aren't energetic enough to run the 5K (and those who are and might be in need of alcoholic sustenance) ;) Shall we say 2pm? That should give everyone a chance to sunbathe and have some lunch - it will definitely be 5 o'clock somewhere by then :thumbsup2

Becky, can you update the first post please?

done. If you all can think of anything else please let me know by Friday as I leave Saturday :woohoo:

Absolutely :thumbsup2 IIRC, they usually have the 2 for 1 offer on around that time too ;)

I plan on trying to do both, depending on what time our Stingray thing is.

Yeah!!! :drinking1

I'm doing the 5K and I'm just a beginner training for the Princess Half. You will probably pass me when you are on the way back :lmao: But you gotta start somewhere :thumbsup2

Yes!!! I'm really looking forward to this meet :grouphug:

It depends. What do you 'like' about it? :confused3

We are going to MNSSHP on friday night nite before the cruise. purchased tickets & Printed online. Can anyone give me an idea how crowded it wil be.

I'm a newcomer to this thread (well, joined several months back, but life got busy!). I was looking at the meets on the first page and then saw a comment in a post about bringing goodies to the first day meet on the ship? What kind of goodies shall we bring?

I have a 10-yr-old daughter, and she is hoping to make some friends on this cruise. She is very outgoing, but for some reason didn't bond with anyone on our last cruise 3 years ago. Hoping by meeting up with this group we can get her introduced to some of the kids!

Welcome - the bringing 'goodies' started when we offered to bring some chocolate from the UK and, as far as I understand it, some people are bringing stuff which is 'native' to their local area. Please don't feel like you have to bring something though, we will be plenty happy to have you there without :)

We have three kids in our party - two boys, aged 8 and 10 and a girl aged 13. They are looking forward to meeting the other kids on this cruise and I'm fairly sure there are lots of other kids around their age coming so your DD will have plenty of opportunity to make some new friends.

Unless I’m missing something, I don’t think everyone is bringing goodies newcomer. Some Parleyers have treats planned that are indigenous to them so they decided to bring some along to share. Since Wisconsin cheese won’t hold up in the Florida weather too well, we are coming empty handed. Unless, of course, you consider our smiles and presence as good enough. :)

Will someone correct me if I'm wrong please? :confused3

Oops, sorry, didn't see your post before. I'm not entirely sure how busy it will be - as it's a Friday night, I'd say it will probably be busier than the mid-week parties but should be manageable. We love MNSSHP - hope you guys have a blast :thumbsup2

I do believe you're correct!:thumbsup2

Let's see, the 5K is at 9:30 so last ones in (those of us who walk it) should be done in 45 minutes. We'll be at the bar at 10:15. :cool1: It's 5 oclock somewhere.:lmao:

I'm impressed by all of you who are already packed. I'm packing Friday, toss out the clothes and then divide by half. We always pack too much!:confused3

done. If you all can think of anything else please let me know by Friday as I leave Saturday :woohoo:

Go ahead, rub it in!
:)
Yeah!!! :drinking1

Well I have now run 4 half-marathons this year, and am training for a full, but I am not fast either :) Plus, with amount of "good time" I plan on having on this cruise, I am not sure what condition I expect to be in that morning!

Welcome back, like the others said, your presence is enough. I am pretty sure that is what we are going to bring, unless I just see something that makes sense. I have found in my experience that meeting up at the beginning definitely helps the bonding process, for adults and for children!

And this group looks fantastic :thumbsup2
