Parley....Will That Get Me On The Ship Any Faster part 2

Can I join the "bad-mommy" club?
Two weeks until cruise date and either my teenaged daughter is trying to make me feel bad for leaving them at home with grandparents or I truly do feel guilty for going without them. Please assure me that I will forget all about them and their crazy schedules once I step foot on the Magic.

Yes, Sharon you will forget about the teenagers and their schedules once you are on the Magic. I can speak from experience. We left 3 at home last year and had a perfectly peaceful time until we got off the boat and turned on our cell phones. Do not feel guilty about leaving them. You need the break away from them. Time to rejuvenate the batteries so that you can better deal with them. Otherwise "Momma won't be happy and if Momma ain't happy nobody else will be either."

I'm packing right now. We had it to where each of us had a bag, but I told Sean I wanted to take the packing cubes and put outfits for each person in each bag, that way if one gets lost we have clothes.

A smart plan!

10% packed. It's a start. :confused3

How's everyone else's vacation prepping going? popcorn::

I'd have to say we're at 90%. All clothes are packed and toiletries. We just have to do the last minute things now. ie: credit cards, docs, passports, mnsshp tickets....that kind of stuff. I guess, all paperwork still needs to be organized. :)

We left ours in 2005 for our first cruise and I remember them saying "Man, I can't believe they are really going without us". My son actually thought we were surprising them somehow and taking them along. LOL!!:goodvibes They were fine and we had an awesome time on our vacation. Heck, it was so nice, we're doing it again this time, although the kids are now 30 and 27. :rotfl:

We are about 10% packed also:cool2::cool2::cool2:

Today our washing machine started on fire so that took all our day cleaning up and going back and forth to laundry mat :scared1: :scared1: :scared1:
Water all over the basement because of course it had just filled up :mad::mad:

We so need this vacation... Just no more bad stuff :sad1::sad2::sad1::sad2:

YIKES!! Hope everything is ok.

My goodness Girls. You really are organised. I have stuff on the spare bed, but nothing packed. Gonna do it this weekend.

Why can't the packing Fairy's come to my house? I really need to get packing, but it is to nice outside to stay in here.

I always do that as well. I learned the hard way one year....!

And...I never used to take a carry on bag. I figured it was such a hassle to get it up into the overheard bin (I am 4'9"). BUT---I was so glad I did last year on our WDW trip.
We had an incident in the airport--before we even left San Francisco, and we needed clothing very quickly. Thank GOODNESS I had that carry on!

Today--I worked on getting items actually off the guest bedroom bed (well, ok--it's the college daughter's bedroom...but I have taken it over while she is gone!) and put them INTO the suitcases. That was trying. I now have a headache.
I am the world's worst packer.

Raining here in the SF Bay Area today---after a lovely Indian Summer weekend (with the Blue Angels and Fleet Week on the SF Bay). I need the Caribbean weather...

I am mostly packed and have my little boys packed. We are leaving in 5 days so I better crack the whip for Nate and my teenager!

I have to consider next vacation to book not so close to Thanksgiving! After too many turkey dinners and WAY too many pieces of pie I've gained 5lbs over the weekend!:scared1: So I'm hoping that everything that I've packed will not be too tight... I'm really going to have to watch it at WDW:headache:

Don't worry....you'll be walking it off!! :rotfl:

Drizzle here in the valley. My hubby watched the Blue Angels from the top of the jail Saturday afternoon.

Just back from Vegas today and need to unpack before I can even start to pack.. starting tomorrow!!

Awesome-o!

We didn't book Palo originally, so this should be fantastic! What a nice touch on our first Disney cruise, one month before my wife's birthday.

Thank-you Micheal. We are also looking forward to this.
Now just to get the packing started and done. Two days off. Hopefully I can get it all done before I go back to work on Wed. night.:confused3

Just looking at the list of meets on the first page and realised we don't have a time for the Parley Pavement Poopers meet at the Conched Out Bar, for those who aren't energetic enough to run the 5K (and those who are and might be in need of alcoholic sustenance) ;) Shall we say 2pm? That should give everyone a chance to sunbathe and have some lunch - it will definitely be 5 o'clock somewhere by then :thumbsup2

Becky, can you update the first post please?

So glad this worked out for you guys - I know you'll enjoy it! :thumbsup2

You'll have your own server and plenty of time to chow down.

That sounds good to me (I'm allowed to be a Pounder and a Pooper, right? :confused3)

I believe I'll be needing a Konk Kooler by then :drinking1
