Parks on Fridays question

I will be arriving on a friday in early August and was wondering if it would be worth it to go to the parks. I am only staying 4 days and if I am going to the parks, this is the only day I would consider because of the scheduled Eride night. I have a couple of things that I would like to do in the parks, but I could always save them for another trip. I read the other post about Erides being better on Fridays, but I don't want to "waste" a ticket if the parks are going to be really crowded. I've been during Thanksgiving week a few years ago and that was a bit too much for me. How crowded will the parks be on Fridays in early August?

I have been to WDW several times in August and I will be there again this year and I find that Fridays aren't as crowded as one would think, we always go to the parks on Fridays. It's Saturday's that we avoid any park....very busy.

Thanks for the info. I knew Sat would be a madhouse, and sunday I thought I would go to a waterpark. The only day left is Friday and that Eride night is really enticing.
