Parks Game...taken to the next level??

Hi everyone! I like the idea of publishing all of our info & other tips to share with others! SAB, I was thinking sort of the same thing. A database driven website would be easy to access and allow you to do quick searches. I'm not very literate at setting up websites, but know almost enogh to be dangerous.

A book would be a good match so you could take it with you on a trip. They have "pocket guides" to various travel spots (although this won't really be a "guide"). These books are easy to pack, take up little room & give a lot of info. Is this the type of book we're looking at? Or something more the size of a Birnbaum book? Either is good, but I was just curious.

Question: how would we get hte book into print? I'm not familiar with the process, but I'm sure Higgs or someone else can enlighten me.

All in all, this is a great idea!! I even tried going back on the Trivia thread (pt2) to document some of the early question. All I can say is, oh, my....this may take a while!

Whichever direction you guys take, count me in too. I've done some basic web work (see my page), and I'm anal enough that I would sit here as long as necessary to copy the original and part deux threads into word or something we can work with as a database. This will also save the original from any impending kill file it may be facing.
Just let me know if you want me to start copying, and whatever else I can do to help.

If anything else...it would save all that info...Once it is in Word...it would be much easier to manipulate the data...

UPDATE: I saved the two threads locally should anything happen to them (kill file, server exploding, "Server Too Busy").

Wow! I'm outta commission for a day-and-a-half (wisdom teeth-long story) and the idea is up-and-running!! That sounds fabulous in book form... would we want yearly updates (1st edition, 2nd edition, etc...)? A website also appeals to me in that updating it would be quicker there would be more access to it. Count me in... as a lovely editrix/writer in the trade magazine world I could lend my expertise.
Am I making any sense? Darvocet is hard to wear off....

Just thought of something. Are we going to take titles for our little project group here like we did on WDWWDS? If so, I want to be Chief Carpal(sp??) Tunnel Syndrome. My copying of the original thread to Word is getting there, but it may take a while. Meanwhile, I have a great impression of my mouse in my right hand (and no, it is not a hidden Mickey ).

Higgs....sorry I've been slow to get to this thread and post my support. I think whatever form the project takes it could be a lot of fun.

I'll try to help in whatever way possible, though most know that I'm not the most knowledgeable WDW person around!

Title of the book? How about "WDW for Dummies" or "So You Think YOU Know Trivial Stuff about WDW" or "Chalk Circles, Dole Whips and Virtual Attractions: A Whimsical Look at WDW Minutia".

Higgs: I held an editorial/staff writer position for a publication entitled Hepatitis Magazine until December of last year (due to the unfortunate move to Fort Worth). I am now (as of April of this year) on the staff of Intele-CardNews, a publication dealing with the entire prepaid industry.
Totally boring, if you ask me, but my list of published articles goes beyond those two items........

But enough about me... Kudos already to Chief Carpal Tunnel Syndrome - he's a better man than I. (we should all hope so, at least)

MrsP....note that even when I'm on this thread suggesting book titles, I use the shotgun approach! Some habits are hard to break! And I love your signature with the pink kangaroo....I think we have a similar sense of humor there!
