I was thinking of brakes in the automobile world --- and I believe that test track does its braking in the track, not on the car -- so, that in my opinion is not car brakes. -- I was guessing that based on the word EXPECT in your question. i.e. I would expect the car to have brakes, when in fact it has none, because it is all done in the rides track.

Just my twisted way of coming up with a guess.

As far as what ride doesn't have brakes - I have no idea.
