Parks Game! Part 9! Keep Playing! Because If You Don't...You'll Be Sorry!

Good Morning!

Granny, is that the tree in the middle of Liberty Square in MK?
(the one who had such a lonnnng trip on a flatbed)

:jumping4: :jumping2: :jumping2:

MBabe....I am looking for a specific location (attraction), so I'm afraid your answer is a bit too broad! :)

wdw....the Liberty Tree is very old, older than this mulberry tree I"m sure, but that's not what I'm looking for.

It's in the China Pavilion, near the entrance to the Nine Dragons Restaurant.

JamesD...yep, you nailed it! That mulberry tree is one of the few things at WDW that is older than I am!!

A really old AAQ card to you James! Handle it with care! :p

Brrrr..... it's getting chilly here in PA ::yes::

Which mosaic in Epcot World Showcase's Morcco is flawed and why was it left that way?

:p

Mbabe - sorry to hear about the cold weather -- this is the time of year that us floridians really love our state :)

as far as the answer to your question -- I dont know, but I am facinated to find out.

:)

I don't know which mosaic it is, but I imagine it's flawed for the same reason that flaws are left--or even made on purpose--in oriental rugs. "Only Allah makes a perfect rug." Things made by human beings are always slightly imperfect.

Coaster... you have part of it,

Anyone have an idea on the first part?

:p

M Babe -

Is the mistake a mis-shapen (sp?) hidden Mickey? Possibly an inverted feature ( compared to the original I mean ).

btw - DW, DD and I just finalized plans for our next trip to WDW in mid January'04 when we will return to the Beach Club.....I can hardly wait......

:earsboy:

:wave2: Hi Adaddy.... so nice to see you here! Your trip sounds great, will it be DD's last as an only child? :)

ADad... I am looking for which mosaics are flawed not how they are flawed.

Any more guesses?

:smooth:

MBabe...I think every mosaic in Morocco is flawed...for the religious reasons already outlined.

ADaddy...it's always nice to see you here. Especially now that we have this lovely Chalk Circle smilie..:grouphug:

Please note that the boy/girl/boy/girl arrangement is being followed for that particular activity! :p

Thank you for the welcome.

It's difficult to say if this will be DD's last as an only child...unfortunately we had a miscarriage, so we'll have to wait and see what the future holds for us in that department.

I like Granny's answer ( and the CC smile arrangement ), but just incase he's wrong, I'll say that the one's on the left are flawed!

:earsboy:

 Oh oh oh..... I'm in ;)..... :grouphug:

Granny .... you are correct....

When walking through Morocco, take a look at all of the mosaic tile artwork on the walls. You will notice that each mosaic has at least one cracked/flawed tile in it. This is because these mosaics were created by Moroccan artisans in a unique arrangement with the Moroccan gov't and Disney as mentioned before. The Moroccan people worship Allah, and believe that only Allah can create something that is "perfect," so every mosaic was purposely flawed!

Slightly flawed AAQ cards to Coaster :upsidedow and Granny:tilt:

:)

Sorry to hear that ADad. :( Sending Prayers & Pixie Dust. :)

Thank-You MBabe.

I have sign off for the day, but I'll be back tomorrow. DW, DD and I were last at WDW in Nov. of '02 at the Boarwalk. We've never been during January ( we'll be there 11/14-11/18 ) and this is the longest period of time that we've spent away from WDW in the past 6 years. I know that Mission Space and Mickey's Philarmagic have both opened since our last visit. What other changes should we expect, and how is WDW in January? Any chance that the Osborne lights will still be up? ( I'm pretty sure that they'll be down, but I'd love to be wrong about that....) In short,.....I'm looking for trip planning ideas,....as long as they don't interfere with the game!

:earsboy:

Adaddy--BE SURE to check out Mickey's Philharmagic --turn around at the end--and also the "primeval whirl" in DAK if you have not seen it---verrrry fun!

What IS the question for tonite?

:bounce: :Pinkbounc :bounce:

Oh well....I'll just be over here with the Dole Whips waiting for the next question.....
Wait....I can ask one...LOL

Here goes (I am a little rusty at this :p )
topic: WDW costumed characters (a.k.a Sweaty Teenagers in Large Masks)
OK...in which WDW park would guests encounter a costumed Simba character walking around greeting guests?

Hey...I'm back...and it looks like my question is still open...Granny guessed DAK...but sorry, that's not it.....Oh well....I won't be on until late tomorrow, so I'll just have to leave it there for more guesses.....

Have a great Friday:wave2:

Okay Higgs....my guess for this week is Disney MGM Studios! :p

ADaddy...the Osborne lights are out this year because they're tearing up that street on the Backlot Tour and putting in a new car chase stunt show there.

And turning in my slightly flawed AAQ card....

What two things are you told to hold onto at the beginning of the BTMRR ride?

Thought Granny nailed it---is it MGM?

While we wait for Higgs....

What ride has no brakes?

 :wave2:

wdw....I would think that the continuous load rides wouldn't have "brakes". Things like Peter Pan's Flight, Haunted Mansion, Pooh Ride, etc.

Also, the runaway mine train supposedly has lost its brakes on BTMRR, but thank goodness they seem to find them at the end!!:p
