Who will be the "narrator" of the new "Wishes" nighttime spectacular at Magic Kingdom, starting next month?

Good Evening all... I am here for a short visit only to say:

:Pinkbounc :bounce: Jiminy Cricket:Pinkbounc :bounce:

Granny! Here is your answer! Whoo hoo! I am excited to see the new show during my December visit!

And to any OTHER open questions out there... my answer is
HORIZONS! :p

Hmmm....I thought the slogan on Pete's grage was "We Got Gas...:)"

OK...off to watch the fireworks now...may be back later...and if I'm not...have a great weekend...:)

I have an interesting bit of Disneyland trivia that also pertains to the Magic Kingdom, since it was patterned after DL.

Why is DL's Tomorrowland located where it is now, and not Adventureland, which according to the original drawings was supposed to be located on the right side of the park?

Ummmm....does it have something to do with the highway that runs right outside Disneyland on the Tomorrowland side (I was shocked when I was there last year...was used to WDW being so isolated....)

BTW...be careful....that is a DL question....I think I hear stirrings in the garage of the dreaded black monorail....:)

And a wishful AAQ to our old friend magical....nice to see you here! Yep, it's Jiminy Cricket who narrates the new "Wishes" extravaganza. :)

James....I'd like to hear the answer to your question...hopefully we'll be able to hear it before the Parks Game Semantics Police show up and haul you off for asking a non-WDW question!! :p :p :p

OK....I have some moldy AAQs....so I'm going to try and toss one out there....I'll make it a softie, just in case I don't get back for a day or so...don't want to hold up the game....

What is the proper spelling of the name for the MK castle?

I knew you'd get that MBabe...:)

An "-'s"-free shaped card for you....:)

OK...someone put out the torches....I'm off to sleep....

Good night....

ZZZZZZZZZZZZzzzzzzzzzzz

Okay, I apologize! But you need to know something about Disneyland to understand the Magic Kingdom. I could of asked why Tomorrowland is located where it is today, but the answer would of been because that's where it was at DL!
So, the story goes that the original layout was to have Adventureland on the right side of the park. When Disneyland was being laid out, Walt told the contractor to cut down all of the trees with a green tag and leave the trees with a red one so the trees could be used as part of the landscape. Well, when Walt showed up after the land was cleared, he was disappointed to find all of the trees had been removed! When he asked why, he was told it was because the man removing the trees was color blind! So, a new location for Tomorrowland was born.
Sorry for the long explanation! Back to your regularly scheduled thread. :)

James, Great piece of trivia! No need to be sorry, Why, the Dreaded Black Monorail isn't all that bad.... sometimes you even have company ;).... Not to mention Higgs has posted afew very similar questions too ;). That's why he started the General "Disney Trivia... Let's Play!" thread over on the Community board :teeth:

I'll toss out an early morning softball for the weekend crew.....

What are the names of the engines at the WDWRR?

A jet propelled AAQ to NASANUT who knew that 2036 answer!

LOL...nice plug for the other game MBabe....:)

OK...a new question since it seems slow here tonight.....

and in honor of JamesD...another DL question (I LOVED his last one...and don't worry...I have it on good authority that the DBM is undergoing rehab at this time...so we're safe....:p)
OK...here goes...
While Walt died before it was built...he did have some input into the design of WDW's MK...so what was his reasoning for building the castle so much taller than Sleeping Beauty Castle at DL???

:p Hahaha..... I'll do publicity for you anytime Higgs buddy ;)

Higgs.... Building Cinderella Castle taller afforded the addition of the utilidors and he wanted it to be seen from across the lake at the TTC.

Don't forget to get the tiki torches, I'll be over here in the second hammock to the right... straight on 'till morning ;)

Hey MBabe....:)...you got it...I'm not sure what height has to do with Utilidors...but it is true...he wanted it to be visible from the TTC...the reasoning being that the DL castle is so short (and I was surprised how small it was up close) so you can't see it from the outside world...and the illusion of fantasy is preserved....BUT since the MK in WDW is 5-7 miles from the nearest highway...and guests have driven so far to get to the parking lot without a glimpse...and when they get to the TTC they still had a mile or so to go....he wanted the castle to be tall and visible to reassure them that it was there...and they were getting closer...
I thought that was pretty neat....:)

OK...it's getting quiet enough here...I'm putting out the torches...and I'll be in my hammock in front of the CC plasma TV in anticipation of the first NFL Sunday of the season (GO PATRIOTS...:))

Have a good night...:D

ZZZZZZZZZZZzzzzzzzzzz

hey wake up everybody. I'm all alone. Football starts in a couple of hours. Time to get things shakin. I KNEW there was a Ward Kimball I just was too chicken to type it. se la vie

now for a great question ... tapping fingers impatiently trying to think of one that has not been on the last couple of threads

wainting.....thinking.... thinking....AHA

On the replica of the moon outside the Mission Space, there are red, white and blue markers. Can anyone guess what each color represents?
